I am Canadian with a different background i know none of the European languages except maybe a bit of French Canadians learn French when they live here for a very long time also its thought in school , and I also knew 3 words in Norwegian because of SKAM.. :-D hahaha
It's funny and interesting how we people who speak English we say DUMB for stupid people. Lol. Like here in Canada i always hear people say "are you dumb? or "are you stupid?" I say these sentences too. It's also considered a Toronto thing, I live near Toronto and most people in Toronto and cities nearby it say those sentences very often.
I’m surprised how much pf this isn’t slang, how much of it is poorly translated and how much is just written incorrectly or in the wrong tense or form. Wow
So "Blæste" can mean...a lot of stuff -- I've never heard it in the context of playing loud music, but I'd definitely understand what you meant if you used the word in that context.
isn't it like the English word 'blast' -- you can say that you are blasting music as in playing it loudly, but also like 'it was a blast' when something was exciting, 'to blast a hole in the wall' -- to make a huge whole in the wall, 'to blast off' -- to leave in a rocket :D ... it comes from Old English blǣst -- a blowing, and was used for wind
@@gal1l1l-f7c Yeah, I think I was just outright stupid 9 months ago, or drunk... "Blæste" is a well known term that can be used for "blasting music", but it's more of an outdated term. Now "blæste" is more or less a slang term used when (usually guys) brag to their friends that they had sex. "Jeg blæsta henne", lit. translated "I blasted her", which in this context means something like "I fucked her brains out" or something like that. This probably comes from the English meaning of the word that can be used in the sense of "to go full blast" - that you're going full capacity.
