"Good suggestion and we might use this for future video content. A laser level does add precision and prevents dragging a box level across the floor." - Daniel
"Different people prefer different machines. It probably depends on how big the area is and how much material needs to be removed. An edger is a good tool to address smaller areas and remove a good amount of material, buffers are great for cleaning dirt and dust off larger areas and big machines can be good for leveling larger areas but are probably used the least." - Daniel
Good question! You can use a subfloor leveling product. The product will vary based on how unlevel it is and what type of subfloor you have. We have a video that covers some products to use to prep and level a subfloor - th-cam.com/video/TCNZJ3KYZUc/w-d-xo.html
What product should I use on OSB to fill in low spots. Henry's and Ardex say not for use on OSB. Do I just ignore that?
this was so helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Shouldn’t you do the screwing down loose subfloor panels before flatness checking?
"Good point, if the subfloor is loose and going to be pulled tight by screws then you would want to do this first."
