Rob Halford is, was, and always shall be, one of the greatest metal frontmen of all time. "Living After Midnight" would be my nomination for your next JP song. P.S. Please give Radiohead another try. You won't regret it. Jay did "Creep" in the very first week and didn't like it, but you haven't given them a second chance. "Fake Plastic Trees" or "Karma Police" will blow your minds.

💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 both with the Livin After Midnight and giving Creep another chance. Not only has Jay's appreciation of different kinds of music evolved over the course of the channel, but not only has Amber's appreciation grown as well, but I REALLY think she'll get the angst and the longing in it.

Judas Priest is one of the oldest, still touring, metal bands with 53 years and counting. I saw them four years ago, twice, for the tour of their latest album Firepower. They were supposed to celebrate their 50th year but then covid, so last year, a couple of years late, they did that. Another great song is Living After Midnight.

Judas Priest is great. The guitar duo of Glen Tipton and KK Downing set the standard for dual guitar attacks. I was lucky enough to see them multiple times in different stages of their career and they were always great. Rob Halford has a couple solo albums that rock, too.
You really need to listen to Y&T. I’ve been telling you about them for months. I promise you will love them. They aren’t copies of Judas Priest, but they definitely are the same genre and have the same vibe. If you love Breaking The Law, you’ll love the Y&T songs Mean Streak, Black Tiger, Hang ‘em High, Forever, Open Fire and Many, many others. Please, please, please listen to Y&T

I see my older brother singing in a hairbrush to this song. Great song , also reminds me of Beevis and Butthead cartoon. Most hard rock concerts you have certain protesters saying it is devil Music, then in the 80's we had parental guidelines put on music . Dee Snider of Twisted Sister was a big activist against this parental guidelines. I hope you do Cinderella - Shelter Me.

Aside from that, I can't wait for you to tackle "The Hellion/Electric Eye". A live version would be great there.
If you want more metal, Motörhead is just waiting for you. I'm itching for "Killed by Death", but "Going to Brazil" is fun. And if you want older, deeper Lemmy, "I Don't Believe a Thing" and "God Was Never on Your Side" show how much they grew.

But I always listened to other music and never stuck to just one type. For more of the melodic and groovy side of Priest, you can't go wrong with the trio of early '80s albums British Steel, Point of Entry and Screaming for Vengeance.

Awesome Priest, they always brought the fire. For another Priest classic, you need to hear Victim of Changes, first the original studio for the amazing mix and pure, heavy sound, then try the live version from Unleashed in the East or the video live from 1983 Memphis. That is one of the great songs in all of rock, regardless of genre. Robert Halford marks his territory on this track. Scorching double guitar interplay and a full range of dynamics make for a memorable experience. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

More Priest! Turbo was my album for work - put it in and mow the lawn, bike across town, whatever - it's pure energy.
Turbo Lover, Parental Guidance, Wild Nights, Hot & Crazy Days. The soundtrack of my teenage and early 20s.

Lead singer Rob Halford is an LGBTQ icon. After decades of concealing his sexuality for fear of backlash, he finally felt safe coming out in the late 90s and thankfully was embraced rather than rejected. He jokes that it was always open in his lyrics and dress but since he was in a metal band ppl assumed he was a typical womanizing rock star and never picked up on the hints he was discretely dropping. A true legend, on stage and off. Glad you guys liked them :)

To what you were saying at the end about artists growing on you, I can’t tell you how many’s albums I’ve listened to over the years where at first I hated it, but after a few listens, they end up being some of my favorites.

1980. Such a Guitar Riff. Judas Priest set the Stage then for all the Metal Bands to come after.
Rob Halford’s look has changed a bit too ;)

Twenty years before "Breaking The Law" was released the Crickets released a song "I Fought the Law" (and the law won), famously covered by the Bobby Fuller Four (1966), and the Clash (1979).

You need to remember that this was 1979-1980. Speed metal was not a thing yet except Motorhead, which is hardcore. Judas Priest was new and blew us away. Duel lead guitar and Rob Halford's voice is killer
