This worked really well. Had to peel off the labels, leaving that sticky residue. I tried just oil or oil with baking soda, And oil by itself, dissolved the glue off bottles, which then stuck my hands and I could wash off with dish soap. The baking soda made the glue stick strongly to my hands so I stopped using it.
How much vinegar?
It looked like she did like 1.5 cups or so for her big pot
Where have you been all my life?!! I will consider us an advanced society when labels come off without leaving glue!
This worked perfectly! Thank you!!
The oil + baking soda trick worked! 😃. Many thanks for the tip!
This actually works, thank you!
Amazing! I had a difficult time cleaning glue and voila it worked so beautifully. Thank you for this amazing idea.
Just going to try for my Jam jars thank you
Have always been trying the vinegar process but off late been struggling with a tricky one. Had amazing result with the oil and baking soda mix. TY!
So helpful!! Thanks.
A big Thx ! I've been scrubing & scrubbing this wonderfully shaped jar that had glue that would not come off. baking soda and olive oil very quickly did the trick. I don't know why, but I'm in love that jar and now I use it.
I will definitely use this tips!!!!! Thanks dear ❤
Great video..thank you
Thanks for your video. Worked a treat 😊
My beechnut jars' glue did not respond to the vinegar+dishsoap soak, BUT once I removed the labels THE PASTE worked like a charm
So how do you remove labels from plastic jars?
thank you!!!
Thank you
Works nice thx
Why would you use expensive avocado oil for that? 😳
Amazing I recycle jars for my business and this is a lifesaver!!! can't wait to try the nasty glue trick!! Thank you!!!
Hey. If you've tried it, how'd it work for ya?
@@MessyRessy haha wow this post is a bit of a throwback! Yeah it worked like a charm! Even the grubby silly ones that I hate came up clear! 👍
Great tips 😊
It's actually crazy, but everything she says is spot on, a bit of scrubbing on the final part and your jars will be free of labels.
Not sure why, but I love watching this video over and over 🤪
Creeep
omg it works
I have apple cider vinegar, will thatwork
Thank you I was using goof off spray and its so toxic to breathe. 😮
Our Bikini Tickle Fight Network and their sister channel the Bikini Oil Wrestling Network contacted the recycling people and they said "be sure the containers are emptied and rinsed but you can leave the labels on" so that's exactly what we did....so there.
What if you cannot get Avicado Oil, which is really expensive.
What alternative to Avocado Oil?
any oil will work. canola, coconut, olive oil
Actually the main jar and bottle glue all you need is to soak them in just water for 10 to 20 minutes no need to boil or add vinegar...the nasty trick thou I appreciate thnk u am going to try it right now😉
Nope, that didn't work for me. I tried and tried. But the olive oil baking soda trick did work and very quickly too.
expensive using olive oil! can you sub another cheap oil?
@@suratiivey9142
Tried that also, depends on the glue and bottle and lable i think. Weve had bottles sitting in water for 3days now with no budge. The boiling vinegar water worked tho!
Why the hell are you using the most expensive oil, avocado oil? Canola oil is 1/10th the price and just as effective.
Avocado oil is WAY too expensive for this! I'd recommend sunflower oil.
Talks to fast
Doesn't work with plastic stickies on jars
Most people don't have these ingredients. I'm just going to soak mine in hot water for half an hour and pray for the best.
Results?
It's been a while but I had no issues with just a hot water soak. You could even bring some water to a boil (let it cool a bit first before pouring it over glass) @@MessyRessy and it should come off just fine. You may have to fiddle with it a bit and do some scraping with either your nail or a knife but it should come off easily.
Did both, did not clean off label 👎
Hmmm my jar cracked from the heat
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nope. Doesn't work.
Waste of time, neither method worked for us. Very disappointed.
