This recipe is absolutely fantastic, thank you!!! About the glaze... I don't like it when it's crackly - even on my doughnut; so I add some drops of lemon juice when I make it. It still dries up but it's not crackly. I'll definitely try out your recipe!!!
Very nice presentation. I enjoy watching others make similar cakes, pies and cookies. I find that adding cherries and increasing the first layer to a crumble with a touch more nuts, cherries and crumble mixture works perfectly and looks perfect. The icing can be dropped because the brown sugar levels are increased. The combination of apples and cherries always a favorite, especially when you have 30 fruit trees of many types.
My husband is an apple fritter fanatic! He would love this cake. And congratulations on over 1k subscribers! I remember one of your first videos when you were making pasta for the first time. I’m so happy for you. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
I try this recipe and the bundt cake is marvelous!! Awesome video, very easy to follow and most of all delicious. My family love the bundt cake, Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe 😁
Hi Alicia!🙋🏻♀️ OMG! This looks so delicious!😍😋 I can’t keep up with all of your amazing recipes. I’m still waiting for my daughter to be home on a weekend to make your pumpkin crunch! 😁🤗 And now this! 😍 Desserts like this I wished I liked cooked apples more. I might have to make my apples really really tiny!!😂 But I love bundt cakes. Especially with a yummy glaze.😋😍 This looks so good my friend! Wonderful share! Happy Friday!😃❤️❤️
Hi Michelle!🙋♀️ I hope you get to make that pumpkin crunch when your daughter is home because it is good! I love Bundt cakes too, actually I love any cake! My hubby doesn't care for cooked apples either so he wasn't a fan of those big chunks I did in this. I really like this recipe but I think the peach Bundt cake I did is better. It is one of my favorites actually. I would recommend that one over this one, especially since you aren't a cooked apple fan. Thank you so much for watching, sweet friend and have a beautiful weekend!!😊💛💜
Apple Fritters are so good; wish my stomach did better with baked goods cause your recipes always look amazing! It turned out so beautiful Alicia, thanks for sharing! Full watch, big like! :)
Hi Vara! Apple fritters are one of those things that I just love but I know they are so bad for you! Thanks so much for watching and have a wonderful weekend!!😊💗🍎
Nabol is a HUGE fan of apple fritters. We like granny smith too. Flour overboard~! Haha I can see why you did bigger pieces of apples. It works best. You can get apples in every bite. Parnell has some great tips. Looks like such a festive cake. Nice touch with the glaze.
Apple fritters are one of my weaknesses, they are so good! I make the biggest messes when I cook, I just don't usually show them! Thanks as always for watching, Maria!! 😊
Apple fritters are so good but usually so oily! Yours looks nice and light. Thanks Alicia and great to know the frosting recipe works so well. Neat too that you got it from a fellow YTer 🙌
@@AliciaLynnYT thank you so much; he passed away almost twent-seven years ago. I'm thinking this would be great for Thanksgiving. He was my biggest cake fan. January 7 would have been his 82nd birthday. I believe this will be a delicious tribute.
Either would be fine, Nancy. I think the glaze stays nice looking for a long time so it probably would be ok to glaze first if you didn't want to mess with it when you get to your destination!
WOW, that cake looks amazing! I agree: Granny Smith would give a nice tart / sweet combination. I know that everyone wants to use Honeycrisp apples in everything (at least around here), but sometimes sweet along with a bit of tartness is actually better. Nice combination of spices. I have actually never used cloves in ANYTHING lol. I would never have thought to use a fork to sprinkle the brown sugar and spice mixture into the pan. I will have to steal that! Your glaze looked good! Did it harden up over time? And thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate your support, and the conversations we have here on TH-cam. I remember when we were both met around this time last year...or perhaps earlier). We've come a long way. Congrats on 1,000. You deserve it!
Hi Parnell! I love using Granny Smith in things like this for that tartness. And I'm surprised you have never used cloves! Unless of course you don't like them which I know a lot of people don't. I love the flavor myself. And the fork worked well to sprinkle that brown sugar and spices. The glaze did harden, it worked really well, thanks! My daughter commented on how good it was and was surprised when I told her it was just water and powdered sugar. You are very welcome and thank you! I appreciate your support as well as our conversations on here. You were one of my very first subscribers, right around a year ago and it has been so neat to watch both of our channels grow. Here's to more success in this coming year!!😃
@@AliciaLynnYT I've actually never cooked with Granny Smith...only Golden Delicious. lol. I will have to try Granny Smith in a cake or something. I just haven't tried cloves. There is a Chilean Christmas drink called "cola de mono" that has cloves that I was going to try, but who knows when I'll get to it. The glaze is amazing that it will set up with just powdered sugar and water. I think the amount of water makes the different: too much water, and I've found that it doesn't "really" get hard...it stays at least somewhat soft. And yes, I remember! We have both grown a lot over the past year--I'm excited to see what next year brings. Speaking of which, I'm working on something BIG for next year after I go back to Argentine food in January (perhaps that is what I will do every year lol, 1/2 year USA, 1/2 year Argentine)...so stay tuned!
@@ParnellTheChef That Christmas drink sounds really good, I hope you get a chance to make it! And I think the idea of doing 1/2 year Argentine and 1/2 year USA is a good one. Looking forward to what you are working on!
@@AliciaLynnYT There are so many things to make, not sure when I'll get to it. Yes, good way to split it up...although long-term I predict it going 66% Argentine though...we'll see. Thank you! I'm sure you'll like it!

I'm making this for the second time. It's so yummy! This time I was out of sour cream and yogurt so in a pinch I used Mayo 😬... Seems to of worked out though! Tastes great!
@@AliciaLynnYT it turned out almost too moist with the mayo but was still very tasty. If I ever had to use mayo again I would cut it in half or leave out the eggs. I prefer the sour cream option texture wise. So hopefully I will remember to pick some up!
