Nate strikes me as the kind of guy who might have been at the top of his game years ago, but now the industry has progressed without him and a lot of powerful new talent is springing up around him, along with new tools and techniques and styles, and he's found himself woefully behind. And now rather than work to catch up, he's coasting on reputation and he thought that would carry him through.

Nonsense. At the end of the day, longer does not mean better. His artistry and opinion got him sent home and yet.. Ryan became the inkmaster (with 4 yrs of tattooing), Kelly is a new school specialist and widely known in that field, they both were on Ink Master: Angels where they were judges and tattooed against other potential contestants, and Ryan won ink master battle of the sexes against other coaches (which included DJ who happened to be also another inkmaster) and that judging was blind. They are both wildly successful. You can never be too old or experienced to take advice and he got a big bite of humble pie. Karma
I have been wondering why I like Kelly so much, but not anymore. She is sweet and also gives honest good advices and guidence to people (while fully aware that it is a competition, and it might come biting her in long run), also you can see that she really is sad for Nate for not taking her word with the highlighting the statues head. I get why DJ was worried about his canvas but he was being pretty rude. The canvas was trying his best to sit for them and understands what him sitting means for them, but DJ just kept bashing him because he was shaking. The canvas cant help it, if he could be still he would.

The shaking is probably from not being able to tolerate the pain i think. I got my first on my outter calf never moved tensed or shook. So it could be his pain tolerance that caused it

So if it wasn’t from the pain (which already wouldn’t have been his fault) it could have been the way his body was responding to getting a tattoo done (which REALLY isn’t his fault). I got really shaky when I got one on the back of my neck. I have an extremely high pain tolerance. I honestly didn’t even really feel it (I got one on my lower back and didn’t feel that one at all) but I was shaking so hard. The tattoo guy said it was just my body’s reaction to getting a tattoo done there. Really dumb to bash a client for something they can’t control.

Jessie shoulda had that one he treated it professionally like a walk in off the street expertly delivered exactly what his canvass wanted, that's why that tattoo is so impressive to me, so indicative of his new school prowess. Obvious he's so adept and completely flexible with the style that his canvass could have wanted anything and he'd have delivered perfection casually. Not flashy or purposefully designed to win or impress but just exactly humbly what his canvass wanted and still the best of the group.

I don't know why they showed the heart tattoo when Sarah was talking... that wasn't even her tattoo. And I felt bad for Jesse when Sarah got the win over him. Sausage's new school dinosaur is probably one of the best tattoos the competition has seen, sometimes the design is what really sets a tattoo apart. It's such a cool image.
I can relate to Cleen saying he likes to "get it the fuck done". I don't care how tough anyone is, they don't feel good. My favorite and best tatoo was broken up into two sessions because it was primarily one color and all shading and the artist didn't want to cause trauma to my skin.

That being said, you can still get a tattoo of course but you should think about it carefully, not go and get it as a spur of the moment decision.

I can relate to Cleen saying he likes to "get it the fuck done". I don't care how tough anyone is, they don't feel good. My favorite and best tatoo was broken up into two sessions because it was primarily one color and all shading and the artist didn't want to cause trauma to my skin.
