She literally is a Vampire Haunted Doll! Kirsten Dunst was so young in that movie so I try not to include super young actresses in my videos but her dresses were stunning and I love loved her hair!
@@silkymochi XG (kpop group) in the woke up music video made a combination of werewolf and avant apocalypse from my point of view. Don't worry, I'm just trying to talk about style and share ideas, is your channel after all.
@rowanjoy419 No worries, I appreciate it still! Was just explaining why Werewolf wasn't a part of the main 5 Muses because it was tough to make it broad enough & diverse enough
I'm so happy you're a Haunted Doll! I was worried she wouldnt have as many fans since most of my comments didn't mention this as their muse when they took the test so this makes me happy 🖤
I was JUST watching a video on American McGee’s Alice when you uploaded. Though it’s not one of my main muses, the game very much gives Victorian haunted doll with a dash of steampunk. I loveee this series!! You’ve reawakened my love for dark style 🖤
I agree! But that Alice in Wonderland game will be referenced in the Fairy video since the colors are more saturated and the Haunted Doll is more muted 👀
Ahh I get it now. I guess that’s what gives the typically “cute” doll that eerie, sunken feeling. It’s devoid of life and color. Ugh your mind!!! I’ve been so excited for the dark fairy muse video too. I’m so lost as to how to bring it to life. I feel like the concept lives in my head and then when I look at my closet I don’t have what I need! 😭
i got siren and haunted doll as my only results, i’m all IN for this kind of style and i’m OBSESSED, this is such a lovely take on both and the subdued elegance is enchanting (i will call myself siren doll now, lol) ✨
i’ve binged the rest of this series and absolutely love it!! i don’t necessarily like wearing big frilly dresses in every day life but as a dark/ alternative person who also collects dolls, it’s inspiring to see this styled in so many ways 😍 I especially enjoy the makeup and accessories. i’d say my style leans more between vampire & witchy but i’d love to start using old victorian dolls as a muse. i think alice in wonderland could definitely fit into this aesthetic, especially the dark alice video game from the 2000s which i was obsessed with lol. not sure if it counts but also monster high dolls, tho they’re more modern/ y2k kind of fashion. i don’t think you mentioned it directly but another film i love as inspiration is crimson peak, beautiful costume & set design. another source of inspiration for myself and others if you’ve not seen them are these beautiful porcelain dolls created by a russian artist called Enchanted Doll- highly recommend checking out her work, even as art & design inspo as well. (also yes the movie poor things is controversial but despite the criticism, and as a film lover myself, i adored this movie as well as the obviously gorgeous costumes! i could rant about the themes of this film for hours lol)
Thank you for binging my series 🖤 So yes, Alice in Wonderland absolutely is! So MgGees Alice in Wonderland and Monster High will be in Fairy since Doll is more muted and Fairy is more bright and saturated Same! I am more Witch but the more I look at Haunted Doll styles or frills in a dark way is inspiring me to add more elements like this So I mention Crimson Peak a lot in my other videos so I try to vary my references lol
Gosh! I was looking for sewing tutorials and mindlessly scrolling through a bunch of videos until suddenly yours popped up and clicked immediately haha I've been waiting for The Haunted Doll video for ages! I got so excited. Thank you.
Even though I don't dress as dark as I did once, I enjoy your videos for the visuals and especially your calm, interesting way of talking. Very nice to listen to x
God, I love these muse videos, Melissa! As you already know I have Witch/Vamp energy but I do occasionally feel drawn to the haunted doll look in the form and fascination of lace and Victorian (inspired) eras. I can't help but think of Lucy Westerna from Dracula when I think of haunted dolls and vamps, but I'm not mad at it.
I looooove FKA Twigs and shes shown all over my Doll Pinterest board but I'd say shes more Fairy Witch in majority of her fits And yes! Claudia & Ester would definitely be Haunted Doll, as you can tell I try not to show child actors in my videos but you're spot on! Its all in the details 🖤
Heyy❣️❣️I must tell you that you were my inspiration to keep my bangs after all and cut them even shorter! As a Kibbe FG asymmetric hair works best for me so I keep my baby bangs a bit on the side and they will stick now and one of my style goal is to give a haunted Amelie -vibe, that has obvious elements from this haunted doll aesthetic too 🥀
(raises hand) ...I may have dabbled a bit in this style when I was younger. Not so much the dresses, but deffo the floofy tops and somewhat piratical sensibility (so Siren/Doll?). Great video, by the by!
Omg I love your videos. I was in so much need of inspo. Also maybe off topic question, but is there a way to know which glasses you were wearing in your Kitchener video. I’m in desperate need of similar glasses 🙏
What about Werewolf ? "fabric": fur Pattern: animal print colours: bold colours and warm tones inspiration: clawdeen accesories: fangs key point: voluminous hair or messy hair Leaning: nature, supernatural is similar to witch, as some witches are shape-shifters in folk stories or has a cat companion.
It depends on how you want to go about it but it would be between Vampire & Witch - all the muses can be either Warm or Cool! I'd say Vampire because usually lore wise they coexist but Witch because that's the most natural of the 5. Clawdeen is VERY saturated and colorful so that would be Fairy I actually did consider Werewolf but it wasn't broad like the 5 entities, Werewolf in itself was so specific and these muses are meant to be not too specific but a broadened muse to aim for then you narrow down to your liking, Werewolf was too specific
Oh I just saw the rest of your comment! You are spot on with it being closest to Witch as they are shape shifters and they are the muse that wears natural-esque pieces and fur being technically natural. Thats for a more traditional Werewolf but something more cartoon like Clawdeen or a Goosebumps iteration of a 90s Halloween style is Fairy
@@silkymochi I wasn't planning in yapping, I just thought of it watching the video, after I comment I usually read my own comment to see if is understandable 😅 and I realize I have something more to say so I keep editing it 😅 then I realize you comment on it, that was fast, I'm so surprise ❤
This makes me wonder where a sorta dark hobbit-esque style would fit in. I feel like its a bit different from cottagecore, with more practical elements and less ruffles and fru-fru.
In fiary doll = Crimson peak also has those sleeves that are in poor things 😅 but maybr you didn't wanted to use it again, cause in previous videos you use it.
Thats exactly it! I talk about Crimson Peak is almost ALL my videos, I try to vary it 😅 I talked about them in my original 5 Muse Video under the Haunted Doll so technically I already did reference the movie specifically for this muse already lol
It’s so funny you did this video because I’ve been playing around with 1920s/70s Biba look. Specifically Clara Bow and I straight up just looked like an antique doll.😅 Wasn’t the look I was going for, but it was certainly a look.
@ certainly! I think it’s because of my facial features in general. I have fleshy cheeks,a small chin and black curly hair and the look only emphasized those features. I didn’t mind the outcome, just was unexpected 😅. I’m so use to doing more “natural” goth looks it was quite a shock to look and see a very different face staring back at me. Ive loved Clara Bow since I first saw her “it” movie with my grandma, as well as anything Biba. My husband loved the look though😆
god i love this look so much. all i can think of is claudia from interview with the vampire. she's my number one style icon forever

1830's is the historical period I always associate with a doll look
Definitely! But I dont want to narrow it down to one time period since there are various Haunted Doll iterations in any time period 🖤

Could you do dark fairy next?🥺
Dark Fairy coming early in Jan 🖤
