After the season with Chris and Paige I was over with MAFS. I don’t think they do their due diligence when selecting people. I really do hate that Miles and Karen didn’t make it. I love Woody and Armani. I hope they continue to be a happy couple.

I think what they did to Paige was horrible. I feel like each season after hers, they gaslit a new Black woman with a unavailable man & painted her as crazy. Then flipped it and paired Black men with woman who didn't want them on any level.

I'm starting to feel that they mismatch on purpose to have a more volatile season. It used to seem like they matched people genuinely but in recent years there are people that make me question why they were even casted.
As someone who was married to a bipolar person I totally understand why they’re not together anymore. It’s hard to deal with a person who is always depressed 😢

My heart breaks for both Karen and Miles. In their marriage love was not enough. May the Lord continue to bless and guide both of them in all of their endeavors.
I actually related to Karen the most over all the seasons of MAFS. People thought she was cold but I knew she was anxious, cautious, and authentic. So sad for her!

@@Lovelyone1it’s bc most of us women are conditioned with internalized misogyny. Women will pick apart another women especially when they perceive them to have a good man. While Karen isn’t perfect, miles had several red flags that were ignored.
I think it’s weird people come on the show because they want to be married but most of them absolutely are not ready to be married. Some of the stuff they complain or dismiss, are some of the key things as a couple you suppose to learn how to work through. But even more so, you are suppose to know you first, some of these people don’t. He said something major to Karen in the very beginning, he spoke about his mental health, at that moment she should have taken that in consideration if she wanted to be committed to someone who have to live with that. It takes so much more to deal with a person with issues, the best thing for Miles to do was get to know someone slowly, instead of being on the show. He had no business being on a show like this or moving this fast.
@@mpr92482 she did take all that into consideration and she said as much. The blk women viewers were pissed at her saying that bc he was a “good blk man” and she was undeserving. Also, i took the breakup was from side not knowing what he wanted . He didn’t know if he wanted to be together with her from one day to the next. He may have had more than just depression going on. She tried her best and I think she would make a great wife to anyone. She is introspective and takes her time.
Her anxiety was palpable. Miles seemed like a teddy bear. It is so hard to trust and allow someone in your heart. Miles may regret this move. Karen is strong and beautiful, and I know she will be fine. She will do great things.

I luv Woody and Amani, their love and respect for each other. I luv her calm demeanor and candor about this pregnancy and Woody’s sensitivity about her feelings. Reign is so cute. I wish them all the best🙏❤️.

My heart goes out to Karen. I could hear her voice breakibg. She seemed to have genuinely lived Myles. Myles had mental health I feel he was highly impulsive. He quickly " fell in and out of love". There may be some other issues also that he has failed to identify and address. Karen, you person is out there. In time you will find him. Now you know that you can give of yourself to someone. Next time the person will give you back true love, commitment and protection.
I really am so proud of Amani for being so honest about everything w her pregnancy. I'm proud of Woody for loving and support his wife through all this. They are really creating a safe space for their family to grow and be strong. ❤❤❤

I agree to a certain extent. I think this is great to express to close family and friends, but to have her future child know that this is out there on the Internet for all to see is different.
Glad Karen chose to tell her story on her terms. Her comments about the experts were spot on. They’re a couple of generations past their expiration date. I wish Karen and Miles healing and peace🙏.
Yes. The experts don't understand the mentality of single people now versus when they were single. It's totally different and that difference matters.

The whole point of the experts is to show people what works longterm regardless of how dated it may seem. I don't understand why anyone would want the experts to adjust to the current dating scene that clearly isn't working.
They are trying to teach people stuck in their ways to date/love longterm. It's on these couples to learn what lasts and break their bad habits.

Gurlll, they’ve awful‼️ Their theories underlying relationships and reasons for matching couples are warped to begin and when, predictably and for good reason they end up not working, they levy blame and attempt to evoke guilt😱😱. And both of them are divorcees to boot😱😱and Pepper ain’t even living with her second husband.

As someone who has dated before and after the internet was popular, I can 1000% confirm the way people behave towards a potential match is much much different than before. When there are literally 1,000s of options folks navigate much differently than when the experts were single...for better or for worse.
@@wentzel812 They’re choosing wrongly for couples by selecting people who are not marriage ready. They ignore stated dealbreakers and then try to convince folks in 8 weeks to make a lifetime commitment. Physical attraction is a thing. Why match a person with another who has a physical or other characteristic they’ve said they do not like? A person who wants children with one who doesn’t? One for whom faith is important with one for whom it isn’t? People who have trouble trusting or being emotionally vulnerable? People who wear their trauma? People with different world views, values and clashing temperaments? People with no job or home of their own? These people have no history and alcohol, hokey theories about marriage, and sex toys can’t change them into wholesome partners in 8 weeks. Frankly, I applaud many for making the difficult the decision to take the lesson and move on from what seems destined for a toxic,unfulfilling relationship.
I loved Amani & Woody from the start. I pray continuous love, coverage, respect and friendship in their marriage. Blessings to them and safe delivery & healthy baby 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I thought this for a very long time, but after listening to this I am now certain, for me, that this show has absolutely NO INTEGRITY OR REAL SINCERITY THAT WAS EXHIBITED IN THE BEGINNING. I hope that all candidates are told that it is 99% a show for DRAMA, and if they find sincere love for the long term, they are LUCKY. I decided after this last season that I am done watching all future shows, but I will tune in to the recaps to determine if they have returned to any type of integrity. Thanks-so happy you provided this.

I don’t jump to judgment when watching this show for this exact reason. People are so hard on these couples without all of the information. I’m on the fence about watching future seasons, especially with how bad the most recent season was. But yes, Tamara’s recaps are great!

She was crying from the very beginning because she thought he was ugly and soft, too feminine acting and She made up a bull junk excuse like a 4 year age difference to treat him badly after the wedding ceremony!
You just allow all the women on these shows to escape accountability! Even when we see them being a villain during the entire 15 week episode run! If Karen actually was a good woman with loving behavior than the show would have no choice but to show that! But she wasn’t! Karen was a trash bag dumpster person towards miles from the very first episode!!
They showed Karen in a negative light but she was authentic and I hope she continues to thrive. I hope the person for her presents themselves. Love her
I trusted how Karen was careful with Miles. A woman has intuition and gut feelings for a reason, and I could see that Karen had been hurt in life. Life taught her to fully trust her intuition and gut feelings, I respect that, and SHE WAS RIGHT 👏👏👏. Karen, you are amazing and wonderful, keep trusting yourself ❤

I feel bad for Karen. She is clearly broken. It sounds like Miles checked out. We will never really know the truth though. We only see a fraction of their lives.
I really appreciate Amani's honesty about being pregnant again! It's tough mentally and physically having children so close! I'm proud that she and Woody are recognizing that!

I hope that Karen can feel the support that she has from so many of us. Sadly, Miles came with too much baggage and was not ready to be in a committed balanced relationship. You are a lovely woman and should have no problem attracting the right partner.
It’s difficult being in a relationship with a person that deals with depression. Because you care and love this person and it’s hard to know how to be supportive or even provide them with what they need. And I’m sure it’s even more difficult when you’re marrying a stranger.
Sad for Karen and Myles. It was very sweet and clever the way Amani and Woody announced the pregnancy. And I completely respect Amani's honesty about being pregnant. I think more transparency in this regard should be spoken about. It can really give people a safe space to really express how they feel without judgement. ❤❤❤

I’m not surprised that the marriage was ended by him. Even though show portrayed her negatively she seemed to be genuine on decision day and going forward. I’m sad that their marriage ended but I totally believe she will heal for the better.
I always sensed that Miles and Karen were mismatched. I wish MAFS had allowed her to follow through with her truth and not marry Miles. I wish them both the best. I am so happy for Justin and grateful that he found a woman with the heart to see him and help. Woody and Amani are my favs and I am soooo excited about the new addition to their family🥰

That is sad about Karen and Myles. I do get needing some time to process things. She had every right to not announce until she was ready. I also understand Amani. My last child, now in their 20s, was a surprise baby. I love them to pieces, but I didn't need another child. I was already raising 4 and I was overwhelmed as it was. My husband was mad, and said I did it on purpose. I'm like, no, you didn't want to use birth control. You were there as well. I didn't do this alone! He can be such a jerk. That child is now a grown person, and a wonderful person as well. They, as all of our children, are lived beyond measure.

The people have to do the work. So many times they give assistance and guidance and people stay firm in being who they are, not being open to do the work they offer. For example choosing not live in the apartment, not doing the challenges, and not looking past a person looks. They don’t go deep.

When Miles and Woody were chosen so many people judged Woody as being not ready to be married and Miles was ready made for this. So much for those judgements because Woody appears to be doing amazing as a husband. Meanwhile I feel like Miles never gave it 100% and it seems he gave up long before this.

I was one of the ones who totally judged Woody. But now I am seeing twp things. 1. The producers spin a narrative and if you are gullible enpugh you will fall fpr it. That's what males for good tv.
2. I thought Miles wanted to do this and Woody came along for the ride but it was the other way around. Woody signed up and when the producers asked for other candidates he connected them with Miles. That's why Miles was never 100% in it.
Ppl judged based on appearance. Woody wanted marriage and family, Miles wanted to be seen
I really enjoyed these updates. Karen made a lot of good points about her experience. I wish her and Miles the best during this process and moving forward with their lives. I’m glad that Justin received a diagnosis and treatment for his condition. I respect Imani’s honesty. Her and Woody are still my favorite MAFS couple.

I remember on the show Miles was comparing his and Karen's progress with Woody and Amani. He was always saying slick things about Woody's past and Woody not taking relationships seriously. He was lowkey hating on his boy. I never forgot that.

I think Karen and Amani are two very special young women! Karen seems to be learning to be her authentic self and b e able to speak and walk in her truth. Being true to who she is and was created to be. Amani speaks her truth and shared her feelings without hesitation and that is so liberating for a person. There was nothing at all wrong with what she shared about her pregnancy. Her feelings were totally valid and for her she does not need others to validate them. I could feel Karen's hurt and sadness. I wish her healing and happiness. Amani has always been my fave. I like Woody too but Amani just has a realness to her that I relate tool. I love how she was honest about not being excited. It's good to acknowledge how our bodies change to create and sustain life and to give ourselves a break when we are overwhelmed about those changes. Her comment about just needing time to reconnect with just Amani, not Amani the feeder or Amani the vessel for life.... That was deep and I totally resonated with her as my oldest was only 7mo old when we got pregnant with our second. My hubby was ecstatic while I was overwhelmed. Now I'm grateful they were close together and I wouldn't change a thing, but when you first learn you're pregnant again and you aren't trying, it can be a shock. I wish them nothing but the best.
Miles wasn't ready. His friend was ready he went along for the ride. Wish Justin the best. I follow Woody and family. Love those 3.

Thanks for the update. Good for these MAFS alums. Even Karen, because now she can move on with her life and her life's purpose. Sometimes the love we have for others can hold us back. I hope Miles and Karen both get their mental states in a better place than they have been. I'm glad Justin is improving and moving forward. Medical conditions can be a real pain!
I definitely think they need new experts. The current experts seem out of touch a lot of the time.
Yhea i agree, I feel they need new experts, not so old but at least have at 10 to 15 years of successful marriage under their belt, and maybe one older person with at least 20 years of marriage

I wonder what was being said about Miles
I had kids back to back 17 months apart very unexpected it was hard my first was at 40 which was hard but my second at 42 was harder I had just retired from the military and found out my husband was gonna be deployed so I had a toddler and a newborn during the pandemic it was very interesting! Now they are 4 and 3 and best girl friends…it’s hard but take the blessing Amani!
Pregnant @37. An unmarried E-7…pregnant with twins 😮. My BF was stationed overseas. No way I would’ve fallen pregnant again. I did not enjoy the experience.
It’s taken a decade but another woman (Amani) FINALLY validated my experience.

I could tell a difference in Miles during their pandemic videos. She seemed to be more into him. Miles knows how to “present” well for the public but I saw his red flags in the beginning. He seems so emotionally all over the place. While this hurts I think this was the best for Karen.
She had hers too. She also seemed to be emotionally ALL over the place. She bolted at the most minor comment from Miles, and accused him of trying to do something to her. She was just looking goer a reason. I just don't understand WHY she even followed through with the marriage if Miles was such a " bad guy"
I think she might have been responding to the experts wishes for her. I was shocked when she said yes.

I love Amani and Woody. I’m so happy that she was honest about how she felt about being pregnant again and how hard it is to go back to the infant life before being able to connect with yourself again after the first. I’m going through it now.
IT'S HARD TO LOVE PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM MENTAL ILLNESS.
Damn! Really? Most people are walking around daily with some form of depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc, even if undiagnosed or untreated.
I been said all from episode 1 with Justin he need his testosterone tested and people chewed me out on the Facebook groups...glad to know I was right and that he was tested and treated

l feel for her I just tried really hard with someone who I knew from my past who I found out was bipolar and didn't disclose I was like we got this because we love each other IT was exhausting and he became abusive I am glad I left

@@renx5609 its called experience with the disorder and I am not stating it as fact "or putting anything on him" I am not a clinician have some critical thinking skills and learn to address the internalized ableism (look that up if you don't know why I would be referring to ableism) they are the ones who decided to go on a b list reality show when you do that you open yourself up to speculation

Great review! And I agree - new younger experts who know and/or have experienced online dating is needed moving forward. I'm getting tired of the producer's manipulations! It was good catching up on some of the casts from previous seasons. Karen and Miles are killing it with living their truths - love that about Karen!

I went thru the same emotions having three back to back. I appreciate her honesty. Cause I felt guilty at times not being excited about being pregnant again. It’s a huge wear on your body.
