For some reason the preposition "BELOW" is sometimes spelt like the verb "BELLOW" in capital letters on the screen ( 1.56 and again at 3.00 )
Oops... you're right. Will have to sack my video editor. Sorry about that. Well spotted! 👍
Perfect ❤️❤️❤️
Glad you liked it

Thank you for your video. I am watching you from Russia
Thanks for watching
Great lesson! I see these words are a little bit weird so even different teachers have slight differences. BTW, I just got familiar with this channel and will watch more clips!
Thanks! 😃 welcome aboard
Mr Harry, you stated the fine difference between the four prepositions. I want to that below is different from under in the sense that the latter is used vertically below something , whereas the former is used for something under which is not vertically down.
Examples:
There was a lot of snow below the hill.
I have placed a book under the table.
Secondly, we use underneath when something is writtn or engraved under the surface of the thing
Please reply.
With due respect I wish you may please reply on the above points. I am awaiting your reply.

So glad I found this channel! Quick question: is physical proximity a determining factor in choosing between underneath and beneath? For example, "he hear a sound coming from beneath (or underneath) the woodpile." It's for a story I'm working on and the character who hears this is fairly stoic and reserved, so I'm leaning toward beneath as it better applies to his character, though it is from an omniscient pov. Yes, I'm thinking too much about this, but such is writing and editing ;) Any thoughts? thanks! Also - just subscribed!
Thank you. Beneath is correct. In that sense beneath would be better. It is also more poetic
@@LearnEnglishwithHarry Thanks Harry! I went with beneath for pretty much those same reasons. You're channel's me back to my English major days - didn't realize how much I missed it - cheers!
He sat _ the shade of trees? Below or beneath?
Hi! I really like your channel, your videos are super useful and interesting :) Im wondering where is your accent from? :)
Thanks Weronika 🙏 It’s in the middle of the Irish Sea
Good afternoon Harry. I've started to hear people (here in America) say underneath of it instead of underneath it and "hythe" instead of height. I don't know how it has come about? It is not just one person. I've heard at least 7 people on TH-cam saying this. I've never heard these terms before. Should I just leave it alone? Should I bother to correct them? I know if I do, I will get many nasty comments. It's only to help the TH-camr sound more professional. I'm not that good at grammatically correct writing myself but I know I would want the help.
Hi. I can understand your frustration. Particularly underneath of it is obviously a mistake. Hythe is just poor pronunciation. Personally, I’d leave it. That’s about the hythe of it. Haha 😛
@@LearnEnglishwithHarry 😆🤪
Harry, I found a mistake it is below not bellow.
Mr
I will be under the influence of alcohol
I believe that beginners will not understand the explanation. Beginners often struggle with teacher talking time 😢
I appreciate this. But this is an advanced lesson
@@LearnEnglishwithHarry My bad .I thought it was designed for beginners. The most challenging level to teach ESL .You are doing a great job by the way .I do take some of your content to use it as a teaching tool for my students 😊.
Gee, you're supposedly an English teacher but you can't even spell below - how does that work? 🤨 The word "bellow" is pronounced differently and has a completely different meaning - it's a verb denoting the noise that beasts such as cattle make. EDIT: Apologies, apparently it was the video editor. So, my bad. :)
Thank you for your comment. I already apologised about this typo a year ago. My editor made a mistake
@@LearnEnglishwithHarry In that case, my sincere apologies. You should perhaps just pin a note about it to the top of the comments in your pinned post to avoid further nasty comments from other people. Although, you'll probably find that most people are nicer than I am, sorry about that! 🙃
It's obvious that it's a typo.
@@claireabela2142 That depends on whether you're looking at things through the eyes of a trusting innocent or the eyes of a jaundiced cynic...
