The perfect masterclass. Ten minutes to explain the differences among below, beneath, beyond, under and underneath, with pretty clear examples. This will help us to go a step further in our English learning.
THE FACT THAT THERE IS A TEACHER LIKE YOU WHO IS WILLING TO PUT UP WITH STUDENTS LIKE ME , IS TRULY REMARKABLE !!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENDLESS PATIENCE !!!!!!!!!!
I'm an English teacher in Korea. I'd sometimes get confused with those prepositions when teaching. I loved the way you explained it with fun objects! Thanks so much!!!❤
your tips are always above, I admire you have sensitivity of our confusions, and I learn different words like "beneath", I loved ... I look forward to another video. thanks Gideon
And then there is sleeping underneath the stars, too. P.S. I know I pull your leg, every once in a while, but you’re to be commended for making these free educational contents/resources available for the intermediate students of English. 👏🏻👍🏻
Cheers for your efforts and being a helping hand for all English learners here. I would appreciate if you can cover tenses and grammar learning in a series reason being your method of teaching is much better than any course reading book. Respect from India ❤️
Hi Gidion , Thank you so much for helping us in all ways. Wishing you all the best. Please correct this sentence for me by letting me know which sentence is correct. 1/. Early morningS. and late eveningS. ARE. always cold 2/. Early morning and late evening IS. always cold Thanks Gidion. I really appreciate it.
Thanks a lot. Can I ask a question. As a read a lot in different dicionaries, beneath and underneath both haave the meaning that is to hide something?. That"s to say, in your example, i can use either Beneath or Underneath his innocent face,... . Hope to see ya reply soon.
I read the book of Stephen Haukin in French, and yes even I have scientific formation, the book it's a bit beyond me... But I'm a biologist, not a physicist... so it's OK if I understand only the main meaning and not the détails...
Good question: could be either one depending on what you're talking about. If you mean transportation, then one says "I am on the plane" or "on the bus" or "on the ferry." If you are discussing geometry the usage is IN. "Pick any three points in the plane" (plane is a flat surface)

Hello Gideon, is it correct to say: "It's beneath John to act like this" ?
That sounds fine.
There is a word that has almost disappeared--YONDER or OVER YONDER for objects at a considerable distance
Good one! I like using YONDER
In the moovie or show with teanager you heard a lot Under ages, seams more fluently than under 18....

According to Gwynne's grammar the often used "per capita" is not entirely correct as capita is the plural of caput. You don't say "per heads".
