For the sport mode after restart, you dont need to switch to other driving mode and put back in sport, you can just reclicked one time ln the sport button and it works also! Thanks for the review!
Have you tried logging it when driving cold and sending the logs to 034 to revise your map? And improve on their maps on cold starts. I"m considering the 034 tune for my Mk7.5.
I have not yet I am working on that , I’ve been working with another company on a separate tune currently and haven’t been able to reflash 034 yet onto my wife’s car to do so, over all I love the tune but I also am really enjoying the Unitronic software on my 40th anniversary and I know they are having a sale right now !
You’ll have to see the next video for the intercooler ! And as for slipping I did slip the clutch on the high torque tuna after about 5000 ish miles on it.
@@octane_media Did you downgrade to the low torque file? I was told regardless you would cap at 387lbs of torque. Curious because 034 said no matter what file you pick you will be capped at 387lbs and there shouldn't be any slipping....did you ever do a dyno? This concerns me because I don't want to tune until the TCU tune is available if the low torque causes slipping as well...
@@Anonymous-kb2bs I didn’t experience any slipping on the DSG car it’s running the low torque tune . Our manual car we were running the high torque tune until we experienced some slipping then we went back to the low torque tune.
@@octane_media Does the dsg feel similar to the stock ECU, or does it feel more jerky and sluggish after the low torque tune? Everybody keeps saying that it's best with the TCU tune but unfortunately our tcu's are locked and that's not an option right now. I'm going to wait another year and hope the TCU tune is available by then, as mine is a 2024 s with DSG. Do you feel that the car still feels smooth after the tune? Is it smoother or harsher on the transmission after the tune is what I'm asking...been anxious and patiently waiting on that TCU tune. Starting to lose hope 😪
@@Anonymous-kb2bs I wouldn’t lose hope it will get cracked eventually, and I do one hundred percent agree these cars do like trans tunes but I haven’t had any issues running the stage 1 without a TCU tune on it so if that’s what you are worried about I absolutely wouldn’t let that bother you ! It’s had this tune for 37,000 miles on it now.
Just a question if you don't mind. Planning to buy a mk8 gti it was built 12/20 so early 2021 model. it got a stage 1+ (324hp and 462nm) and a dsg stage 2 tune. It had it for around 12k miles now and planning to buy it. Do you recommend buyting a tuned car or?
@@xtoxicxskorpion5848 that all comes down to maintenance and the previous owner , is there anything else done to it ? These cars are pretty reliable over all and do take well to tunes at stage 1 I don’t see much of an issue unless the owner beat the snot out of it 24/7
@@octane_media Just regular maintenance, nothing out of the ordinary. I’ve has only done a Stage 1+ with a DSG Stage 2 tune. It’s hard to know how hard the previous owner drove it, but he traded it in for a Tesla, if that says anything.... He tuned the car at 36,000 miles, and it now has 48,000 miles, exactly a year later.
Yes I have ran both the high torque and low torque files on the car I actually really like my Unitronic tune for daily driving ! I have also reached out to APR to talk to them about their tune to no avail though .
That depends on what you’re looking for , we’ve actually really enjoyed the 034 tunes over all and we are working with them to try and get these hiccups fixed. Their tune feels really aggressive then Unitronics but from a daily driver stand point I love Unitronics tune !

Especially when the weather is cold, if you pull the car from low rpm with full throttle, it gives underboost error at between 5.500-6.200rpm. I hope they will solve it. İt was the the first thing I experienced and it has been more than a week. I hope someone is working on the issue. At least I want to believe that :)
So many use that phrase "Best Bang for the Dollar". That's a NO BRAINER - the tune is everything and everything else is just a support. Perhaps when it is COLD, you be patient by letting the vehicle warm an idle down at start-up, allow the sump temperature to at least reach 180deg, before giving the beans. I would say this is more an "immediacy" problem than a tuning problem.

My stock tune manual mk8 is jerky when it's cold in the low gears. About to be flashed.
I haven’t had the issue since I flash with Unitronic

My 2024 380 keep the mode i was previously. However my 2022 mk8 R does not
That’s interesting I’ve heard that most cars from Mk7 up you’ve had to change the mode every time you get it and start up

Did you try the 91 low torque file? I know that APR and 034 have the best low torque files. APR has a better drivability of them all.

91 octane , unfortunately we don’t have e85 or 93 where I live !
