I have a 2021 gli s not the same car but volkswagen did a really good job on making a fun fast daily car. For my first car the price to performance is really good thanks for the video 👍🏽.
Ya, but there is a cshhh, pause, cshhh sound just before the solid air sound of the intake comes in. It happens when I am accelerating just like at 1:40 when you were turning. Just wondering if that is also the intake
@@mrjkstark Hey there! Yeah, I live in Aubrey, but just north of 380. I’m always around the Aubrey/Frisco/Little Elm/Prosper mix. Work in Dallas. Got my car from Hendricks in Frisco!
Just a question if you don't mind. Planning to buy a mk8 gti it was built 12/20 so early 2021 model. it got a stage 1+ (324hp and 462nm) and a dsg stage 2 tune. It had it for around 12k miles now and planning to buy it. Do you recommend buyting a tuned car or?
@@Slipperystick73 034 tunes give you extra overrun burbles where stock might only get you 1 or 2 pops. Still behaves just like stock though. Burbles stop after 3 or 4 (unless you keep feathering the throttle lol).
@@bmw_for_life8902 Not a bad idea to save up for one. I’ve seen plenty of people say their stock clutches are holding up fine, but you just never know how things are going to go! 👍🏼
Wow, that’s super farty. I could embrace it when winding it out to high rpm, but it’s burping and popping on even gentle shifts-seems way over the top. Is that just a function of the 034 Stage 1 tune? I’d be inclined to look for a “less teenager” one if that’s the case.
The farting on upshifts is just natural DSG behavior. Now for the burbles and pops when downshifting or off throttle, the tune itself adds a few extra compared to just getting one or so while stock. The nice thing about the tune is, I can have the pops completely turned off when set to “custom” driving mode if I prefer 👍🏼
@@rjbaldwin_ I wouldn’t mind a few (I’ve got a Mk8 manual gearbox), but that was out of control. It begs for a slider and I’d dial it back 90%, but not fully off :-).
Fortunately 034 will work with you and can provide a tune w/o the added overrun crackles and keep the factory style pops in place! It can be tailored that way if you request it 🙂
Definitely consider it from time to time. I just don’t want to run straight E85 all the time as my daily. Maybe when 034 gets a flex fuel setup going 🤭
@@andresmattos7541 I can totally understand that mindset. I’m still trying to hang onto my youth I guess and prefer a little added drama to my boring daily commute 😂
