Great video. Assume you have the copyright? I was the Senior Product Planner for the VU program and responsible for the SS Ute being a fill time model. In fact, without this model there would have been no ute program as it didn’t meet the business case criteria.

As stated on your channel mate, I got them from a dealer on the mid north coast who was going to throw out the DVD. Had they thrown it out, there would be no Holden promotional material available on the VU series for people to watch on TH-cam. I stated underneath the video: © Copyright to respectful owners of the film, images & music. Used under fair play use, not for profit. This video is not mine as I've stated and Holden themselves don't have a channel or otherwise I'm sure that their promo videos & ads from decades past would be on there. Without this upload, the DVD iotself would have been lost in a tip somewhere. If you're wondering whether I own or have owned Holdens, yes I do, the current ones in my stable are 2 VY series I S utes, one's a V6 & the other is a V8. One is well kept in original condition & the other is currently being restored.
Everything aside, as you were the Senior Product Planner for the VU program, many thanks goes to you & everyone involved in producing a fantastic series of utes. Everyone from planning, designing, engineering, all the way down to the shop floor deserve acolades. Many friends of mine own VU VY VZ Utes, Crewman & One tonners and they love them. Thank you again for being part of that legacy. I really wish that Holden was still going and so do a lot of others.

That’s pretty cool. What was the business case criteria exactly?
Awesome video, thanks for uploading. I’ve found it difficult or impossible to find Commodore related material and information in the past. From dealership, sales and marketing to maintenance or service info, parts, manufacturing , development and technical material. Mid 1980s to 2005ish production in particular. It’s far easier to find such things for Falcons of the same period for comparison. At best you might find an old forum discussion of some past Holden employee and his recollection lol. You CAN find plenty of contradictory answers searching online, however 😅

@@cpzmelbs it is based on the corporate profit per car, per series (higher the series makes more money). Then a volume forecast over the life of the model delivers a revenue and this is compared to the required investment to deliver the programme.
