Bet those slabs are worth a lot, was a sawyer for 20 years, was a challenge but great fun. Biggest log i cut was 9 feet across. Would like to know what happens to wood and what its made into. Enjoy your videos.
Let me get that well, you said the biggest log you saw was 9 feet across,I just wanted to know if is 9 feet in width or length, because I am wondering to cut down a tree 9feet wide, how did that chainsaw man manage that, first Time hearing a tree all that wide,
I have a few questions. What kind of tree is that? What do you do with the first couple of cuts? Are they just waste? The thicker cuts will they be cut down for 2X2, 4X4'S or 6X6's etc? If not what in the world would you use something so massive for? Just curious. I've always been interested in this kind of stuff. I love how wood looks and the smell of fresh cut lumber. Ok so I'm a little weird.
Used this timber to make lining boards for a colliery lift rope winding drum , the sawdust made my skin become severely inflamed and almost completely closed my eyes , took a long time and powerful drugs to clear it up ! Take great care if you are not used to working with this timber .
I've always wondered when watching your videos. Do the log slides backup a couple of mm before rolling the carriage back to the starting position for a new cut? I never see the blade knock the dust off the freshly cut surface of the logs.

From the lack of metal and the look of the bark, were these trees removed from a fire area? That would explain the dark stains in the center cracks if they were smoke damaged logs.
Big log big cutting. Thanks for another great vid Mr.Sasada STAY SAFE ALL. 😁👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Strangely I found the whole video very restful and relaxing.

Check out some of his links in his descriptions, he has a table showroom and some videos of harvesting trees where he buys them.
Always beautiful 😊👍🏼

きれいな柾目材が取れるんやね。びっくりですわ。
If you listen carefully, you can hear Mr. Sasada's cash register ring. every time one of those porky slabs hits the deck. That stuff looks dense.
Beautiful wood

Beautiful! Nicer than maple
It would be nice to see what kind of fine wood products are made once this incredible wood is sawn up at this mill.

Looks like only a handful of good slabs out of it.
At 21.54 easier than sending it through a planer.
Perfect joob good work

Kinda looks like mulberry. Does it change color after oxidation or exposure to elements? Looks like it might. A nice fatty nonetheless.

*- Lots of wood getting cut ! ! !*
Why do you run the log so far passed the blade before you move it out to cut again
That african wood is always pretty.
Even though its lazy and cant be trusted.
Beautiful, your wood is Beautiful! Old growth. Is it an eucalyptus?

Where are you? What wood you sawing?
👍👍👍
If TH-cam ran this sawmill there would be so many fatal accidents due to the useless ads and announcements distracting the workers.
You said it Mad Dog. It costs about £13 a month for the pleasure of not seeing the STOOPID adverts. Best regards. 🙃

What will the wood be used for?
More systematic than japanese
