Regardless of where this mill is, i am surprised to see just two people operating it.
The other thing that took me by surprise is the different woods they manage to get their hands on.
I have a ready library of timeds and so far they have cut up four trees i have never seen or heard of, and they are not in the books.
I have to admit that its one of those mills that i would love to visit for a day, they make the job look easy, when one only has to look at the slabs thet take off, they must be a good six to eight inches thick, and goodness knows what length, a good video, well worth watching.

A long time ago I was a sawmill engineer ,so I always find it fascinating to see the same methods of breaking down large logs in different countries. Where I worked we were cutting logs bigger than that but were almost 1000 years old .The timber was worth an absolute fortune with no price restrictions on it . We ran a twin blade head rig before changing to a 9' band saw. See the band saw here doesn't have cooling water.

Mesmerizing to watch, but strange that they use a vertical saw instead of a horizontal one. With a big board, the weight of the part already cut makes the blade seize up, no?

They are very experienced with that saw mill, but at times I was a little nervous on their behalf, a slip or a trip could be disastrous.

Can those involved who video this mill in action please include where abouts it is as i have not seen anything that gives the game away, basically because i am not sure about the language used in the video.
