Mr Gabriel i don't know who gave u the wrong information about Bahrain 😇 i don't think it was a local national Bahraini 🤔
U can live with who ever u like girl friend or boy friend which ever suits u & nobody wl question u!
U can wear shorts anywhere u like!
Its very open free country & it has the best social life in GCC.
In other GCC wn going out u hardly can meet real locals of the country to mingle with but in Bahrain locals r everywhere socialising & they r very easy goings😀
Other GCC countries u mostly meet expats not locals & hardly get to know the the real people of that country but Bahraini r very hospitable welcome people so its easy to get friends!👍 enjoy ur stay 🇧🇭🍺

Good to know. Maybe those were old rules that I came across online or official rules that aren't enforced.

      @marcorasool2995 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

@@GabrielTravelerVideos most official rules shown online by foreign media r not true or only mentioned in black/white but its not applied in reality.
Note: Bahrain 1st state in the GCC which had/hv airport university women rights bars clubs mix accommodation & most European were living working in Bahrain during the country boom period but as u mentioned our natural resources got weak & economy too
Otherwise Bahraini people highly educated & very friendly hospitable accommodating to others.
I was born 1963 & seen lived it all.
By the way 1st international airport & airline in GCC were here *Gulf Air*
If u need further information plz don't hesitate & i now live in Dubai 😀

Bahrain, my mother country has changed so much since I left in 1968 and revisited it in 1970. The Souq is so modernized now... it used to be dark, dirty and so crowded but a fun place... even though there were many cars around, you would still see many pedestrians. So glad you mentioned Bab al Bahrain... a very iconic landmark. I'm delighted that Bahrain took an interest in preserving the Portugees Fort and introducing its history in a museum format. Bahrain was Dilmun and yes... I grew up calling it the Arabian Gulf 🇧🇭 🇺🇸

This reminds me of the time I used to live in Saudi Arabia, My dad lived in Riyadh for 20 years and not a single time he rode a taxi with a local Saudi driver! Oh and you want to sell more oil and cars just copy paste the American city design where a lot of the infrastructure is designed for cars rather than pedestrians. Make it hard for people to interact and get around let alone being healthy. That being said, the people of Bahrain and the Arab world in general are very hospitable and welcoming to their guests, no matter where you from, and that's something I will always love about the gulf and Arab countries in general.

BTW shorts ARE allowed. I was a Saudi resident for 6 years and have visited Bahrain many times. Occasionally transiting through the airport there, wearing shorts. 👍 Saudi on the other hand... Great video. Fantastic memories. A place I'll never be able to go to again after covid (never having that vaccine) killed all my chances of travel and my overseas career.

Arabian gulf is the current name for it whether you like it or not. All the surrounding tribes including the Sunni side of Iran are Arabs so this is the logic name. You think we are going to call Persian Gulf while it is next to Arab Areas. Doesn’t make any sense and Persian name was only enforced on Arabs when Persia was powerful empire but we ceased their power during the Islamic empire at that time and decided to rename it. However, it is up to the Iranians to call it by their name but you have no right to call it the same when you are in Arab land.

Fantastic laws. Camera phones have become a bane. No one should be photographed or videoed without their permission. Good, people won't dare dress indecently. Good laws. The video is very informative, Ty. Good to see not too many people around inspite of its small size. India is all over. India has very good relations with gulf nations. Indians literally built these modern cities. Now Dubai has built a beautiful huge temple owing to the large Indian Hindu diaspora there. Does Bahrain also have a temple? Like their national carrier Gulf Air. Will definately visit this beautiful place in the future.

Brings back nostalgia from when I traveled to Qatar (which I just might do again for the world cup), Oman and the UAE! Always preferred narrow street old towns to modern glass tower structures, although it's all quite spectacular in these countries.
Not to mention the number of times I had a stopover at the Doha and Dubai airports while traveling farther east.
This is the usual route from Europe to South and Central Asia, however it'd be cool if you added some more countries under your belt and ventured from here to Africa...Kenya, Madagascar, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Mozambique...etc.
Wherever you're going next, or likely already are there tho, it's gonna be fascinating for sure!
    Can't wait. 👍
