    Would you test these irons and what would you do with the £500 you save???

    Thank you for the review. Just bought them for about 280 pounds 5-Pw. 47 pounds an iron is insane. Gapped them together with my hybrids and wedges. Looking forward to them winter getting them set in my set for the next summer :)

    I have been playing the Halo irons for the past year, but I just don't have much confidence in them. I think it's time to upgrade to a not so wide clubhead, so I ordered these. I love Cleveland clubs and I hope these suit me better. New sub!

      Hi JP1970! Thanks for watching video and for subscribing! I hope you really enjoy the Launcher XL irons! If it's the thickness of the sole that's putting you off the Halo I think you'll definitely see an improvement with these! Would love to hear how you get on! All the best!

    I bought a set of these in November. Love them. I'm a 9 handicap but the winter course conditions a where I live make scoring well extremely difficult. Can't wait to hit these with grass growing and warmer temps. They are well names as the ball launches beautifully off the face high and straight.

      @weekendtourpro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Frank! Thanks for watching my video and your comment! That sounds fantastic, no wonder you can’t wait to hit them in warmer temps! Totally agree about the name, so easy to launch! I think the best thing about us golfers is we are starting to realise playing equipment that makes the game easier is more fun than equipment that looks exactly like a pro! All the best, Luke!

    7 handicap here (hoping to get down to a 4-5 this season coming up). Been using these irons for 8 months or so since they were such a good bargain and I was on a budget (I saved probably like $500 or more). These are incredibly forgiving, especially on toe strikes since the face is a bit longer. The top line is a bit thicker but it isn't overwhelming, its still a more narrow top line then most game improvement and super game improvement irons. At address I don't really get those "chunky game improvement iron" feels. I can shape shots reasonably well with these, they launch high, solid ball speeds. Incredible value with these irons.

      Hi Jesse R thanks for the really informative comment and for watching the video! Great to hear the experience you have had with these irons and really cool to hear such positive feedback from a single figure handicap golfer! The value for money on these irons is INSANE! Good luck getting down to 4-5 this season! Thanks, Luke!

    I am a struggling 14. I have been playing the Wilson LP and decided to 'test drive' some new irons. I ran the gauntlet with a fitting pro for over 2 hours. I promptly ordered the Launchers. They will arrive in a day or three.Good review. Liked and subscribed.

      Update - really pleased with these my height has increased immensely, I am a beginner and find these more forgiving than my 20 plus year old Mizuno clubs , I got a fantastic deal on Black Friday 😊

    Cleveland is by far the most underrated club. Not sure why it gets so overlooked

      Hi Jamie! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment! I’m not sure why that’s the case either? I can only assume the marketing sells for the big brands!? But they are a brilliant price point and a really credible option for people who choose based on data and not what their favourite PGA Tour player is using! All the best! 👍🏼

    Wish they would have made them blend better with the looks of the cbx wedges. Kinda liked the looks of the uhx a little better. But I do like the looks of this at address

      Hi TP 03! Thanks for watching the video and for the comment! I think that’s a fair comment. I’ve only had the 7 iron in my hand but from pictures etc. I totally get your point that the change might be a bit more drastic than other irons out there! All the best, Luke

    What software are you using on your ipad?

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! Thanks for watching! It’s called ‘TrackMan’ and is the TrackMan studio app for the iPad version! They’ve got a few apps and this is the oldest one but it’s the best in terms of features! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼

    How would the launcher compare against the TM stealth?

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Peter! It was quite a while ago that I tested both sets of irons however I’ve just gone back and had a look at the TrackMan data for you. The caveat I’d give is both reviews were filmed 7 months apart so as a handicap golfer I’m the biggest variable here but my key numbers are below. Worth noting my clubhead speed was 77.4/77.8mph so near identical on both days, Cleveland numbers are first and Stealth second:
      Ball Speed: 104.3 / 110.1mph
      Carry: 141.6 / 150.9yards
      Spin: 5,796 / 4,452rpm
      Launch: 19.0 / 15.4 degrees
      Peak height: 72.2 / 63.2 feet
      Land Angle: 43.0 / 37.5 degrees
      The static loft on the 7 irons is one degree stronger with the Stealth but my results showed a faster ball speed, flatter ball flight with less spin but more distance vs. A higher ball flight with more spin, control and stopping power on the green but sacrificing carry distance with the Cleveland.
      So I think it will depend what type of golfer you are as to which may suit you better. Based on my results if you need more distance and are willing to have a little less control then I’d go Stealth but if you are good for distance and want a bit more spin and control then the Cleveland’s could be a great option. I remember being REALLY impressed with the value for money from the Cleveland’s.
      I hope that helps Peter! Thanks for giving my channel a watch! All the best! 👍🏼

    I almost bought these after having the halos (didn’t love them) but went with Dick’s Sporting Goods house brand Tommy Armour 845 Max instead. It was close tho and it came down to top line and blade length (both too much with the Clevelands). Good vid!

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kelly! Thanks for watching and for your comment! Living in the UK I haven’t seen the own brand irons from Dick’s. How are you finding them? I definitely understand your points on both sets of Cleveland’s… people will either love or hate the Halo’s and I also understand that chunky top line isn’t for lots of people! Keep enjoying your golf! Thanks, Luke

    Great video. My swing speed is similar to yours. Would you recommend graphite shafts for swing speeds in 75-80mph?

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Rex! Thanks for watching my video and for your kind comment! Whenever I’ve been fitting for irons, I’ve never been recommended graphite shafts at my swing speed (c.78mph with a 7 iron) however the Halo XL Launcher come with graphite shafts as standard. I think that’s due to the weight of the iron head and trying to balance that out and deliver a sensible swing weight for average swing speed players (but I could be wrong). If I was to buy these irons, I would go graphite for sure as they worked great in my hands. Hope that helps! 👍🏼
