Thank you, Sarah for the awesome Father's Day gift! Let me know what you think of the new angles or if you have any questions! I really enjoy reading and responding to every one! 😁
Thanks! At this point, I can only tell you NOT to get a shotgun mount for an UTV, like this: amzn.to/430UPmR It looked like it might work, but it's not ideal 😅
Also a pilot and a hockey player! On my men's league team, we have 2 pilots... and one moved away LOL. I also have "Bar Down Wheels UP" ready for when I can quit my day job 😄
Thanks so much! Honestly, the 360 video is one of the most time consuming parts of my editing. I use insta360 studio on PC to edit and export the 360 vids. Then I manually line them up over my timeline (in Davinci Resolve). I appreciate that someone could realize the amount of work that is!
@@wheelsupbardown also thanks for your Devinci video. I hope that it supports syncing with the GPS track in MP4 file since my GoPro outside the airplane doesn’t have the same sound in the cockpit.
What settings do you use to stop outside view from inside cockpit from being too bright. I can film inside ok but outside is way too bright. Any help appreciated.
In this video, I had gopros inside shooting out, and I pretty much just use automatic (except exposure down a notch and sharpness all the way down) with a ND filter on it to slow the shutter speed. As for the Insta360, I just shoot auto with the EV at -0.5. Hope that helps!
Is this configuration stock? I usually fly the tail on mine during take off. That little 4 cylinder boxer only puts out 85 horses. With the tail on the ground, I wouldn't be off the ground until 1/2 way down the runway.
This is on 6.00x6 mains without the extenders and a maule tailwheel. If you have extenders or a 3200 on the tail, it could be lowering your AOA on the ground. This is a c85,too. If I'm heavy, it needs some speed though.
I see how you could think that would apply listening to it again, but what I actually said was "I hadn't flown in like 5 months, so..." referencing the video here: th-cam.com/video/tfAZWkIfN_Q/w-d-xo.html This video was about a week later. It's all in my logbook, but thanks for looking out! I hope you enjoy the videos!
On this video I used this carbon fiber boom: amzn.to/3CTCdKY I taped it to the wing and lift struts using friction tape the same way flying wires are taped on old biplanes. The boom is too flexible, IMHO so I'm looking for a little more robust one, and I'll definitely put out a video when I do! Plus, I want a little more permanent solution than friction tape 😉

Great present! Kudos to Sarah! Looking forward to what you do for a mount.

Camera survived! Plenty users complained about poor quality Insta360 selfie stick! Nice footage, anyway! Well done job!
Thanks! I still think I need a better selfie stick than the one I'm using though.
As a pilot and hockey player, I LOVE your channel name. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Cool video, love the 360 usage. Just got one as well, trying to figure it out, thx for sharing!
Thanks! I've had one on my Amazon wishlist since the X2 came out, so I was stoked to get that for Father's Day! Better than a tie! 😂
Amazing video! How did you sync the Insta360 video with the rest of your GoPro Cam when you edited the video?

Thanks again! I really made that video because I couldn't find it when I was looking. I haven't tried with GPS track, but let me know if it works!

Might look at editing 1:05 in light of 14 CFR 61.57.

My apologies, misunderstood.@@wheelsupbardown
@@scottbyrd3662 No worries, when I watched it back, it wasn't very obvious!
