Just want to give you props for taking the time to list all the time stamp breakdowns for different points in the review. So convenient! Nicely done, sir!
Thank you very much, Tom! I've been doing that for all of my new videos. It takes a lot of time and effort to edit, so I might as well capture timestamps. As you probably know, I also list all of the specs back at the site, and try to be very organized and consistent about it ;)
First of all, Good to see you C, stay healthy. Secondly, iGo has come a long way with this one. I'm making quick comparisons in price to others though.
Yo Glenn! I've been stuck inside due to smoke recently, but was super excited to get this review finished and posted. Glad you enjoyed it :D how are things in your neck of the woods?
Great review; as are all of yours. I have another candidate for the Best Affordable Road e-Bike and I'd love to see you do a review on it as well. The Ribble Endurance SL e. And while not quite as 'affordable', still a great deal for a 'custom-build' road e-bike! Thanks and keep up the great work! radio
Special beautiful e-bike, great price also. I wish I had mechanical disk brakes on my e-bike(s). I can work on mechanical brakes my self, with oil I have to let it do.
That's a good point, and I was told that these are actually mechanically actuated hydraulic disc, so it's the best of both worlds! You can see this with the pistons... dual piston setup but the wire still actuates the pistons. It's new to me so I was a little confused when researching the specs and didn't explain it very well here.
Do the brakes lever have Tripwire (a Motor power Cutoff system)? Sad it does not come with a $100 the front fork a Carbon Fiber unit to reduce the pavement vibrations? Level 1 range?
@@ElectricBikeReview We get most brands of E-bikes but American companies don't or won't ship to Australia . We get European and Chinese E-bikes under another name sometimes but same same :-)
One thing I don’t like about this bike is the fact that the cable routing coming out of the frame on top of the fork are too stiff and apply to much pressure/friction into the frame and the paint job gets all scratched after a couple of rides. IGO should have provided some protection where the cable touches the frame. It’s totally disappointing that I don’t have even 300kms on the bike and the front is already scratched by the cables
Howdy! It feels very light and balanced to me. The acceleration is satisfying, and aside from motor noise I really enjoyed this ebike. It was more comfortable than I expected too.
Hate to take away from this beautiful bike review. But I would love to see you review a super73 s2. Mine is coming in a couple weeks and i would love your input. If you get the chance and can find one we are waiting in suspense ;)
That would be my preference too, a bit more stability and comfort straight away. It actually felt pretty good to me as is, with the 32c tires, and I like that they're puncture resistant and reflective.
I respectfully disagree with you. These machines link art with science; making the story of each bicycle a celebration. For brevity, there's always reading his write-ups ;)
Yeah, I wanted to review that bike and reached out to them... but apparently they might tweak it a bit and had a limited run so we didn't move forward. That bike does not have drop bars, and theres a big difference in how a cadence sensor performs vs. torque. Nice that it's cheaper though :) www.biktrix.com/pages/swift-lite-details
@@ElectricBikeReview hopefully they get one out to you,I would love to see how it stacks up against the IGO! Drop bars and a torque sensor don't make up the $1200 price difference alone? Should be a huge difference in performance?
Sure, I have clear lenses too and often go without glasses, but it was sunny yesterday when I shot this. Will you please help me to understand why you prefer to see my eyes?
The eyes are the only part of our brain that does not lie. Sunglasses are called shades for a reason. Shady shifty eyed people who are up to now good wear sunglasses. Jack Nicholson stated,”You know I’ve done something wrong but you can’t pin it on me me.” Sunglasses are really not that good for our overall health. Sunglasses glasses are a recent invention suckering millions of people to make corporations very rich. I’m autistic. I don’t think the same as everyone. Always liked your reviews. Always will like your reviews.
Your mumbo=jumbo about 250 watts- 450 watts nominal is Battery Drain specification. To desribe the Motor 's maximum capability in power to move the bike WE USE NEWTON/METERS or FOOT POUNDS. That way we can compare the maximum Torque between bikes of different make. Manufacturers use the Battery Drain in 250, 350, 450, 500, 750 or 1000 or More. That makes it Impossible to Compare. And YOU, little man, are on the "Watts" merry-go-round with most of the other sales people. Talk Torque to compare e-bike Motors.
@@84imreplica Exactly and also important is where does the manufacturer measure the torque from? For example bikes with centre mount motors like bosch motors quote the motor torque at the motor whereas rear hub bikes quote the torque at the rear wheel where it counts. a centre mount motor loses torque at every point in the dive train and even getting it back to the rear wheel and more if using a belt drive instead of a chain because the belts have considerably more stretch than a chain. What really counts for an e-bike is how much torque is available at the rear wheel not how much torque a motor can waste getting it there.
I may be a little man, but watts it to you! Joking and puns aside, since I don't have the tools necessary to measure and validate watts, torque etc. I simply report what the companies say and supplement with my own observations and footage. It's not the best I could do, but it's what I'm willing to do because it allows me to cover more bikes. I leave the comments as open as possible so others can chime in, even if they're insulting about it :)
@@ElectricBikeReview Court, I hope you can ignore jerks like dehoe disc. There is absolutely no need to be insulting. I enjoy your reviews very much and always glad to see a new one.
@@ElectricBikeReview I am a little man who knows you spread misleading information by making the "watts" meaningless and worthless to accurately describe the equipment that you are so passionate about Sometimes you throw in a Torque figure as an aside, when it is critical in knowing that firgure on all the bikes, allowing as true comparison. Great review, thank you. Nobody can do what you do. That's the type of discrete eBike my son might be convinced to ride. Nice display.
Big up bruda Court !! Still doin the best in the game !! Super cool bike!!
Dope review. Liked the third person view part, maybe you could show the stand over height too?
Good point, I do measure and list all of that back at the site, but showing it from the side on camera could be useful. Thanks JFK!
the brakes are hybrid brakes just a heads up. there hydraulic but cable activated due to this being a drop down bar type road bike
You're totally correct about the brakes. I updated the writeup and just wasn't familiar with this tech, thanks for your help jaylord55!

Thank you for sharing your hobby and passion with us. Can you do a Arrow 10 electric bike review.
Hi - what size frame would you recommend for a 5'8" rider? I assume the 19" (S), but hard to judge without trying the bike. Thanks!
Nice video! Could you maybe do a review on the connected latt ebike?
Of all e-bikes you have reviewed, which one takes off from the start with only the throttle, not using PAS.
Do the brakes lever have Tripwire (a Motor power Cutoff system)? Sad it does not come with a $100 the front fork a Carbon Fiber unit to reduce the pavement vibrations? Level 1 range?
Yes i like this bike , here in Australia we're only allowed to have 250watt ,36v and no throttle so suits us .
Sounds perfect! Does iGO sell or ship there? I know you guys have some other brands, like Dillenger kits and stuff.

I wish they still had this colour, but it seems like they went to a cream colour with gravel tires
What camera did you use? its soo clear
Hey! I use the GoPro Hero 8 and shoot with image stabilization on. There are different modes, I'm not using wide mode for speaking, just standard :)

How heavy/light does the bike feel when not assisted? A 40 lb non-electric bike is pretty heavy by today’s standards.
While that’s true, a 40 pound ELECTRIC bike - which this is - is very much on the light side by today’s standards.
Howdy! It feels very light and balanced to me. The acceleration is satisfying, and aside from motor noise I really enjoyed this ebike. It was more comfortable than I expected too.
