6. What's the aftermath of the battle of Soden hill ? Nilfgaardian army will retreat and they will fight Nordlings years after
7. Will Triss have a bigger role in the story ? Yes
8. What's the nature of Ciri's power ? Elder Blood
9. What happened to Yennefer after the battle ? She's exhausted but alive
10. What was Geralt's last wish ? To always be with Yennefer
I got one question - it is said that the Mutants(witcher), witches, they were created by someone...who created them intentionally?

Mohit Jain Mages were responsible for creating the first Witcher’s and fine tuned the process with time. Eventually Witcher’s branched out into different schools with different teachings and different methods of creating Witchers.
I really hope all of these answer will be true, bcs this is the story in the books, I hope they never change an 'important' part of story.
I was thinking the same exact thing! All these questions and many more can be answered if you read the books. I hope they don’t stray too far from the books! The ONLY bad thing about the books is the fact there aren’t more!

I actually plan to read the books after finishing the show lol. I watched the show coz 1. recognition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and 2. Henry Cavill as Geralt XD (big fan of him after his roles in BvS, Mission Impossible: Fallout etc). I understood that the show was based on the books and not the games and prepared myself to get confused to which I definitely did halfway through the series. Currently on Episode 5 and wow this show's amazing :D

Simple answers to those "questions" are - go read the books, you will manage that certainly before the second season drops. And maybe even play all three games.
i understand that, but to those that never read the books nor played the games are excited for the answers that'll soon come from the show.
Why the hell should I have to read the books to understand the show? Honestly was just bad writing. Shouldn't have to use a guide to have a clue as to what's going on. That's the storytellers job

The non-linear timeline kind of irritated me at first but when I realized what they were doing I got over it. I can’t wait for season two.

There was a bathtub scene in "Shard of ice" story in the books. That is yet to come.
Those 2 bathtub scenes were actually kind of underwhelming. I didn’t get the hype, but then I only read the books and didn’t play the video games. The scenes in the books were pretty minor. I figured, they’d be left out of the show... but the production decided to keep the bathtub scenes and cut other, more interesting scenes/story bits, instead.
No, Yennefer cannot have children ever again. This is COMMON KNOWLEDGE!
What upsets me most is how she blames that on the magic society. It was literally a forbidden thing to do.
Visenna mother of Geralt is a Sorceress who has obviously been through the mage transformation. She still gave birth to Geralt.
@@ajames718 I don't think she did that procedure. It wasn't a standard thing to do in order to become a mage. She didn't have her womb removed because it wasn't something mages needed to do
@@chmchn Would a sorceress age if they don't have the procedure? Visenna hadn't aged in Geralt's dream and that's why I assumed she had been through the procedure. I do know there is not a lot of info on the topic and still remains a mystery.
@@ajames718 that procedure isn't the reason she couldn't age. It was something that was taboo even in the order. The person who did it literally warned her against doing it and told her he'd get in trouble if he did. Furthermore, there are alot of ageless male magicians. I don't think that ceremony would apply. There's something else keeping them ageless. She just wanted to be beautiful and paid the price for it WILLINGLY.

Never been really interested in what Netflix has been bringing the past couple years.....HOWEVER, I got on last week to look for a movie, and ended up bingwatching the whole Season 1 on the Witcher because Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia was HOT!!!

Gerlat takes Ciri to Caer Morhen, ancient keep of the Witchers, and starts trainign her (although without mutagenic potions involved)
Then Yennefer arrives and starts Ciri mage's training.
After setback at Sodden Hill, Nilfgaard comes back with another army next year or so.
They use elves and other demi-humans as fifth column, guerillas called "Squirrels"
Nilfgaard manages to smash northern kingdoms in brilliant blitzkrieg, and establishes allied kingdom of elves in Dol Blathanna, with humans being displaced this time.
Humans and elves fight each other in brutal, barbaric ethnic cleansing warfare.
Vilgefortz will turn traitor - in attempt to get Ciri for his own goals, which involve some very bad things happening to her... and major magic battle erupts at Academy when Ciri gets introduced to assorted mages by Yennefer. Squirrel commando and Cahir sneak into the scene and try to kidnap her for Emperor of Nilfgaard. Geralt foils their plans but gets mauled by Vilgefortz, Triss teleports him to safety in Brokilon. Ciri flees thru wild portal in Tor Lara, ending up as outlaw in Nilfgaardian equivalent of Texas.
Much more follows later, but I doubt they will pack anything more into next season, and maybe even not all of this.
I wonder if the show will have Triss send him to Brokilon since they omitted the whole Geralt meeting Ciri in Brokilon from the shows storyline.

@@BeautyIsJustAMask Well, Geralt needed the healing powers of the waters of Brokilon to save his life after Vilgefortz nearly killed him, so hopefully, we'll get to see him there.
Hopefully they will adapt some of the short stories they missed, like 'The Grain of Truth'
They've already confirmed that Grain of Truth will be in S2, albeit Ciri will be coming along as well. Might even be the pilot episode.
James Kamminga I'd heard that and that the showrunner liked to story, makes sense as it could be on the way to Kaer Morhen. It's Also a good introduction to vampires as Regis presumably won't be introduced for a while
How come Jaskier is not aging, 10 years minimum between the feast where he met Ciri’s parents to the moment he left Geralt and he is still having the same appearance. Plz let me know if I missed something or i got it wrong

It’s to do with portals leading to different universes so many creatures got put in different universes while ciris power is to open those portals at the end of the book she ends up living in Camelot

All the rest are future season spoilers although I don't know if they'll explain the conjuction better since they hardly explained witcher signs for anyone new to the franchise and show Geralt seemed to forget he has quen and igni lol

1) aard- a sort of force push
2) yrden- a magic trap
3) axii- mind manipulation
4) quen- magic shield
5) igni- shoot fire from your hands

I'm an old school table-top RPGer (D&D, and assorted 'verses using GURPS (anyone remember the _Vampire: The Maquerade_ craze way back when?). Yet I never got into video gaming, so I've never wanted to play the Witcher games. But.. but ..I absolutely *love* to watch the cinematic compilations that can be found in many channels. So, for anyone who is not a gamer, I would heartily recommend not only reading the books, but also checking out the cinematics from the Witcher. They tell a riveting and complex story! And, they will really help with getting more familiar with this 'verse.
1 thing you guys left out: How did Ciri know about Yennefer and what was the meaning of the vision she had???....

Theres a continuation of Geralt wish in the game and I find it kind of nice, since its somehow brings closure to both of them ;)

If you paid attention when yennifer was first learning how to control choas making the rock levitate one of the students made it levitate but soon after her hand shrivels up into dead flesh...in other words every action has a reaction

this video is pointless. this is a MASSIVE story with many elements and characters and this show has sooo much to cover, they can’t do that in just eight episodes. the first season gave us exactly how much information we needed to understand what was happening but you need to be patient. this is merely setting everything up
Yeah, the first season really needed to be 13 or so episodes. It feels like it's just setting up the world at this stage, and even that isn't fully complete.
Not a criticism really, just looking forward to it being able to go in deeper with season 2 😊
I think Geralt's final wish was 'for Yennifer to find happiness'. Fate then decided that the best way for this to happen was for her to be led to Geralt & Ciri. Seems fairly self explanatory to me.

Geralt last geene wish was answered in first season - he wish that to be close to Yenefer or something like that. Yen was pointing this to him and blamed this wish to influences their feelings to eachother.
What I want to know what happened or happens to the princess that was a striga once she was turned human
I think it will go on and off with following her growth as Foltest and Geralt form a sort of friendship
She became a physically normal teenager with mind of a little girl. The necklace, or rather the stone (still not sure, don't remember well) that Geralt gave to Foltest was in order to prevent random bloodsheds during her period, ekhem, the residues of the curse that could happen sometimes. Without mentioned item she definietly wouldn't become vegan.
Just read the story, it's really short.

Biggest question is will the wild hunt have an appearance in season 2? I honestly thought they would since if I remeber well Eist said to Calanthe in the episode one that he had seen the "Wraiths of Mörhogg over the channel this morning", I can't remeber after that what he said but the wraiths of Mörhogg is basically the wild hunt so I expected them to play at least some role this season
I've never read the books or played the games, but my biggest ? was if Geralt's mother is a mage, how did she have a son? Either she didn't undergo the same "procedure" as Yennefer and other mages, or there's more to the story. *(No spoilers, please)* I hope this isn't overlooked.

I think that happened to yenefer, then again she didn't conjure the fire from nothing, she took it from the burning castle and then redirected it.

Yennefer was blinded in Battle of Sodden Hill in the books. Triss lost all her hair.
Both were healed but this is how Triss became The 14th From The Hill - as 13 sorceresses died in the battle and Triss was also presumed dead.
I suppose Yennefer will prove to Geralt how much of a bitch she really is in season 2 - then Geralt will learn that Triss is still alive and seek comfort in her arms.
After watching this I want a series on God of War too.....

In Witcher 3 wild hunt it was some kind of interpration of this wish the author of books never told us what was geralt's last wish but it was probably something similar to this wish from game
Haven't you watched the last episode? Yeniffer said, that she figured out, that he wished to not lose her ever again. That's why they keep meeting in some mystical way again and again.
THIS infos are surely interesting if you don't play The Witcher 3 in the first place... now the game feels like spoilers, in a good way though, the lore is so deep that you can't just understand the series altogether

It happens in the books and she is one of the biggest 'minor' characters in the novels.
The biggest question in each of these episodes and probably future episodes is "Is this taking place in the past, present as we know it, or some sort of weird future?"
I hope they wont make Triss a main character, she was always a background character in the books, she was never meant to be a main.
She was one of the biggest minor characters in the books, even had several chapters dedicated mostly to her.
One important question miss, who actually Duny is? He is the one who makes the war in witcher world to begin with.

the look of the characters in the games are not even accurate anyway, and they made Yennefer more beautiful in the games than she actually was in the books.

nah she's very much alive and will be back next season, she's one of the most important characters in the story. I think she probably portalled to another place after the battle, I have no doubt Geralt will try to find her next season
