Hi, I slept on my back for 6hrs, after I saw this video yesterday. It made a lot of sense and I was ready for the part of my physical health.
I have been practicing Qi Gong method for the past 2 months to loosen the body up and i am more flexible.
I slept for 6hrs on the back, without any props. I felt some tension in parts of the body, and when I woke up, i felt less kinks and more re-aligned. I slept really well-I have Spring allergies and I find that my nose dries out in the night. And I have jaw issues, I concluded that the jaw problems I have been experiencing for a time. Was because of lying on the side. I woke up my nostrils was normal and my jaw was perfectly fine.
Yes, this will be my new way of sleeping.
    Cheers to all.

@@nousinmotui think he means that a more comfortable sleeping position for the legs is not perfectly straight but slightly angled, e.g. by putting a small pillow between your knees and the mattress.

Medically speaking left side sleeping is best. Also it is important to go through all the sleep cycles including REM.
Sleeping on the back can be difficult and dangerous for obese or overweight people with obstructive sleep apnea

This video was edited and sadhguru's words were put of context
For example only a few peaple can only sleep 4 hours a day and thats because those peaple are yogis
So for me and you that pillow under the leg is needed. Definitely for me because of my back problem

There was a time when I was regularly sleeping on my back. I was also doing breathwork and meditation regularly (morning and night).
I was able to program myself to wake up right before my alarm every morning. I felt great most days. My life was improving exponentially. I was also eating a clean vegan diet.
My health was amazing. My mind was clear. My eyesight improved (it wasn't bad, but I noticed being able to read signs at farther distances). I had alopecia (bald spots on my head) that went away, and my hair was more lustrous than ever before. Even the few grey hairs I had went away.
All of this was merely a result of eating well and practicing meditation. Nothing special. No doctors. No medications. I was only using natural products on my body and hair and only ate natural foods without chemical additives. I also stopped using microwaves. My creativity was also flowing well.
I foolishly stopped much of these practices after 4 years of disciplined, relaxing work. I'm still healthy, but there are noticeable differences, such as grey hairs reappearing. I'm getting back to it, though. I recommend it. It's not expensive, and after 1-3 months, it's easy to keep it up. The hardest part was being in the grocery store for 2 hours reading ingredients, but that only lasts a month or so because you know what to buy or not buy after you do it a few times.
Sleep, diet, fasting, and exercise are crucial for good health. Relaxing the mind and body through meditation and breathing exercises is also necessary. Good luck to everyone on their journey.

What I think is, Eating hungry is the way to sleep dreamlessly, the brain doesn't automatically drains the stored energy because it knows that already the body needs more, But when sleeping after heavy meal, without given time for digestion, there is now additional energy in the system, which the brain can use without our intent, so now while sleeping some energy is used to make dreams whatever they are, and I think its because Our brain refreshes itself to be used even without our control, so that it can be used all the time.. But we don't need this, so Sleep in hunger and enjoy

I never ever remember my dreams. I used to when I was young and when I went thru the trauma of my ex-husband and for two years after. When I became sick (for the last 6 years), which I had battled thyroid cancer and I am almost in remission with crohns and my iron levels are coming up and the skeletal arthritis is much more manageable, I have only had 3 or 4 dreams I can recall. I have gained better health through the meditative practices of the East as well as the yogic practices. I am Jewish and I am in Judaism, but I practice the eastern teachings as a lifestyle.

When you sleep on your back as your go to, you have a spine and neck alignment. Meaning if you do it, your body will thank you by not developing kinks and the narrowing of crucial circulation of spinal nerves that could lead to very difficult health problems with the brain. Years of sleeping with your neck in the wrong position can be very dangerous in your later years and nobody wants that. 🙏🏽

Reality is the world will exist without any bother long after you are gone and your existence has no profound meaning whatsoever. Just enjoy life till you have it. When you are gone, you don't exist and it does not matter to anyone or anything. Thats all there is to know.

You weren't gonna make it through life anyway then 😂
Is this the closest thing you can get to a discouraging comment😂

Pillow is the problem. Use a folded bedsheet under neck to keep air passage straight and reduce pressure on thyroid.

The horrible noise in the background is always louder and Sadhguru's voice always more difficult to focus upon. Why are you inflicting that to the seekers ? Please answer

Sadguru should not dwell on subjects not in his realm unless ofcourse he wants to project himself as an ex ponent of all human related issues other than spirituality on which he hardly speaks nor competent

Jaggi Vasudev is an expert at speaking a lot and saying nothing at the same time. It's great for business when there are so many gullible people who are keen to embrace lies in their quest for meaning. Reality is - the world will exist forever and without consequence of your existence after you are gone. Many don't want to believe this but your existence has no profound meaning. Just be kind and fully enjoy life till you have it. When you are gone, you don't exist and it does not matter. Thats all there is to know.
