Hi, I just recieved a Nu-X Trident. Its EXCELLENT!!! But is there a way to delete the factory presets? All of them are not usable for me..and I would love to have more space for my sounds. Also..one wrong press of a button and they are screaming out of my amp !!!!! I don't want to have that happen at one of my shows. How do I delete the factory presets?
Id like to request a demo of the Mesa IIC+ Metal sound. I love all the other sounds but thats the one that i have yet to hear and its the one thing keeping me from buying it. Also, do you find a drop in volume when moving from patch to patch? Specifically from a clean patch to a distorted patch? I have often had that issue with these types of units.
I haven't purposely observed it but from what I have experienced in my live performances, yes it seems that the reverbs and delays register trails when I switch between patches. But it could also be as simple as the reverbs (to be specific) of all my patches blend well with each other that it seems to trail because I only use one reverb tyoe in most of my patches- the hall reverb. But it could also be a function of the natural reverb I get from the venues especially since I plug in the Trident directly to the FOH every time. Will look into it. Thank you so much for your question :)

I don't think any reverb would ''blend'' well with each other, giving you the impression of true trail spillover. If it doesn't have the trails spillover function, you'd get a very noticeable hard cut, no matter the fx/patch settings. So if you haven't noticed any hard cut, it would probably mean that it does have trails spillover. Some plugins, like STL AmpHub, do offer trails spillover but only works when the 2 patches have the exact same reverb/delay settings applied (even if the fx are turned off in one of the 2 patches, they need to match perfectly). It's better than nothing, but it makes everything complicated to set up and won't work in every scenarios. I hope this unit can really do it properly, like the more expensive stuff. Also, set personal goals, break them down into achievable steps, and utilize online resources like tutorials and lessons! There are a lot on TH-cam! And lastly, learn from guitarists you admire, emulate their techniques, and seek feedback from communities. Overall, just be patient, enjoy the journey, and just keep pushing! 🤓

I have the MG-30 and I see that the MG-30 offers MORE on the modulations like more types of delay and reverbs compared to the Trident. But the trident offers more variations on the amp section. I think the trident is built for the guys who wants a hybrid setup while MG-30 is for the people who wants an all in one solution. I just hope MG-30 update its firmware to offer the amp input choices like high/low input and that jumper cable. 😂
Its all I ask! along with scenes navigating with the two foot switches to get up and down to avoid cross through scene 2 when we're in 1 and we're targeting 3.
It is a tough choice between the two. But lemme say this. If you are an amp guy get the trident. Of you are looking for more modulation effects, get the MG30.

The Trident’s amp models feel more dynamic and realistic since the Trident already uses the TS/AC 4K amp modeling algorithm while the MG30 uses TS/AC 2K. For the IRs, I personally use GGD’s Cali OS suite. They sound really punchy! 🤓

Hi Joko, you're a fantastic guitarist. Regarding differences with mg-30: apart from the 4k engine, did Nux fix the extreme hot input and over brightly output of the mg 30 in the Trident? I have a mg30 and though the models are awesome (better than Helix and near to Fractal) i think that they made some mistakes in gain stages since it clips too easily and there's digital aliasing/artifacts in high gain tones. I've used both devices extensively and I feel that the Trident features a more subtle input for guitars, allowing for increased headroom when adjusting the gain. This results in a cleaner and more dynamic tone, minimizing the issues you mentioned such as clipping and digital artifacts in high gain tones :D :D
I use an MG30 live one thing you MUST do with the MG30 is go into the IR function and turn the Hi Cut & Lo Cut OFF! Down to 0 .....what this does increase your headroom and makes it respond much more like a real amp......try this !

Does this unit not have an input for one? Built-in expression pedals make units less suitable for desktop use. All units should just have an input for one so you can use it how you wish.
