Surf Perch fishing and how to dig for sand worms extra

- I went fishing on the day one of my 10 day license. Decided to just go for surf perch and was surprised to run into some fisherman who were digging for sand worms. I had never seen this technique nor have I gone digging for sand worms. Always have bought them at a bait shop and now I am sharing how it is done.

Rod - 8 ft G-Loomis Greenwater paired with Shimano Stradic FJ 3000 reel spooled 30 lb braid
Rod - 10' Okuma Rockaway, RA-S1002M 10lb-20lb 3/4 to 3 oz with Shimano Spinning Reel 21 ULTEGRA C5000XG Gear Ratio 6.2:1 Fishing Reel spooled 30 lb braid.

I've seen some small ones when razor clamming. I'm sure we can get them in the PNW.
