    Day one an idiot crosses 3 rows of traffic at high speed to get into the turn lane im in, if it wasnt for Eye sight I dont think I would have reacted fast enough to prevent the incoming car. Im already in love with the brand and my 2021 Subaru Impreza has already saved me. Shes now an official family member, thank you Ammy ❤

    I just had a hard stop pulled on me this morning, I was totally confused and thought I hit the car in front of me and that’s why the car jolted to a stop. Took me a few seconds to realize it was the pre collision braking system. I’m doubtful that I would’ve hit the car in front of me if the car didn’t automatically hard stop, but I guess this system airs on the side of “better safe than sorry”

    agree with many comments about the problems with eyesight. I wish I could just keep it off, it has hit the breaks for me more times than I can count and yet none of those situations would have resulted in an accident if it didnt... In fact, I'm worried it's going to 'cause' an accident one of these days with its random breaking because there might be a guard rail on a turn or someone pulls out far enough ahead and just goes, but it hits the breaks anyway. probably get pulled over for break checking due to eyesight thinking I'm going to crash one of these days.

      I've heard that from several people which make me think something's wrong with mine, but the company has tested it several times over and found nothing wrong with it. so I don't know. It seems to always pick up random things that aren't there. @@TCPUDPATM

      Seriously. I turned off the collision braking but it came back on today. I see so many situations where you just cant let a car automatically do this. Especially turns into gaps in oncoming traffic, or driving on winding roads with cars coming the other way. It is very common to be approaching a car head-on at high speeds for a split-second. Brakes can be so so wrong in those moments.

      my wrx stomped on the brakes while in bumper to bumper traffic today, it was very dangerous. it is set up way too sensitive. actually locking up the front tires.

    This system causes collisions by false positives. It incorrectly thinks there's danger from things as simple as a bend in the road or a shadow on the road and it LOCKS your brakes up, leaving you rear-ended, spinning out of control, or dead. This type of system will be made even more aggressive and mandatory for 2029 model year. Insane.

    Pretty sure this system is unsafe and can kill you. Got false HARD stops pulling into my garage: I think it detects the side of the entrance and it's a narrow garage. I'm in pain as we speak. I thought I had it disabled after this happened last week but somehow it is back on. Also, think about left turns into a gap in opposing traffic. Imagine it slamming brakes because you swung in just after a car passes you. The next car hits you. This is a deadly emergency. Easily ends more lives than it saves.

      my car stomped on the brakes twice today, once in traffic and another while backing up to park. just going to pull the fuse out. too dangerous.

    This feature sucks, it's almost gotten me rear ended with my forester. It detects a car directly in front and even though that car is pulling over to side and im going around my forester slams on brakes. This has happened 3X in my 2022

    Worst annoying feature EVER. Wish I could turn it off permanently. It is constantly breaking when it is not remotely necessary, so it is just causing unnecessary wear and tear on the brakes, lowering gas mileage, and pissing me off CONSTANTLY. Never once when it has applied (which happens virtually every time I drive it) has there been any danger of any collision. I agree with the other comment that this feature is FAR more likely to cause an accident for me than to prevent one.

      Sounds like you need to back off the asses of other drivers chief

    • @polycarp87
      @polycarp87 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@RivenofaCoupleVoices It incorrectly activates during tight turns in roads (it can't tell the cars and guard rails on the other side of the road aren't in your way), cars turning, and worst of all cross traffic. If you pull out of a parking lot it detects cars in the opposite lane and LOCKS your brakes, leaving you stranded in front of the now oncoming traffic. You've never used this system, you shouldn't comment on it.
