Inspection cameras can be a priceless item to have in your shop, but how much money do you invest in a tool you use once a month? This question is easier the more you use it, but for an average shop guy, they are not used much. In this video, I wanted to compare my $800 Milwaukee Tool Inspection Camera to a $250 Amazon Teslong camera. I was surprised at how good the Teslong was.
Milwaukee Tool claims to have a 640 x 480 camera for best-in-class image quality while Teslong claims to have a 1280x720 HD camera. Obviously, that is a huge difference.
The Milwaukee Tool has many more options and you can move the camera from the screen. The Teslong has 3 cameras in the head and it allows you to change between them easily. In our situation, the 3 cameras made it quick and easy to find what we were looking for.
There are many, many affordable options to buy these units that will connect to your phone. I normally opt to move away from those units as our phones change more often now and the USB inputs also change. I do not want a tool that is tied to technology because the tool will have to be replaced faster. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
One of the best review channels on TH-cam. You don’t waste our time with dumb s*** & long winded intros & stories that nobody cares about like many other reviewers do.
1000%
Well im interested in the dumb sh**
Agreed he is the best, does real world test
Very helpful. Thanks for posting this.
I love the Teslong NTS500 Triple Lens Endoscope !!! I can't believe that milwaukee cost $850 that's crazy !!!
I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.
That's awesome thanks for the info. I have been looking into getting a borescope for a while now. I wasnt sure what route to go I would really like to see the budget scope that has some decent specs. I dont expect it to be the best of course and I would gladly trade options for great resolution. In the end, I'm thinking, if the picture isn't good the options dont really matter.
$800 miwaukee Endoscope and it doesn't even Articulated bend all the way back is a rip off tool. It's hardly worth it's asking price tag. And not only that....it's bulky with a small tiny viewing screen. For $800 I'd expect that tool to have 4k resolution and a 8" digital screen with full 360 degree camera articulation. 3" screen is a joke for an $800 dollar tool.
For 800 I expect the camera to be microscopic and Bluetooth/wifi compatible and 100 feet long
Love to know thoughts on the NTS-300 vs NTS-500, triple lens vs autofocus.
Ima hvac tech and I’m tryna find a good inspection camera to look at heat exchangers on older furnaces cuz the inspection mirrors are trash
I bought a 40 dollar ndage and it has served me well though i have little need for it. I used it for retrieving items out of a crevice after taping it to one of those claw pick up tools and put my claw machine skills to the test. 🤣
you can also get endoscopes that work with bluetooth. that $250 might be a great deal tho'. and phone-based makes it easy to send pictures/video to others.
looking forward to going down this hole!
I was going to get the milwaukee $200 scope but after trying it out I went with a Amazon $60 scop it is worlds better! They didn't have the one one you do then I am temped to upgrade. They come in handy working in tight areas. I used mine for internal sprinkler pipe inspection.
Which one did you get?
Is the camera part water resistant for sinks Tubs and such
Excellent review, and very timely. I was just looking at some Teslong units after seeing some TH-cam engine mechanics using them. I currently have an older low-res monochrome Milwaukee unit.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m in the same situation, trying to decide on the optimal model and manufacturer. Teslong vs Deptech, autofocus vs triple lens
I need good one for checking insaid very hot catalytic converters please.
Can someone advise me which one to get
Does a borescope see inside an engine?
Any discount codes for teslong?
I have the same Teslong scope, and love it
I have some ideas for the milwaukee one
That one I suspect is designed more for plumbing use cases then automotive by the length
i wish the made an articulating model that has a longer cable
Get one with autofocus function. It will increase the usability.
Seems one has to choose autofocus vs 3 lens, pros and cons of both I’d love to hear

Te schlong ftw
Milwaukee is wayyy overpriced compared to the alternatives today.
Ya verry nice , but those inspction cameras has limited battery life , i had to attach my unit to a ,axuliery battery in order to use it . Battery loses charge quite quickly and it is no good ad if you can just pull it off the shelf and use it.
I have to keep a battery in my Milwaukee to keep the screen charged. That sucks. I have not had an issue with the battery life on this Teslong. left it on overnight on accident and it was still running this morning. On the charger now.
@@WorkshopAddict i rather have battery triple A or double A battery place than to charging it.
@@45NUTS_PART_DEUX I get that. With today's resources, internal batteries are easy to replace in about anything. I wish we could come up with better technology in our AA batteries so they could be more viable.
@@WrenchesRides they make rechargeable lithium aa replacement batteries.
@@ucitymetalhead Rechargable AA have sucked for battery life in my camera equipment.
