Im sorry for your loss. I cant even begin to imagine that pain. Im grieving losing my husband of 16 years in May 2022. Still hurts like the day he passed. The universe works in crazy ways. I was having a really hard shitty day and I came across this song by Dayseeker. Mind you, I dont really sleep anymore because when I do, I see him. One would think I would want to sleep as much as i can... I thought the same, however.... Waking up and having to face reality over and over again when it felt so real is a tough scenero to put yourself thru time and time again so i dont sleep.... anyway that song by Dayseeker is about going to sleep and talking to a loved one and waking up and it not being real.. Mind blown! Fast forward a few hours and Im watching this.... I wish you the very best! I hope you and Ashley are doing well. (My name is Ashley as well,so it stuck out when Chief said it in the video) Hugs and much love

I completely relate to what you have been going through with the difficult task of sleeping, which would seem so easy to do under your circumstances. I too thought I could just sleep things away and would escape that way. It wasn't too long before I was afraid to sleep, either because I would see our son in dreams or like your experience....that whole waking up to reality and facing that pain all over. I had to give Dreamstate a listen and what a song! The verse "'Cause every time I wake up || I'm waiting for a miracle || And maybe when the night comes || I'll find you in another world"....really hits me in my feels. Again, I hope the best for you and hope that you are doing well. We'll keep you in mind, especially in May (May 12th for us) when that difficult time comes around. Many hugs and much love to you!
