Mr. Evers I love throwing a frog as much as anybody but in my opinion walking a frog isn't the correct way to use it. I prefer the Lunkerhead frogs with the natural legs and working it like a real frog. Please let me know your opinion way non of the pros use a traditional frog. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment 👍 the traditional frog action is good but so many times a frog represents other things that a bass preys on especially bluegill and shad. Also by walking it, you can keep it in one location or the strike zone a lot longer 🎣
Hey Edwin this is Drew smith, Beth’s nephew. My partner and I just won the Missouri state championship fishing tournament last weekend with a 4 fish 14.45 pound bag. Thank you for making these helpful videos which take my fishing game to the next level! Good luck on the MLF tour!!
Your videos on which baits to use each month has really helped my fishing game. I appreciate you for taking the time to explain the different baits and when to use them.
Last year I switched to 100% Berkley! I haven't regretted one thing. These 3 lures are missing from my tackle box. Thanks for sharing all the videos and tips. They have proven to be extremely helpful. Tight lines brother.
Thanks for this video Edwin. I look forward to each month. I have tried a lot of your suggestions and have had success. Please keep up the good work. Wishing you much success on your tournament.
Your videos are always very informative. I like that you don’t just “advertise” a bait or lure. Information on line, rod, and reel speed to get the most out of the bait you’re using is great! I appreciate you taking the time to share your vast knowledge with the rest of us.
I know you have to push your sponsors but just an idea, how about a video on how to make what tackle we already have better? Maybe some tips on making treble hooks changes to your crankbaits, changing skirts colors, adding weight to a lure, or taking paint to old lures. Not short vids but combine it all into 1. And while your at it, what about us bankies? We all can't afford that rock-n-roll lifestyle with boats and new trucks, big house on the lake, etc.? How about you shoulder a pack this summer and walk a bank with us poor people?
He's marketing for his sponsors, but at the same time giving tips on the type of baits to use. Ignore the brand specificity and choose similar baits from your favorite brand(s). There are other very good channels that talk a lot about bait modifications if that is what you are looking for.
As always great stuff, I fish mostly shallow water in North Louisiana but I can see how applying the heavier concept (while it's relative) is gonna help me catch some extra summer fish.
Edwin Evers is always on my top list of fishermen. Whether he’s serious, being comical or just in the groove of rippin lips, he is always having a good time. Thanks for the advice always!!
Great job bringing up the 1 oz. spinnerbait. I'd forgotten about it. Also, the reel speed. With so many talking about the 8+ speed reels. They're not always the ticket. A "slow row" presentation in 20' - 25' on 12 lb. flora or 15 lb. mono. depending on how much structure brings a good many bites. The swim bait down that deep is a great idea too. As far as Berkley for crank baits, I'll have to give them another look. I've used the DD-22 to get down deeper in the summertime. Thanks for the refresher course. Always a good thing!
Don’t stop making these videos! Your top 3 vids always remind me to try something new when I get stuck on a bait or way of fishing that was working but as the month/seasons and fishing conditions change I may not be getting as many bites. These videos help me to try some bait I might not of otherwise and get more fish on the bank👍🏾
Your videos are awesome!! I’m a year into targeting bass. Mostly spots down here on highland reservoirs in N. Ga.. Your informative style helps me learn and then I get to put in the work.
Love your monthly suggestions. It was a pleasure to briefly meet you at Del Hollow Lake. Looking forward to trying deep dive crank baits in the upcoming weeks!
There are some great nuggets of info in this video. Thank you for sharing! I have not ever considered dragging a heavier spinnerbait down in deep water. That is an excellent tip. Thanks again for sharing hope you and all anglers catch them all month long!
Love that Berkley is putting out the unrigged Cullchads and also in 5in. I fish from either the bank or a kayak, and having them unrigged helps when fishing around vegetation so I can swim it over it.
Just subscribed, I know your name from watching BASS on ESPN. Just getting back into fishing again and learning after more than 40 years of not doing it. Can’t wait to see all the new bait and lures that have come about since I have done this.
Thank you Edwin as always for sharing your experiences and insights on these seasonal baits. Good luck and be safe for the rest of your travels for the year. God bless.
Summertime summertime glad you’re bringing the fun and information to all the fans. God bless you keep up the good work, loving the information every single time.
Another great video buddy, stocked up on rigged cull shad.. can't await to stock up on those unrigged as well! A buddy of mine has one and fishes it weightless in his pond and bass go crazy over it! Thanks and good luck the rest of the season!!!!!
I've never thought of fishing a spinner bait that deep! Going to try that next day out! And also thank you for explaining line sizes to keep those baits in that strike zone at target depth. I get that wrong from time to time. I appreciate these videos Edwin! Thank you for the time you put into to these! God Bless!
Love the big spinnerbait! Looking forward to trying it out. Spring I had great success with a single blade thru the lily pad stalks. Thanks for the great information. All the best!
I love that you're throwing in a few different things that most people do not throw. I got to check out the new unrigged call shad. Thanks for the great tips and baits
Thanks again for the monthly lure recommendations! My conference has been low on crankbaits but I’m planning on trying crankbaits only for a few trips to try and figure it out. I’m definitely interested in that DIME !!! Thanks again!
Thanks Edwin for the tips and I always have a spinner bait tied on from spring till fall . Bouncing a one oz. blade off the bottom this time of year would clean house lol !
You're 100% correct I've caught some giants out in 20+ft of water slow rolling a big spinnerbait. There not a lot of companies making those really heavy spinnerbaits... I don't really know of anyone other then Strikeking that makes anything over an once. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
