Looks like a 4-star in terms of damage... With those crazy crit stats he couldn't even beat 10k with a solo hit. My team of 4-star (C6) characters with 4-star weapons cleared the latest Abyss 12 faster than this and I didn't even use dendro reactions. I got really weird impressions of Cyno now, not as excited as I was before...(
Appreciate the honest “he’s ok” opinion. Saving up for Nahida and was hearing a lot of buzz how she will work extremely well with Cyno and Nilou. Still need to get Albedo for Itto, and Nahida (and maybe cons).
Tbf nahida is likely gonna improve Cyno and Nilou a lot. If you are still on the fence about him, id be checking leaks in a few days to learn of nahida's kit and make a more informed decision from there . Currently most of the kit is known but gameplay leaks should be out later today/tomorrow
I'm in the exact same boat as you, (want Albedo for my Itto) and was interested in Cyno and definitely gonna get Nahida. Unfortunately, from everything I'm seeing Cyno has me leaning towards not getting him. His super long field time and energy concerns make it hard to build teams around him. Additionally, as a Welkin player (who has 400+wishes saved), he's kinda too much whale bait. Seems like his signature weapon is a massive upgrade over any other option and his C2 is a pretty massive dps increase (his other cons are really good too) and I'm skeptical he'd be all that much more fun/strong to use over aggravate Keqing with comparable weapons without his C2. I'd rather pull 2 cons for my C0 Raiden (who has way better team synergies) than try to get 3 copies of Cyno and his weapon to make him even remotely comparable. Pass for now, get Albedo and Nahida and maybe wait for a Cyno rerun, by then we might have some more supports that work well with him.
@@SK-kh8xq Tbf Nahida will improve every character that deals with dendro reaction. If it improves Aggravate Cyno then it will improve Aggravate Keqing or Raiden. But overall will boost Cyno much better since he scales with EM. However, I dislike the idea that you should pull for 5* back-to-back to have a satisfying results. I saved Primos since Kazuha latest rerun and only managed to save about 140 pulls which is not enough to guarantee 2 5*. So i'd have to wait for Cyno or Nahida rerun to guarantee them both and by then there will be more characters coming out that may or may not be looking tempting.

Cyno's burst should've been swap-able like Noelle's. This one change would've mitigate his support issues. I think for now I am fine with my C3 Keqing, C6 Fischl / Kuki, Dendro MC, Zhongli/ Kazuha for Aggravate and Kuki, Dendro, XQ, Yelan for Hyper Bloom need. I think its never wise to pull a character depending on future potential that might never realized. But anyone pulling Cyno for non-meta reason best of luck, may you win 50/50.
Not necessarily. More Dendro characters are expected to be released. And since Cyno is a character based in the new region it is expected that he will not communicate well with the old ones.
Because in this case this is act as a stance change. Changing the whole moveset of his normal attack. Hence the dmg scale from Burst talent multiplayer. Noelle on other hand act as Elemental Infusion. Normal attack didnt change, and you can still swap character without ruining the elemental effect. Hence the dmg actually scales off you normal attack talent. The same can be said with diluc which Infusion, and how Raiden work with her stance change tp katana which Will be wear off if you change character
Ngl after test use him, he is stupidly fun, like Itto level of fun. Lot of aoe, extremely fast attack and a fun timing mechanic. He may not be that strong at the moment, he is still worth pulling due to how fun he is!
i think what cyno is lacking is more oriented supports. a lot of support characters have short-lived buffs bc thats how a lot of characters play. but i still think he's pretty cool and balanced and i like that about him
He also lacks personal damage. And yeah it don’t help that he don’t have good supports and then needs like different artifacts to work with different teams
Man I would love to see a dps showdown between Cyno and Xiao. With how similar the characters are, I can imagine their battle would be very close and interesting. Kinda like Ayaka vs Ganyu.
@@derek7 Although I like Xiao he would definitely lose. Xiao has no synergy with any other characters. Cyno, although it doesn't have perfect support, still makes strong reactions like Hyperbloom and Aggravating, Xiao is Anemo, it doesn't have any reaction.
I don't know how nahida could possibly improve his damage significantly. You saw his aggravate damage, the damage is just low in general at c0. Idk about c6 r5 with kazuha zhongli and nahida, could be busted
Well that's a hasty showcase, Cyno won't be broken but with more EM buffs, Sucrose/Kazuha/Nahida and a Better Weapon he still has a lot of potential for higher DMG
I agree with you, a certain kid like character who happens to be dendro whose burst also happen to follow character around and seamlessly apply dendro (the character uses a catalyst and is part of 7)
The ring doesn't seem to last that long to keep up with Cyno's very long on-field time, so Dendro MC is still his best Dendro partner currently unless we get better ones. Collei works with Keqing bcs Keqing can easily be swapped out whenever you want.
Fyi, you can use his E one time after activating Q so that you will get perfect timing for his kit where the eye thingy will appear after every last hit (which means maximum damage) of his auto attack (without any cooldown effect). You might be missed the timing for sometimes but it's not hard to practice it.
I want Cyno and try him with Kuki, Collei and Xingqiu, it's like the walmar version of your the hyperbloom team but it's just that i don't wanna have a team without a healer XD
still go dmc over collei tho. collei has a short burst of dendro application and dmc has consistant application over a long time, which u need for cyno. but anyway in this team both kuki and cyno will be hyperblooming so ud need to build em on both or smth
keqing has excellent synergy with crowd control anemo like kazuha sucrose or venti while cyno doesn’t. also way better synergy with fischl easily allowing you to refresh oz on demand. unfortunately this would be a mismatch in favor of keqing.
Keqing is indeed better since she can utilize kazuha and fischls a2 passive all the time. Both do relatively similar personal damage but having kazuha alone instead of zongli is already a huge increase in Performance especially in aoe scenarios. Ofc u can argue cyno can use kazuha too but he wont be able to constantly use kazuha skills on cooldown same with fiscl
@Loveblade ͒ the thing with keqing tf aggravate is u dont use her normal attacks at all :v similar to cyno here only using E. Keqing rotates her teams all the time so u literally only do E and with her which has respectable numbers lol so its not really a problem anymore. Also her burst last hit does good damage, and the other damage before it procs quite a lot of aggravate which is beneficial for ur fischls a2 to proc constantly
@Loveblade ͒ Keqing charged attacks doesn't throws her back if u r HITTING targets. She might throw small enemies, but against large enemies or bosses she always get stuck on target, u would know it if u give it a try only once but u don't. And she even does not need to do normal attacks because she play as a revolver, not as on-field main DPS. But as i said u didnt even play on Keqing to say it
I wish Geo could react with Dendro and root and constrict enemies. Growth. Then that could have followup reactions sort of like Bloom. Add more Dendro and get overgrown. Which beefs up the roots and can restrict larger enemies now and also produce aoe dendro. (Sort of like what the large dendro slimes do) Add Hydro and you produce bloom seeds. Add Pyro and you get Blaze. Basically the strongest pyro application version of Burning. Add Electro and you get Quicken but applied Overgrown spreads it AOE. Add Cryo and you get Wither. Single Target or AOE application of a toxin that destroys the roots quicker than burning does, but it's a status that can proc normal dendro or Cryo reactions. Thus allowing Geo to finally strengthen Dendro related reactions.
cyno can use either em or atk sands! if you have a low base atk weapon like his BiS or deathmatch, run an em sands. if you hvae a high base atk like PJWS, Homa, or the craftable in this video, run an atk sands. this is generally going to be the case for building cyno, but run whichever has better substats and gives you more dmg in the team. in certain situations, you may run the opposite sands em buffers like Elegy, 4p instructor, sucrose, etc may allow you to run an atk sands atk buffers like bennett, 4p NO, ttds, etc may allow you to run em sands
ngl, cyno looks kinda underwhelming. ik it's still wat too early to judge with with a 4 star weapon, he really doesn't look like anywhere near the dps lvl of units like ayaka, hu tao, ganyu, etc. his knockback just makes him terrible in many aoe scenarios too. i do think that his 5 star weapon would be a massive upgrade for him. and even without being broken , he is balanced and can clear out any content in the game so i m not complaining.
@kollie79 not necessarily. childe could also be considered ''weak'' but he holds his grounds really well. same with xiao his persistent dmg is also nothing to sneeze at. same with ayato, isn't the best but more than good enough. same with kokomi as well, is nowhere near these units yet still is decent.
@kollie79 not really. i just included the dps units cuz he is also a dps. a character's value isn't just in dps. i could have also included other units like kazuha, raiden, zhongli, venti, etc as well. they are not primarily dps but are far above cyno. it's just a general consensus that cyno isn't as valuable as many supports or meta dps units as of now but he's still good enough to be used anywhere u want. i just got him and his weapon and even with lv 50 and a homa for now, he performs good enough to be used in domains.
@kollie79 dude, it's not silly at al. and no one really dissed raiden that much. her value was there from the beginning, people just noticed it a week later. and okomi just became decent. she is still far from a needed unit in the game. i just gave u some examples for the situation. i don't mean to say that cyno is shit or others are better. it's just that he isn't as valuable of a 5 star than some other 5 str units i mentioned earlier.
He really got the xiao treatment. The non whale showcases I’ve seen all seem to do very similar damage to a c6 Noelle. Not even a high investment c6 Noelle.
got him at 50/50 couple of weeks ago and i'd say that he is definitely worth the pull, the scarab hunting is annoying for sure. i don't regret pulling him PS: i'm using an R2 proto pole with tons of support like dendro traveler,zhongli and kazuboy (ER/EM goes brrrrrt)
hmmm so far i have tried itto mono geo can easily 36 star abyss really easy to play the thing is itto have gorou, cyno have dendro but shorter time meanwhile xiao have nothing......

At least its nice to know that future characters would potentially have longer buff durations with higher damage to fight against the older quick-swap teams of low durations
There is a character that has a kit to support Cyno and his needs but most players skipped her. Dory and her hyper energy generation are his best support.
You don't need Dori to burst uptime on Cyno, Fischl is better in every way, she provides enough ER, she can be used with TM set to buff Cyno's ATK, and she has a freaking insane dps, and most of the players have Fischl C6 so far, so nope, Dori isn't a BiS char for Cyno, Zhongli is better for survival needs.
I feel like nilou is going to be op over cyno, just like ganyu over xiao in liyue... I wish they made the cool looking characters a bit more meta-ish Edit: That's a lot of opinions... Well I guess I'll just build both cyno and keqing and use them as I want to
Nilou is gonna be a broken niche unit. She's gonna be bonkers in bloom but meh in everything else. Anyways she's hydro and that already gives her an upper hand

F2P opinion: Cyno owners, please let me know how worth he is. Imo atm, he requires more setups than raiden as an electro unit. Since he is EM focus, his kits may requires certain amount of er to utilize full potential whilst the rest of the builds are EM. As some comments have mentioned, he does requires certain niche supports as well. Which comes down to, how much of investment needed for him to perform as good as current teams available? Overall, he is more of a side grade than an upgrade with current character pulls. For better option, I would still go for raiden instead of cyno.
Well look at IWTL video, He had all characters with BIS 40 cv artifacts most likely. C6 fish, C6 zhonli, C6 collie. R5 f2p weapon. A f2p won't even come close to this video even lol
Imo, he needs a reliable dendro applicator(Nahida hello). Low A without weapon, high A with weapon and Dendro units. I already have c3r1 Raiden so I just rolled for c1 Candace because waifu and got Venti and tighnari within 6k primos and a guaranteed Dehya. He might improve in the future because of less dendro units right now but still fun to play regardless. Wish all Cyno wanters to be Cyno havers.
I still pulled for him for the lore and drip despite seeing all the mediocre C0 reviews. He does get the job done but nothing game-changing that’s for sure (until you pay to win cons of course). Kinda reminds me of Ayato, everyone went crazy for him but there’s not a lot of reviews hyping him up nor complaining too much about him. C0 Xiao is probably worth getting more than Cyno honestly.
i simply hope theres not gonna be much complain for cyno. hoyoverse probably is trying to lower the chance of powercreep by slowly making the next 5* doing a bit worse in terms of solo damage, and making it more into full team combination. on the other hand, i really like candace design, hope you make a showcase for her soon, since i dont really care about damage rn, i just want to see how good is she actually in an honest opinion
There's a server dedicated to content creators where they have early access to upcoming characters. That gives them a lot of opportunity and time to experiment, study, and try out the characters and then they create guides before hand. Then when the update is released and the rest of us have access, they have these "guides" ready to be released. They don't make it same day lol
To me he seems kind of like an electro Tighnari. Not play style wise, but damage wise. They both do pretty eh damage with some big numbers that pop up randomly.
I originally played around with Cyno with severed fate set, but I forgot that thundering fury existed lol And yeah, Cyno kinda shot himself on the foot with the long burst duration. I usually just use the burst until all buffs ran out(around 12 seconds) and just swap out.
I didn't have my hopes up for him and I was right,now I can finally save some primo in peace. I am so tired of grinding for kokomi and losing to qiqi at 77. But I got ganyu before at 79pity though. Let's see if I can keep myself from wishing, I would love having nahida next.
@@Zackloll I just tried him , his eye thingy is not hard to use and satisfying too. and it has big area coverage. His energy seemed to be filling up really fast in his burst mode with only 135 ER. Ok now I don't not like him now. I think with high investment he can deliver. But like c6 high and BiS weapon.
Just got Cyno today. From what I know from leaks, the dendro application problem for Cyno will be fixed once Nahida comes out. I have seen some leaks of her gameplay where her AOE in burst is just... monstrously big. Like you could fit a whole house inside it. And pretty sure her burst will also be long if we are going to based off Dendro Traveller. With this, I think it will fixed Cyno's dendro application problem. IMO, since Sumeru is still new its only natural a lot of old characters, especially supports, won't synergies well with Cyno. Cyno's kit is basically a Tighnari. A team dps that focuses in reaction. There are only 2 dendro supports, one being the Traveller. A lot of future characters will definitely be focusing around more on the Dendro reactions. Cyno might not look good right now, but pretty sure he'll receive a buff later on.
Except Nahida has no Dendro application on her Domain Expansion, so its AoE and duration are irrelevant in that regard. You can think of it as just an absolutely ginormous buff circle for the on-field character. Her Dendro app is instead tied to her skill that will mark enemies and tick Dendro damage like a multi-target version of Yoimiya's Aurous Blaze, but triggered by elemental reactions on the enemy. However, unlike Yoimiya's mark which transfers to the next enemy when the marked one dies, Nahida's seeds die with the enemy, so you run the risk of having to switch back to her in order to reapply them if all the marked enemies die too soon.
If you use Tigh or Collei, yes, as they are not meant to be enablers but are made for QS teams. DMC C2 however is doing the job perfectly fine, there is no problem with aggravate. Nahida is not an enabler, DMC still is the only dendro char to put in Cyno's team.

Cyno is already better than Xiao if only because he's electro so 1) has access to actual damage amplification reactions and 2) can have enemy resistances lowered by VV shred.
wait... so Cyno has different multipliers for his burst (and I suppose is counted as burst dmg), and both Xinqiu and Beidou can work with him? then what about raiden? mihoyo specifically told us that beidou+raiden wouldnt work because the burst attacks were counted as burst dmg and whatnot
Yes, he have separate multipliers in burst but unlike Raiden, her burst description clearly indicates "considered as burst DMG" while it's not case for Cyno. It's like Ayato/Childe's infusion skill which also have different multiplier but still benefits from normal,/charged attack buff.
During his Ult,Cyno damage is considered Normal Atk DMG(at this point he's more like Ayato and Childe having just a separate multiplier),so it can trigger Beidou Ult. Raiden is the only Infused Char that inflicts Burst DMG,due to the nature of his kit and synergy with ESoF.
i'm so tempted!!!! the team setup i would use would be Cyno/Surcorse/Traveler/Diona.. my current Gilded Dream set gets him to 86.6 / 202.7 / 213 EM at lvl 90, with his signature weapon and since both surcrose and diona gives EM total extra 320 EM for CC and Shield/heals and Dendro traveler for aggravate... i think he would do pretty good
Your team line-up could result in Cyno having energy/burst up-time issue since you didn't bring Fischl as his battery and his burst has 80 energy requirement, but if you change his artifact set to Thundering Fury he might be able to recharge his own Burst since you can spam his E a lot better than with Gilded set.

Damn they really did my boy dirty, will still be pulling for him, but his scaling is so bad, and his constellation and talents bearly provide him of anything, no utility, just more and more damage, while it doesn’t seem like damage gets boosted a lot
Well what do you expect? They have this biased thing towards other region beside liyue. Just look at where most of the broken characters came from, it's liyue and the newest one which is yelan only appear in one particular quest but shes broken af at c0. Wants more? How about yearly event? We will get our first ever mondstat event after 2 years they did Inazuma dirty with bad storytelling and many more

Tbh he is too underwhelming even with decent artifacts and pjws. I think he can do like xiao's couple plunge damage in his whole ass burst(i don't have xiao if you are wondering). Ngl his playstyle is cool and fun, but if you are looking for a character for abyss run or something like little challenging contents no need to pull. Think before rolling so you won't miss anything.
If you scout for Cyno or Nilou then you are required to scout for Nahida.. And honestly if you have them both it will be difficult to bring both of them to the abyss since there is only one Nahida..
I consider Cyno as the luckiest character in my account, why? During Cyno and Venti 's banner I decided to choose Venti over him even though I also wanted him to come home as well but I'm broke AF so Venti is a wise choice for me. After getting Venti at 76 pity and during the anniversary where you will get primos a day after and decided to pull in Cyno's banner at 12 midnight and just to build another round of pity (knowing I'm back to 0 pity and I ain't even the luckiest player when it comes to gacha), it turns out the wish turns into gold and I was immediately wide awake because of that and in my mind I was like "Oh maybe I will lose 50/50 on this I just won Venti and bhla bhla bhla" then Cyno came home in 1 pity... 1 PITY. This is my first time being lucky I won 50/50 twice and got both featured characters in that banner. After 2 months I decided to main Cyno at AR 56 and Chongyun will always be my Cryo main who carried me until AR 55 ❤️and now Cyno's build is still in progress but I got him to hit 11k with his burst at lvl 65 and that's a good start ₍₍◞( •௰• )◟₎₎
You know, the more these electro characters get released, the more I realise how broken Raiden is. Be it reactions or raw electro damage, she just demolishes everything, while being the battery. Feels like electro is in the meta only coz of her. Only Fischl and Beidou come close in terms of overall usage.
The difference between Xiao and Cyno is that there's already Raiden Shogun in the game that does more damage and provides much more utility and support. Cyno isn't even ranged like how Hu Tao and Yoimiya are different. Such a completely pointless kit and character to add to the game. There was no other anemo dps character already in the game when Xiao was released. Venti and Kazuha both do different things and don't compare in pure dps. Heizou is weaker and has much less AoE and Sucrose is also different.

@@youravghuman5231 ??? Cyno is also a selfish DPS what are you on about, most of his team buffs run out but you want to stay on field for the E damage. He does reactions yea, but the numbers are still sad, and Xiao has swirl, which even with low EM just from substats is a nice additional 1000 or so damage per plunge.
@@330786 what are you comparing xiao with? Also, reaction dmg can't be calculated with just a simple looks. Just see barbara hyperbloom team or keqing aggro. All dmg is low but there's so much reaction happening that makes up to it.
Can you do a comparison between him, Arataki Itto and Xiao? One (Itto) is my main and the other (Xiao) is a character fairly similar to the other two. I got Cyno and his weapon and I’d like to know who’s stronger between him and Itto thanks
Well as an f2p player I only spend my hard earned primos on totally broken characters and thats why so far I have only spent my primos on Hu Tao Ganyu and Zongli..i was really hoping that Cyno would also be broken af but well since he is not I will save my primos yet again..lets hope Nilou is gonna be broken but I somehow doubt thats gonna be the case..sadge life..
@@irrelevantguy3817 Dendro isn't broken in general like Vape or Melt neither it has someone like Ayaka or Raiden with insanely high multipliers. So not sure how Nahida would turn out to be.

I really dislike this game turning more and more into support impact. Cyno is a terrible character without supports. Does no damage, goes flying constantly and takes a lot of damage. There’s many characters that do so good alone. Noelle, Hu Tao, Ganyu, Fischl, xinqiu, Raiden, yae miko, xiangling, albedo, zhongli, ayaka, yoimiya. They need no supports to do good damage and all have redeeming factors for not being healers. Like Ganyu being Ranged so not having to rush in there, Hu Tao healing like crazy with burst. Even Xiao can jump and not be forced to normal attack, can just jump and plunge. Albedo you can just swap off and does 20k-30k blossoms every second
My only gripe with his character design, is that he’s got no abs, like he’s a warrior right? Even swimmer look more fit than he does, he’s as skinny and soft as me 😅 nothing against that soft skinny dudes but surly all of that fighting would buff him up right?
Abs showing has absolutely nothing to do with strength, as a matter of fact if you look at the worlds strongest people, not a single one of them have abs. Abs just means low body fat percentage

If cyno gets buffed by nahida keqing and beidou would also likely get buffed by nahida so he isn't really worth pulling for his role as an aggravate dps is easily replaceable.
i think he is OK, deals a decent amount of damage, his animations are cool and i like his playstyle, but he has some issues. I will be skipping him since i already have yae, raiden and fischl for aggravate. Also electro supremacy doesn't exist, ONLY GEO

Appreciate the honest “he’s ok” opinion. Saving up for Nahida and was hearing a lot of buzz how she will work extremely well with Cyno and Nilou. Still need to get Albedo for Itto, and Nahida (and maybe cons).
Tbf nahida is likely gonna improve Cyno and Nilou a lot. If you are still on the fence about him, id be checking leaks in a few days to learn of nahida's kit and make a more informed decision from there . Currently most of the kit is known but gameplay leaks should be out later today/tomorrow
I'm in the exact same boat as you, (want Albedo for my Itto) and was interested in Cyno and definitely gonna get Nahida. Unfortunately, from everything I'm seeing Cyno has me leaning towards not getting him. His super long field time and energy concerns make it hard to build teams around him. Additionally, as a Welkin player (who has 400+wishes saved), he's kinda too much whale bait. Seems like his signature weapon is a massive upgrade over any other option and his C2 is a pretty massive dps increase (his other cons are really good too) and I'm skeptical he'd be all that much more fun/strong to use over aggravate Keqing with comparable weapons without his C2. I'd rather pull 2 cons for my C0 Raiden (who has way better team synergies) than try to get 3 copies of Cyno and his weapon to make him even remotely comparable.
Pass for now, get Albedo and Nahida and maybe wait for a Cyno rerun, by then we might have some more supports that work well with him.
@@SK-kh8xq Tbf Nahida will improve every character that deals with dendro reaction. If it improves Aggravate Cyno then it will improve Aggravate Keqing or Raiden. But overall will boost Cyno much better since he scales with EM.
However, I dislike the idea that you should pull for 5* back-to-back to have a satisfying results. I saved Primos since Kazuha latest rerun and only managed to save about 140 pulls which is not enough to guarantee 2 5*.
So i'd have to wait for Cyno or Nahida rerun to guarantee them both and by then there will be more characters coming out that may or may not be looking tempting.

Cyno's burst should've been swap-able like Noelle's. This one change would've mitigate his support issues. I think for now I am fine with my C3 Keqing, C6 Fischl / Kuki, Dendro MC, Zhongli/ Kazuha for Aggravate and Kuki, Dendro, XQ, Yelan for Hyper Bloom need. I think its never wise to pull a character depending on future potential that might never realized. But anyone pulling Cyno for non-meta reason best of luck, may you win 50/50.

Not necessarily. More Dendro characters are expected to be released. And since Cyno is a character based in the new region it is expected that he will not communicate well with the old ones.
Because in this case this is act as a stance change. Changing the whole moveset of his normal attack. Hence the dmg scale from Burst talent multiplayer.
Noelle on other hand act as Elemental Infusion. Normal attack didnt change, and you can still swap character without ruining the elemental effect. Hence the dmg actually scales off you normal attack talent.
The same can be said with diluc which Infusion, and how Raiden work with her stance change tp katana which Will be wear off if you change character

The ring doesn't seem to last that long to keep up with Cyno's very long on-field time, so Dendro MC is still his best Dendro partner currently unless we get better ones. Collei works with Keqing bcs Keqing can easily be swapped out whenever you want.

Fyi, you can use his E one time after activating Q so that you will get perfect timing for his kit where the eye thingy will appear after every last hit (which means maximum damage) of his auto attack (without any cooldown effect). You might be missed the timing for sometimes but it's not hard to practice it.
Didn't he already do that at the chicken boss? He even activated his skill twice before the eye appears and still time it.
The early calcs actually rated r5 white tassel as his best f2p weapon so this damage can further be increased

keqing has excellent synergy with crowd control anemo like kazuha sucrose or venti while cyno doesn’t. also way better synergy with fischl easily allowing you to refresh oz on demand. unfortunately this would be a mismatch in favor of keqing.
Keqing is indeed better since she can utilize kazuha and fischls a2 passive all the time. Both do relatively similar personal damage but having kazuha alone instead of zongli is already a huge increase in Performance especially in aoe scenarios. Ofc u can argue cyno can use kazuha too but he wont be able to constantly use kazuha skills on cooldown same with fiscl
Keqing is better, if they say cyno + nahida would boost cyno damage, the same goes with Keqing 😉
@Loveblade ͒ the thing with keqing tf aggravate is u dont use her normal attacks at all :v similar to cyno here only using E. Keqing rotates her teams all the time so u literally only do E and with her which has respectable numbers lol so its not really a problem anymore. Also her burst last hit does good damage, and the other damage before it procs quite a lot of aggravate which is beneficial for ur fischls a2 to proc constantly

She might throw small enemies, but against large enemies or bosses she always get stuck on target, u would know it if u give it a try only once but u don't. And she even does not need to do normal attacks because she play as a revolver, not as on-field main DPS. But as i said u didnt even play on Keqing to say it

Growth. Then that could have followup reactions sort of like Bloom.
Add more Dendro and get overgrown. Which beefs up the roots and can restrict larger enemies now and also produce aoe dendro. (Sort of like what the large dendro slimes do)
Add Hydro and you produce bloom seeds.
Add Pyro and you get Blaze. Basically the strongest pyro application version of Burning.
Add Electro and you get Quicken but applied Overgrown spreads it AOE.
Add Cryo and you get Wither. Single Target or AOE application of a toxin that destroys the roots quicker than burning does, but it's a status that can proc normal dendro or Cryo reactions.
Thus allowing Geo to finally strengthen Dendro related reactions.

if you have a low base atk weapon like his BiS or deathmatch, run an em sands.
if you hvae a high base atk like PJWS, Homa, or the craftable in this video, run an atk sands.
this is generally going to be the case for building cyno, but run whichever has better substats and gives you more dmg in the team.
in certain situations, you may run the opposite sands
em buffers like Elegy, 4p instructor, sucrose, etc may allow you to run an atk sands
atk buffers like bennett, 4p NO, ttds, etc may allow you to run em sands

ngl, cyno looks kinda underwhelming. ik it's still wat too early to judge with with a 4 star weapon, he really doesn't look like anywhere near the dps lvl of units like ayaka, hu tao, ganyu, etc. his knockback just makes him terrible in many aoe scenarios too. i do think that his 5 star weapon would be a massive upgrade for him. and even without being broken , he is balanced and can clear out any content in the game so i m not complaining.

@kollie79 not really. i just included the dps units cuz he is also a dps. a character's value isn't just in dps. i could have also included other units like kazuha, raiden, zhongli, venti, etc as well. they are not primarily dps but are far above cyno. it's just a general consensus that cyno isn't as valuable as many supports or meta dps units as of now but he's still good enough to be used anywhere u want. i just got him and his weapon and even with lv 50 and a homa for now, he performs good enough to be used in domains.
@kollie79 dude, it's not silly at al. and no one really dissed raiden that much. her value was there from the beginning, people just noticed it a week later. and okomi just became decent. she is still far from a needed unit in the game. i just gave u some examples for the situation. i don't mean to say that cyno is shit or others are better. it's just that he isn't as valuable of a 5 star than some other 5 str units i mentioned earlier.

There is a character that has a kit to support Cyno and his needs but most players skipped her. Dory and her hyper energy generation are his best support.
You don't need Dori to burst uptime on Cyno, Fischl is better in every way, she provides enough ER, she can be used with TM set to buff Cyno's ATK, and she has a freaking insane dps, and most of the players have Fischl C6 so far, so nope, Dori isn't a BiS char for Cyno, Zhongli is better for survival needs.
i use him with yunjin bennet and zhongli and my lvl 40 talent lvl 1 cyno already does 20k autos cant wait to fully build him

Cyno owners, please let me know how worth he is. Imo atm, he requires more setups than raiden as an electro unit. Since he is EM focus, his kits may requires certain amount of er to utilize full potential whilst the rest of the builds are EM. As some comments have mentioned, he does requires certain niche supports as well. Which comes down to, how much of investment needed for him to perform as good as current teams available? Overall, he is more of a side grade than an upgrade with current character pulls. For better option, I would still go for raiden instead of cyno.
Well look at IWTL video, He had all characters with BIS 40 cv artifacts most likely. C6 fish, C6 zhonli, C6 collie. R5 f2p weapon. A f2p won't even come close to this video even lol

Imo, he needs a reliable dendro applicator(Nahida hello). Low A without weapon, high A with weapon and Dendro units. I already have c3r1 Raiden so I just rolled for c1 Candace because waifu and got Venti and tighnari within 6k primos and a guaranteed Dehya. He might improve in the future because of less dendro units right now but still fun to play regardless. Wish all Cyno wanters to be Cyno havers.

I still pulled for him for the lore and drip despite seeing all the mediocre C0 reviews. He does get the job done but nothing game-changing that’s for sure (until you pay to win cons of course). Kinda reminds me of Ayato, everyone went crazy for him but there’s not a lot of reviews hyping him up nor complaining too much about him. C0 Xiao is probably worth getting more than Cyno honestly.

There's a server dedicated to content creators where they have early access to upcoming characters. That gives them a lot of opportunity and time to experiment, study, and try out the characters and then they create guides before hand. Then when the update is released and the rest of us have access, they have these "guides" ready to be released. They don't make it same day lol

And yeah, Cyno kinda shot himself on the foot with the long burst duration. I usually just use the burst until all buffs ran out(around 12 seconds) and just swap out.

I didn't have my hopes up for him and I was right,now I can finally save some primo in peace. I am so tired of grinding for kokomi and losing to qiqi at 77. But I got ganyu before at 79pity though. Let's see if I can keep myself from wishing, I would love having nahida next.

@@Zackloll I just tried him , his eye thingy is not hard to use and satisfying too. and it has big area coverage. His energy seemed to be filling up really fast in his burst mode with only 135 ER.
Ok now I don't not like him now. I think with high investment he can deliver. But like c6 high and BiS weapon.

Just got Cyno today. From what I know from leaks, the dendro application problem for Cyno will be fixed once Nahida comes out. I have seen some leaks of her gameplay where her AOE in burst is just... monstrously big. Like you could fit a whole house inside it. And pretty sure her burst will also be long if we are going to based off Dendro Traveller. With this, I think it will fixed Cyno's dendro application problem. IMO, since Sumeru is still new its only natural a lot of old characters, especially supports, won't synergies well with Cyno. Cyno's kit is basically a Tighnari. A team dps that focuses in reaction. There are only 2 dendro supports, one being the Traveller. A lot of future characters will definitely be focusing around more on the Dendro reactions. Cyno might not look good right now, but pretty sure he'll receive a buff later on.
Except Nahida has no Dendro application on her Domain Expansion, so its AoE and duration are irrelevant in that regard. You can think of it as just an absolutely ginormous buff circle for the on-field character.
Her Dendro app is instead tied to her skill that will mark enemies and tick Dendro damage like a multi-target version of Yoimiya's Aurous Blaze, but triggered by elemental reactions on the enemy. However, unlike Yoimiya's mark which transfers to the next enemy when the marked one dies, Nahida's seeds die with the enemy, so you run the risk of having to switch back to her in order to reapply them if all the marked enemies die too soon.
If you use Tigh or Collei, yes, as they are not meant to be enablers but are made for QS teams.
DMC C2 however is doing the job perfectly fine, there is no problem with aggravate.
Nahida is not an enabler, DMC still is the only dendro char to put in Cyno's team.

Cyno is already better than Xiao if only because he's electro so 1) has access to actual damage amplification reactions and 2) can have enemy resistances lowered by VV shred.
wait... so Cyno has different multipliers for his burst (and I suppose is counted as burst dmg), and both Xinqiu and Beidou can work with him? then what about raiden? mihoyo specifically told us that beidou+raiden wouldnt work because the burst attacks were counted as burst dmg and whatnot
Yes, he have separate multipliers in burst but unlike Raiden, her burst description clearly indicates "considered as burst DMG" while it's not case for Cyno.
It's like Ayato/Childe's infusion skill which also have different multiplier but still benefits from normal,/charged attack buff.
During his Ult,Cyno damage is considered Normal Atk DMG(at this point he's more like Ayato and Childe having just a separate multiplier),so it can trigger Beidou Ult.
Raiden is the only Infused Char that inflicts Burst DMG,due to the nature of his kit and synergy with ESoF.

i'm so tempted!!!! the team setup i would use would be Cyno/Surcorse/Traveler/Diona.. my current Gilded Dream set gets him to 86.6 / 202.7 / 213 EM at lvl 90, with his signature weapon and since both surcrose and diona gives EM total extra 320 EM for CC and Shield/heals and Dendro traveler for aggravate... i think he would do pretty good
Your team line-up could result in Cyno having energy/burst up-time issue since you didn't bring Fischl as his battery and his burst has 80 energy requirement, but if you change his artifact set to Thundering Fury he might be able to recharge his own Burst since you can spam his E a lot better than with Gilded set.

Damn they really did my boy dirty, will still be pulling for him, but his scaling is so bad, and his constellation and talents bearly provide him of anything, no utility, just more and more damage, while it doesn’t seem like damage gets boosted a lot
Well what do you expect? They have this biased thing towards other region beside liyue. Just look at where most of the broken characters came from, it's liyue and the newest one which is yelan only appear in one particular quest but shes broken af at c0. Wants more? How about yearly event? We will get our first ever mondstat event after 2 years they did Inazuma dirty with bad storytelling and many more

Tbh he is too underwhelming even with decent artifacts and pjws. I think he can do like xiao's couple plunge damage in his whole ass burst(i don't have xiao if you are wondering). Ngl his playstyle is cool and fun, but if you are looking for a character for abyss run or something like little challenging contents no need to pull. Think before rolling so you won't miss anything.
If you scout for Cyno or Nilou then you are required to scout for Nahida.. And honestly if you have them both it will be difficult to bring both of them to the abyss since there is only one Nahida..

I consider Cyno as the luckiest character in my account, why? During Cyno and Venti 's banner I decided to choose Venti over him even though I also wanted him to come home as well but I'm broke AF so Venti is a wise choice for me. After getting Venti at 76 pity and during the anniversary where you will get primos a day after and decided to pull in Cyno's banner at 12 midnight and just to build another round of pity (knowing I'm back to 0 pity and I ain't even the luckiest player when it comes to gacha), it turns out the wish turns into gold and I was immediately wide awake because of that and in my mind I was like "Oh maybe I will lose 50/50 on this I just won Venti and bhla bhla bhla" then Cyno came home in 1 pity... 1 PITY. This is my first time being lucky I won 50/50 twice and got both featured characters in that banner.
After 2 months I decided to main Cyno at AR 56 and Chongyun will always be my Cryo main who carried me until AR 55 ❤️and now Cyno's build is still in progress but I got him to hit 11k with his burst at lvl 65 and that's a good start ₍₍◞( •௰• )◟₎₎

You know, the more these electro characters get released, the more I realise how broken Raiden is. Be it reactions or raw electro damage, she just demolishes everything, while being the battery. Feels like electro is in the meta only coz of her. Only Fischl and Beidou come close in terms of overall usage.

The difference between Xiao and Cyno is that there's already Raiden Shogun in the game that does more damage and provides much more utility and support. Cyno isn't even ranged like how Hu Tao and Yoimiya are different. Such a completely pointless kit and character to add to the game. There was no other anemo dps character already in the game when Xiao was released. Venti and Kazuha both do different things and don't compare in pure dps. Heizou is weaker and has much less AoE and Sucrose is also different.

@@youravghuman5231 ??? Cyno is also a selfish DPS what are you on about, most of his team buffs run out but you want to stay on field for the E damage. He does reactions yea, but the numbers are still sad, and Xiao has swirl, which even with low EM just from substats is a nice additional 1000 or so damage per plunge.
@@330786 what are you comparing xiao with? Also, reaction dmg can't be calculated with just a simple looks. Just see barbara hyperbloom team or keqing aggro. All dmg is low but there's so much reaction happening that makes up to it.

Well as an f2p player I only spend my hard earned primos on totally broken characters and thats why so far I have only spent my primos on Hu Tao Ganyu and Zongli..i was really hoping that Cyno would also be broken af but well since he is not I will save my primos yet again..lets hope Nilou is gonna be broken but I somehow doubt thats gonna be the case..sadge life..

@@irrelevantguy3817 Dendro isn't broken in general like Vape or Melt neither it has someone like Ayaka or Raiden with insanely high multipliers. So not sure how Nahida would turn out to be.
ayaka and raiden are better than ganyu nowadays tho. and kazuha.. u dont have any broken charas aside from zhongli

I really dislike this game turning more and more into support impact. Cyno is a terrible character without supports. Does no damage, goes flying constantly and takes a lot of damage. There’s many characters that do so good alone. Noelle, Hu Tao, Ganyu, Fischl, xinqiu, Raiden, yae miko, xiangling, albedo, zhongli, ayaka, yoimiya. They need no supports to do good damage and all have redeeming factors for not being healers. Like Ganyu being Ranged so not having to rush in there, Hu Tao healing like crazy with burst. Even Xiao can jump and not be forced to normal attack, can just jump and plunge. Albedo you can just swap off and does 20k-30k blossoms every second
My only gripe with his character design, is that he’s got no abs, like he’s a warrior right? Even swimmer look more fit than he does, he’s as skinny and soft as me 😅 nothing against that soft skinny dudes but surly all of that fighting would buff him up right?
i mean he does fight with a spear which i presume is fairly light so it kinda makes sense
Abs showing has absolutely nothing to do with strength, as a matter of fact if you look at the worlds strongest people, not a single one of them have abs. Abs just means low body fat percentage

Unless he’s some sort of god or not a human like Xaio. Look I’m gonna be real with u, I just wanted him to look hotter 😂 itto is still the best looking male genshin character, Zhongli is still best boy because his personality and voice is to die for.

If cyno gets buffed by nahida keqing and beidou would also likely get buffed by nahida so he isn't really worth pulling for his role as an aggravate dps is easily replaceable.
i think he is OK, deals a decent amount of damage, his animations are cool and i like his playstyle, but he has some issues. I will be skipping him since i already have yae, raiden and fischl for aggravate. Also electro supremacy doesn't exist, ONLY GEO
