I can see both together in bloom teams. Either way, Nahida skippers have a good dendro support no matter what
Currently, there aren’t many actual Dendro character supports. 3.1 leakers have confirmed there isn’t going to be another Dendro character, but characters who rely on Dendro reactions.
If Kusanali comes in 3.2, we would only have 3 Dendro support characters(if Kusanali IS a support, which she likely will be)

I'm guessing that Kuki was designed with dendro in mind. When she released, her kit felt pretty underwhelming but now it feels so much better. I'm glad she was buffed.
Dendro basically buffed most of the 'bad' characters while still not powercreeping the old meta.
I wanted Kuki so bad but even after 70ish pulls no luck.
I had my eyes on her when she was announced but decided to skip her because I didn't want to risk losing my guarantee on that banner. I'm pretty regretful now.

Before this patch traveler was just too niche to be relevant, i did find some uses for eletro to charge itto energy, and geo for overall crit support and energy as well, but the dendro traveler is actually a decent general suport, 15 seconds of contantly dendro aplication is really good, for any agravate team, so good to see a use to traveler
I swapped mine out for Collei for my aggravate team, originally because I figured might as well get some friendship with her. Since doing that, though, I find Collei feels better in that team (Sayu, Yae, Fischl, Collei). But even then, rather than the four star option being clearly superior, there are give and takes, such as the Traveler's burst having a larger radius. Which is definitely nice. The other versions of Traveler each have big drawbacks, from the moving tornado of Anemo, the obstruction of geo, and the "just give a better character a Favonius" of Electro.

The biggest traveler buff is that their voice actors finally get to speak(in the new sumeru quests)
I really like how the traveler got a lot more lines. I’ve been asking for the traveler to talk more in the surveys for months. It feels like a small dream came true.
I prefer the Traveler to be silent, personally. The English voice does not fit for Lumine at all.

I've already tried Zhongli + Sucrose/Kazuha + Raiden + Collei/Traveler in the abyss. And also Albedo + Kazuha + Fischl + Collei in the overworld and weapon mats domain for the craftable sword. I like all these teams. Not sure about Kusanali but might end up pulling for her as well
Raiden doesn't get as much use in a dendro comp as she does in raiden hypercarry or national
this due to her having 0 scaling with em, unlike yae, kuki, sucrose, kazuha, sayu etc...
Raiden doesn't benefit as much from aggravate flat dmg.
@@ThornsDroighorn that's not exactly why. Fischl works very well with aggravate despite having no EM scaling. The difference is, Fischl can apply electro a LOT faster with lower multipliers, meaning more aggravate procs and massive increases to her hits (particularly her A4), relative to what they would do normally
@@atriyakoller136 according to leak, her E will buff 25% dmg and her Q buff 50EM per 10sec, up to 200 Sec which mean she buff 1000 EM.
Hoyo seriously changed the game with dendro's design and mechanics, and it's awesome. Dendro has really opened many new fun and creative builds, with existing characters.
I feel like Sucrose should have definitely gotten her own spot, instead of just an honorable mention. At c6 she can now easily compete with c0 Kazuha and probably best him in buffing electro comps due to over 200 EM she can provide to the whole team just by using her abilities. Being one of the very few characters that can increase entire teams EM in this new EM-focused meta got to account for something.
Also, havent personally tried it, but couldnt Xinyan also preform the role Thoma has in burgeon comps as long as she gets her level 2 shield?
i really agree with ur sucrose opinion but for the xinyan part there’s some caveats… yes she can work , however it is extremely difficult to get her lvl 2 shield without using her burst, which applies a lot of pyro and can possibly ruin ur burgeon reactions, and her lvl 2 shield in general doesn’t have icd on its little shield bursts, meaning u can also ruin reactions..
really sucks considering i love xinyan :( but it’s not surprising knowing how much mhy ignores her lol
I don't get why you say " this new EM-focused meta " : nothing really has changed other than another element and other possibilities in teambuilding and reactions. The older ones are still there and didn't change : we have just more choice and these choices aren't that much stronger than the strong ones had
According to theory crafters kazuha is better with aggravate teams because his elem damage bonus increases the damage from aggravate and the initial attack instead of sucrose who only increases the aggravate damage
in theory, but it requires you to get her lvl 2 shield to last to trigger the most seeds as possible so you would need more def for a tankier shield but that means her reaction won't do as much dmg because you are not putting EM so she is still in the same spot wanting too much diferent stats. And even though her burst gives a maxed out shield with constelations you would still need def for it to last and now you would also need ER to burst every rotation.
You can work hard and make it work or just pick someone better suited for the role, sadly for her Thoma is better because of how his pyro application works only making him needing ER and EM.

I have been a Yae Miko defender since day one just like Kokomi. Finally, she's getting her well earned respect.
Should probably throw Hu Tao on the list for Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Yelan, Zhongli comps. That hydro resonance buff is a pretty nice increase to an already top tier team.
I LOVE this team. Insanely strong and I forgot it got buffed with the change of the hydro resonance!
As if hydro double vape and vape in general wasn't already broken as is. Where as melt gets a solid nerf to add insult to injury. XD

I’m so glad dendro not only is a neat new element, but it buffed and helped so many other units. It’s completing Kits like Yae, Fischl, and Keqing. Or just making already good units even better. Also Traveler will now be a F2P friendly Dendro applicators sure better ones will be released, but traveler free and finally good.

Nilou completely changes the property of the bloom reaction. She has her own version of dendro cores that does not trigger burgeon or hyperbloom

If you’re gonna go for Nilou then you should definitely build Dendro Traveler, plus they both have lotus based bursts so that nice.
for sure the big winners to me are Kuki and Traveller, and I'm very happy to see the protagonist actually being on the spotlight this time! for the first time I'm enjoying explore the world with Lumine!
Kuki and Thoma are equivalent winners. I use them to trigger hyperbloom and burgeon respectively with a full EM build.
I wish they sold region thematic skins for the Traveller. Lumine looks like a vanilla ice cream cone.
The real big winners are yae and specially keqing who is viable after 2 years man 😔

@@cunnyman You need better artifacts and some dodging skills. I have an 800 EM Kuki with 30k HP with 3k heals and have yet to have her die on me. I've seen streamers play with Kuki not have any issues with her and dealing healthy damage.
Good to know that Hoyoverse does care about balancing this game. They literally cleaned up a lot of question marks with this Dendro update.
Yae miko's charged attack has no ICD and its spamable with jump cancel, Insane damage !

Honestly, I would have put Lisa in the same camp as the other Electro characters you mentioned. DPS Lisa went from a niche pick for diehard fans to a monster blender that can fully abuse both Aggravate and Hyperbloom. The former because her Burst's Electro application is insane even at C0 (which gets even better at C4), and the latter because she has an EM ascension stat and is pretty good as a driver for those teams thanks to being a Catalyst user. Both EM and Crit Lisa have never felt better and she basically went from "worse than Amber"-tier to being able to somewhat compete in the modern meta which is quite a steep jump. Makes me wonder if she was planned as a character for Dendro teams from the get go.

Lmao who said she is worse than Amber pre Sumeru? That's BS. Even in meta, she is always alternative choice for support since she can use TTDS, reduce def, & proc superconduct for physical team.
As dps, she always has respectful dmg multiplier, it's her playstyle that's turn off for most player.
I think you forgot Sara. For me, she's the best attack buffer for a Quicken Team even at C0. She's an Electro so she can trigger the reaction and the duration of Quicken is almost the same as with her buff. Compare to Bennett where you need to follow a strict rotation to avoid Burning, Sara is easy to pull off in Dendro Electro teams especially at C2, C6 is just a bonus.
her buff lasts at most like 4 seconds after switching and just being human. Quicken is 10 seconds
She's not worth the slot unless c6. She doesn't apply electro that fast and the ATK buff isn't that useful since it doesn't scale aggravate or spread.

I built my Fischl and Yae after smoking some hopium, (My 2 favour characters) right before 3.0 and just got them both to lvl 90 today.
I couldn't be happier to fin them together.
The the other set in the pale flames domain( I forgot the name) made her a good Atk buffer and can still be a great sub DPS
I build my Fischl cause back in the day when we got her for free was her or Lisa… she seriously carried me til AR45 and now I’m happy to put my chuuni in the exploration team again.
finally seeing yae miko, keqing and aether/lumine being in the meta radar.
Just wanted to mention that Sucrose got pushed forward slightly more than other Anemo units, because her passive can give the team an insane amount of EM. In my Keqing, Fischl, Sucrose, Traveler comp, she easily brings their values from about a 100 to over 400.
doesn't she only share 20% of your EM? to share 300em you'd need to have 1500 em (which isn't possible) or use instructors (which isn't worth losing the 40% res shred from VV) 🤔

Her first passive increases the EM of characters based on what element she swirls.
And yea, the traveler also gives a small EM boost on top etc. I didn't do the exact math since I'm still balancing stats on the other characters, but the point is she gives more than double what my main DPS has.
I'll definetely be rolling for Yae Miko on her next rerun. Gonna make a furry team with her, Tighnari, Diona and Sucrose.

I have a c3r1 Raiden, r1 Yae and all electro units but the one I enjoyed the most with the Dendro update is C0 Kuki. With 750+EM w/4pc G.D., I'm doing like 31k hyper bloom in the artifact domain and 23k-28k in explo.
I think that mihoyo went really big brain to buff electro without buffing raiden even more

Or indeed it is biased. Logically, electro is something related to Energy Recharge. Yet, only Raiden gets benefits from that. Other electros are using EM. I think they don't have any particular idea about electro and when it's suck and effects certain character's sales, they sacrifice Dendro for EM based electro character.
Any other elements reactions we got so far never mention about creating reactions based on certain scaling. Yet, Dendro is made somehow for EM scaling.
Rather, if hoyoverse wants to make 'a balance' like the rumor, they should make Dendro buff 'electro' and not 'EM scaling electro'.
And to make it more balanced, they should provide ER scaling more to electro character than other scaling.
So, the selling point here is the kit.
If it's continue like this, I don't think there would be 'balance' in genshin, more likely 'biased' or 'unintentionally lucky'.
I wonder of the latest sumeru character released later will have complicated scaling that is made for Fontaine rather than for Sumeru itself.
Barbara actually got a huge buff this update as well. I finally decided to build her after having C3 for a while now...she's definitely way more viable with Thrilling Tales IMO

I was using a anemo, double electro, dendro traveler comp, I forget which buff I had from the widsith, but my yae's normal attacks at talent lvl 4 was doing some 15k(vv shread proc), good lord dendro has the juice
Traveler really was overdue for some limelight. I hope this trend continues in making them genuinely good units with the remaining few elements.
Ever since Shenhe released, I have been using cryoball Sayu as my second abyss team. Now with dendro, I can now make electroball Sayu with Yae, Fischl and DMC.
I'd recommend trying Collei in place of DMC. Also too bad Sayu rolls instead of runs really fast, because then we could have called that team "Run DMC".

@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat I think cuz Collei can use Elegy, and you don't also need too much dendro application for aggravate anyways. And her ult energy cost is only 60 unlike the DMC which is 80.
Although geo mc was good from the start especially with a cracked up c1 zhongli where everything is pulsing for 30k per second including mc burst who has 💯 uptime, I find it kind of clunky and annoying getting stuck on pillars or enemies getting stuck on top of your pillars. Whereas dendro mc got similar scaling without the hassles. I can’t wait to see how well dendro mc pair with dendro archon
Thoma's buff definitely shows. I just started building my Thoma on EM and with a full set of +8 artifacts, he's hitting 5 digits on his reactions! When the EM on the three EM main stat pieces goes from 91 to 187, giving him a total of 288 more EM and a total of 940 EM overall, I expect him to do even better! Not to mention if he had a bunch of constellations, which mine...very much doesn't.
By the way, at 6:39 - 6:42 he says “excellent AOE dendro applicator” for Kokomi unless he meant as in applies the ability for consistent application of hydro for dendro reactions.
Yae and Kokomi still deserve a little revamp in the QoL
Kokomi should be able too walk on water with her E skill and it should last one second longer then her skill

Yae should have a hold skill where she just unleashes 3 bolts of lightning and hits 3 enemies (or 2/1) like 3 times really quick
Less hits then just tapping but its faster
CD would just be 3 sec again

Sayu is SO slept on. She's fun to play, provides healing + mobility + elemental applications and can run VV set. Ofc she's no Kazuha but she's my go to for electro teams like taser comps and now with dendro teams.

i mostly only use her for overworld, but that's like 88% of genshin gameplay lol. im at c5 i hope i get blessed w/ one more
Very sussy leaks says that Kusanali will have a dendro veil that'll follow your character around.
So Sayu+ Kusanali+ Kuki + Kaeya/XL would be a new Sonic Team for her 🤣
Anyways, the leaks are very sussy atm, so don't put so much trust in it.
I might be the only one but I've been running a diluc burgeon team with the traveler and it feels great because of the all pyro he gets after his bursts, it works best on enemies that don't get knocked outta the travelers zone but still, it feels good
You're not the only one, burgeon works the best with diluc because of his large AOE attacks and skills. The scalling is kinda copium but somehow i managed to beat spiral abyss faster than before and i did it without bennett.
I've been using Traveller, Collei, Kokomi and Diluc and it is pretty fun to play with.

There's plenty of alternatives out there. Stringless is not fundamentally necessary to put her on a team. You can even toss a Slingshot on her if you have to and she'll still be better than most alternatives for teams you want to run her on.
@@Zeik56 I have a Rust Bow that i used on her as a main dps unit until AR45. Is this bow still good for subdps role?
@@Febonebo It's not particularly good on her, since you will basically never use her normals as a sub DPS, but if it's the only bow you have built it can work as a temporary stat stick.
The Prototype Crescent and Slingshot are better F2P bows though.
I'm so happy Yae finally gets the spotlight she deserves, she was already pretty good when she came out. But now with aggrevate and EM scaling she hits like a truck.

Actually in Fischl Yae Dendro MC Kazuha I suffer, because I'm forced to auto attack for 1-2 s.
Her field time in this team is very justified right now.

I think Sucrose deserves a spot. Before 3.0, EM was reserved only for maybe Xiangling or Hutao vapes, but now with the million of uses it has with Dendro, Sucrose's EM sharing is absolutely incredible as a booster for any dendro reaction proccing character. She basically gives an average of 200 EM to all ur party members, making them do an extra 60% damage from dendro reactions, apart from elemental damage bonus, a fair amount of grouping, energy, and viridescent buff. You can even slap the new EM set on her if u want her to go bonkers on the EM sharing.

How much em does she need ? I'm confused about who's em counts in aggravate. The electro character or the dendro character?
@@anyaaa2801 for aggravate, the Electro character's EM. The usual suggestions as of now is 300-400 or 400-500 EM to get a huge boost in aggravate. I think the character should have at least 200-300 base EM then rely on supports like for example Sucrose for additional EM.

So far, i'm having the most fun with "fridge teams" with Ganyu, Kokomi, Shenhe and Traveler.
Lisa on a Hyperbloom team with and EM build is crazy. When her burst is going and you have you Hydro and Dendo set up its almost instant death for whatever you are fighting.
The hu tao double hydro team as a whole deserves a mention due to all party members getting a buff from the hydro resonance change (with zhongli as 4th pick)
It basically just pushed a really strong team to being a little bit stronger. It's a welcome boost, since it's my most used comp for any actually challenging content, but it wouldn't really push them higher than they already are on a tier list. It's hard to really even notice the difference a lot of the time, since the team was already melting enemies. (Or vaping them, to be more precise.)
Imagine having C4 Yelan on top of it 🥳

Really glad that my expectations for dendro didn't become copium. That bit of EM scaling on Yae's kit was sus when she got released. Given how electro reactions work and even more she has crit stats for ascension and her weapon. Then there's Kuki with a bit of EM scaling, it doesn't even make sense with the current state of electro back then. With dendro, Thoma got buffed and I guess Xinyan as well? If I'm not mistaken, her shield pulsates and deals pyro right? So is she viable in burgeon? Looking forward for the Amber tier.
Me too. Yae's EM scaling was sus. I made yae party with xiangling and kokomi. It's good but you know electro and pyro just boom boom. With dendro, now I can make perfect party for Yae 😀
I mean I don't think dendro traveller's role will change that much, no matter what she's still really really good, even if new characters work better she's never going to be bad, she'll always be a great option even if she stops being BiS.
Is Miko better than Fischl as an aggrevate DPS?
Yes my Miko hits way harder than my Fischl with the same build but thats pretty expected since Yae is a 5star she’s just a little more complicated to use so it depends who you prefer.
@@Marz333 But does she do more damage overall compared to Fischl if you take into account that Oz shoots a 80% atk shot every time someone else triggers an elecro reaction? like a Keqing+Fischl combo. I would calculate it myself but it's pretty complicated without having the characters and trying them.

I was thinking of trying to make a team around Dendro traveler, but if the pattern holds Kusanali is just gonna be a better version of her.
I think traveller definitely got the biggest buff. They're completely free and accessible to everyone, so are the constellations. And the immense dendro application traveller provides is just chef's kiss
Character who scales in HP like Zhongli, Yelan, Kokomi and Hu Tao got buffed as well due to the Hydro Resonance changes from healing bonus to increase in Max HP.
I feel really lucky that two of the four limited 5-stars I have are Kokomi and Yae. I couldn't feel more prepared for Sumeru.

A lineup with Sayu is my most-used lineup right now. My Sayu/Yae/Fischl/Lumine clears dungeons in record times. And it's mobile as all hell (Yae E, Fischl Q, Sayu E covers a lot of ground). Just place Lumine Q beforehand and run in circles. So good!

i also think albedo got a lil buff if you consider him as a flex slot on dendro teams. as he cant mess up reactions (geo) and because of his em buffing passive. if you consider his off field damage he feels competitive to other supports even if his buffing abilities are smaller
Unfortunately there's very little room in dendro teams for units who are neither dendro, anemo, électro, hydro nor even shield/healer.

Another honorable mention: Hu Tao and Zhongli, who both benefit from the buff to hydro resonance when used with XQ and Yelan. Additionally, against dendro enemies like the green chicken, this team activates burgeon as well as vaporize, increasing its damage output even more.
^ THIS, all the way. Jadeplume Terrorshroom is so piss easy with this team, heck I don't even need Zhongli. The big chicken dies before it can even do anything to me.

Thoma got a massive buff tbh, before he was in an awkward spot where his shield while being the second most durable in the game, was hard to use, but now his splash art with him using kitain spear makes more sense, he is the best slot for burgeon teams, build him full em, er and whatever you can of hp in substats with the kitain spear and you have a functional shield that protects you from the dendro cores and slow pyro application that triggers burgeon when there are enough dendro cores, im really happy finally xianling is the worst option in a team
when the community realises that Raiden, Kusanali, Venti and Zhongli will likely be a meta team o-o. archons ftw amirite
I put Emblem of Severed Fate on MC with 250% ER. Her role is just to use burst. Ppl also need to be aware that MC ulty works same way as Sayu ulty. It targets enemy in zone. It does not hit all unless they are rly close together. If you want aoe dendro application you need to use Collei. Her burst has small aoe but her passive skills is not static and does decent dendro application.
The traveler got the biggest buff
Yoimiya burgeon is pretty fun, just got her from the recent rerun so I'm currently enjoying running her.

Ive never play any of the Traveler elements and I was surprised that the materials for upgrading the talents changes every level wtf. Dendro Traveler is so meta now.
I think that the only character that really will surpass the dendro traveler, at least the next few month, will be the archon. Al-Haytham looks like a he will be an on-field dps better than Tignari. And I don't think we'll have many dendro characters for a long time. Probably Baizhu (Dendro healer) and another 4 star.
The Knights of Favonius Grandmaster (who is the boss of Jean) is also Dendro user.

I'm having a lot of fun with dendro reactions, specially with bloom. I'm so glad I had build the tabibito. I put 4 piece instructor set on Lumine, and started pairing her with charcters I almost never use like Kuki. It even makes me want to pull for Kokomi to use her as the dps with Kazuha, Traveller and Kuki, but I also want to get dendro archon...so I guess I will wait and then maybe pull for Kokomi in the next rerun...u_u
why is ayato not included in the off field hydro applicators? T^T boba man has the record for the fastest erasure since op mary sue yelan came immediately after
I think it's bcoz he is a main dps and using him as burst-subdps waste his high damage potential and his burst has inconsistent hydro application. Even Childe was not mentioned which I think he's also good for Bloom team.
@@jyusatsu he is not off field applier ayato is this is why tartaglia can't be included in he "off field hydro applicator" plus having both on and off field is a bonus as someona has to drive the team.
ayato, kuki full em,dendro traveler, kazuha is maybe one of the best hyper bloom teams if your ayato is well invested as he ult at the start of the rotation so you cna keep the reaction going since the start of the rotation rather than having to set up like with xinqu, yelan and kokomi plus ayato has 18 full seconds of hydor application on a huge area and aoe, this should actually amke him the best in thsi category

You're entitled to your opinion, but calling it "feedback" is a bit of a stretch because I really can't see how his content would improve considerably if the memes and jokes were omitted. Sometimes they're actually funny, sometimes they're just puns to nod your head at. I personally can't see how cheesy jokes that last literal seconds could noticeably detract from your viewing experience. Just my opinion.
hoyoverse really did a wonderful job at making dendro the final piece of the puzzle on elemental reactions. most characters now are very fun to play! now all they have to do is improve enemy AI because right now they are all very easy to kill 😆😆
