@@mattmercad0 love it my guy. This bike was actually my first bike. If you dont try anything crazy your transition shouldnt be to different tbh. Its super responsive. Maintenance is fairly easy, I replaced the motor on mine.
I've a 2010 model. It's like two stroke. Very nimble. Very comfortable with a gel seat. Needs the valves checking at 12k with can be £800. This includes more than the valves tho. Headstock re greased plus loads of stuff. It goes like a scalded cat. I've done 300 miles in a day from England to Belgium with a Tankbag and tail pack in 32c weather with no problems. I've done 3000 miles in 4 months. Going back to a V twin as it's the engine I prefer for relaxes riding.
Im glad i found this video ive beed wanting a daytona and kind of been nervous about comfort being short im about 5 7 too and theres not much that people have talked about for shorter people
@garretthyde7728 yeah I definitely can't flat foot, normal riding is perfectly fine though, the only time I get nervous is with a passenger because I can't fully flat foot
Good video. They sound amazing. Few more tighter turns here in the UK. Only roads left like that are in Wales. These 675's are great but obviously lack a 1000cc punch. If you are down grading, don't fool yourself thinking you'll be happy on a 675. Brilliant and fun as they are you'll miss that torque.
@@dorran962 I forgot, less than 15k for sure he stoped riding it when my uncle sold his daytona. I didn't end up buying the bike I went and bought a 2021 yamaha tenere 700
How would you rate it comfort wise? I know it's a sportbike, but can it do any kind of touring? For example R6 is known for very aggressive seating position, while CBR 600 RR is known for being more comfy six hundred. I like the daytona a lot, but uncomfortable ergonomics could be deal breaker for me. I know there's the street triple too, but daytona is more powerful ;).
Hey man idk if you’re still looking at one or not but I just got one and it’s honestly amazing as far as comfort is concerned. Keep in mind it is a sport bike, so it’s comfortable in sport bike terms. There is still lean and a tucked position, but it’s much more comfortable than my 02 r1
@@gagek4083 Oh thanks. Some do say it's uncomfortable though. I wonder if street triple would be better. I have also looked into cbr600f4i since its super reliable, cheaper, has more comfortable ergos. But I still have lot of time to decide. It will be a year before I get the big A license. Until then I will ride my zxr 400 :p
@@megapet777 hya ,realistically its not a set up you could do lots of miles on,as good as it looks and rides the enjoyment is purely in that adrenaline permasmile when you push it a bit, and get tucked in ,i wouldn`t swap mine ,it feels like part of you , so if your cafe stops are more than 70 miles apart with no bends and curves !maybe its not your ideal choice,
Hey man me again, im getting used to the moto GP gears in my bike since i couldn't change them back, im am now having a problem with the bike dying/cutting off when riding and pulling in the clutch when coming to a stop, i read that it might be the clutch cable or the idle being too low? My daytona has a "power commander" do you think it might be that?
Have you had any problems with the bike running bad at high speed like it's choking??.. Also what kind of block of plates did you get for the mirrors??
No never had any problems like that, if you're having problems with it choking at high RPM its probably a ECU/Tune issue, possibly a timing issue? Never heard of the Daytona having that issue though. For the mirror, I don't have any block off plates, I have black powder coated flanged screws that I just put in the hole with nut on the backside.. looks better then a block off plate in my opinion! Thanks for your comment
Yo where you been any new vids coming out? Ever Ride a r6.. what made you turn to triumph? I'm getting a Mt07 in a couple months. The first bike I really wanted was the triumph Daytona 675r. I am mistaken or rather I misspoke.. its 10k km but that's still 6k miles. It surprised me too... if you run the correct oil (Mobil 1 4t Full synthetic racing oil) its every 10k km or once a year. I dont put 6k miles on in a year so I end up changing mine mine 4k or so. Full synthetic oil is leaps and bounds better than conventional oil. Of course I check my oil regularly throughout the year.. it just doesn't break down or get dirty like regular oil does
Ross The Boss Do it, man. The Daytona is the nicest bike I've ever ridden. I plan to get a 15+ 675R whenever I get my welding career started. I've ridden an R6, ZX6R (600 not 636), SV650S, and the Daytona. The ZX6R and R6 are faster, but the handling doesn't even compared. Along with the looks, comfort, sound, etc.
I have one question, do you think daytona 675 is more comfy to drive on the road compared to gixxer 600? I have driver 2005 GSXR 600 and i wonder how is comfort compared to this bike.
Honestly it's all rider preference in my opinion. Personally I dont like the gsxr as much because of the wider seat it has. The Daytona is really made for shorter/smaller riders. It has a very narrow seat. The riding position is very comfortable (for a sportbike) and the suspension is really good. You'll have to sit on a Daytona to get a feel for it because it is completely different than all the Japanese bikes
