It’s funny you say that as I too started stitching in the 80’s. I wonder if that’s how it was taught that way? I’m self taught with a kit from Lee Wards… maybe the directions were written for that way? Well another mystery for sure! Merry Christmas 🎄!

Loved catching up with you both! The German Dresdens are so pretty - I especially like the Santa that Molly said feels like the body was made from a matchbox. Kathy I stitch the same way as you! I use thread for beading that matches my fabric. I love you both and I wait patiently for your floss tubes. I get both of you accents. I am from SE New Mexico but I live in Wisconsin for 10 years. My daughter is still in Wisconsin. Love ❤️ you girls!!

What a delight to see you both! I was so excited when I saw your video pop up. First things first…the Gingerbread House by Victoria Samplers…..oh my gosh! I paused the video and promptly ordered the pattern. Second, the finish of the round set into the white milk glass pedestal bowl….love, love, love. Molly, would you please share a completed craft project each episode? It sounds like you work on so many crafty things, it would be fun to see some of them. The German ornaments made out of paper shown at the end of the video gave me ideas for making ornaments for the family out of our parents cards to each other. I just wanted to say that I really like your floss tube. I was wondering what happened and feared there would be no more. Your relationship is very special and your videos are very entertaining.
Kathy, I just packed my old home of 20 years for 2 people on my own, I sure could have used your help! WOW!!! What a JOB!!!! A ton of it went into the garbage, it was old and unusable, the other good stuff went to charity, and I only kept what I use on a daily or maybe seasonal basis, but very limited as we downsized. My hardest issue was finding boxes! I bought a dozen of the largest boxes a hardware store carries, but they ended up way too heavy for myself, those were left for the Movers! Yes, this time we needed movers, that part was too much physically, for me. You really do need 2 people to move things, and it's just myself as he has Parkinsons and is unable to do it. I 'thought' I was creative in some ways, but I'm certain you were far better! I wish I had your skills! I will say we are NOT moving again for another 20 years, and everything that comes into this house is now scrutinized highly! Lol! I don't want what I had at the old place! NO thanks! Lol! Some of it was a nightmare! Molly, your plans for the New Year are great! 12 projects is doable! Fun! I tend to work on one and get hyperfocused on it. I'd love to do a Sampler in January, from start to finish! I will be doing that! I am working on Strawberry Fields Forever by Blackbird Designs currently, and I only have the top and right side borders left to do, hooray!!! I want this one finished by the end of 2023 so the date shows it as this is for this new house! It's been a little tricky of a pattern, in my opinion! I've mixed up colors, the border is tricky as I haven't got a good rhythm on it still, so I've done a lot of frogging! I AM determined to finish it this week! I LOVE both of your patterns you both choose to stitch! I very much enjoy your videos, you are 2 of my faves to watch! ALL the Happy Holidays to you both!

Molly before you bead find some lightweight fusible interfacing on to the back of your piece. It stabilizes the fabric for beading. It also keeps your stitches from fraying. You can also use lightweight interfacing that you baste on. Beautiful work!
The January sampler is the Blessing Sampler and you start it Jan 1st and put your last stitch in Jan 31st….according to a flosstuber I heard talking about it last week.

I am new to your site and am really enjoying looking at the kits and patterns. Can I offer a suggestion about the glare. You might consider taking the pattern picture out of the plastic to show it. This was a wonderful first watch ‼️. I’m getting back to stitching after at least a 40 year hiatus. The floss tubes are so fun, and I have already found so many great projects, to put on a wish list. Cross stitching has changed…great designers, plethora of fabrics, and so much floss, it will be quite amazing if I get much done. I have to go back and binge on your previous programs….and the 12 at 12 sounds fun….i know I easily have12 projects ready to start🤦🏼♀️. And 24 in 24…that seems ambitious 🙄 and start and finish a sampler in January for good luck is a MUST DO 😬. I hope I can find te floss tubes that discuss all of those 😢. I had 22 this year... some larger and a bunch of smalls just in the last month for my Christmas tree and decorations. I started cross stitch in the early 70's, stopped off and on for children, life, etc. I made most for family & gifts but have some for me. Some 50 yrs old. Molly, who is the Designer of your I heard the bells on Christmas Day?? I want to stitch that, it’s amazing!!!
And did you stitch it with the called for colors???
It was in Issue 59 Dec 2010 of the Gift of Stitching Magazine. I bought the digital set of the magazines and they are loaded with beautiful patterns. Not sure where else it may be. The designer is Janie Hubble of The Cat's Whiskers Design Studio. I changed the colors from the orangish coppery color to DMC 4025 and 4045. I love the variggated blue and greens. Sorry I missed you at the Jingle Ball Molly. It would have been fun to stitch with you. Love past finishes, especially Kathy's milkglass bowl and gingerbread houses and Molly's near finish of I Heard the Bells. Those colors are gorgeous. My nightmare is that Linnie and I film and I mess up the sound of lose the video😂.

Kathy, I just packed my old home of 20 years for 2 people on my own, I sure could have used your help! WOW!!! What a JOB!!!! A ton of it went into the garbage, it was old and unusable, the other good stuff went to charity, and I only kept what I use on a daily or maybe seasonal basis, but very limited as we downsized. My hardest issue was finding boxes! I bought a dozen of the largest boxes a hardware store carries, but they ended up way too heavy for myself, those were left for the Movers! Yes, this time we needed movers, that part was too much physically, for me. You really do need 2 people to move things, and it's just myself as he has Parkinsons and is unable to do it. I 'thought' I was creative in some ways, but I'm certain you were far better! I wish I had your skills! I will say we are NOT moving again for another 20 years, and everything that comes into this house is now scrutinized highly! Lol! I don't want what I had at the old place! NO thanks! Lol! Some of it was a nightmare!
Molly, your plans for the New Year are great! 12 projects is doable! Fun! I tend to work on one and get hyperfocused on it. I'd love to do a Sampler in January, from start to finish! I will be doing that! I am working on Strawberry Fields Forever by Blackbird Designs currently, and I only have the top and right side borders left to do, hooray!!! I want this one finished by the end of 2023 so the date shows it as this is for this new house! It's been a little tricky of a pattern, in my opinion! I've mixed up colors, the border is tricky as I haven't got a good rhythm on it still, so I've done a lot of frogging! I AM determined to finish it this week!

Loved everything but really loved the cat head for scissors. I went on eBay and immediately bought one. Very same, vintage, made in England. Only $28. Some were more expensive. Thanks for showing it

Molly before you bead find some lightweight fusible interfacing on to the back of your piece. It stabilizes the fabric for beading. It also keeps your stitches from fraying. You can also use lightweight interfacing that you baste on. Beautiful work!

The January sampler is the Blessing Sampler and you start it Jan 1st and put your last stitch in Jan 31st….according to a flosstuber I heard talking about it last week.

I am new to your site and am really enjoying looking at the kits and patterns. Can I offer a suggestion about the glare. You might consider taking the pattern picture out of the plastic to show it. This was a wonderful first watch ‼️. I’m getting back to stitching after at least a 40 year hiatus. The floss tubes are so fun, and I have already found so many great projects, to put on a wish list. Cross stitching has changed…great designers, plethora of fabrics, and so much floss, it will be quite amazing if I get much done. I have to go back and binge on your previous programs….and the 12 at 12 sounds fun….i know I easily have12 projects ready to start🤦🏼♀️. And 24 in 24…that seems ambitious 🙄 and start and finish a sampler in January for good luck is a MUST DO 😬. I hope I can find te floss tubes that discuss all of those 😢. Thanks for a great flosstube for a Sunday afternoon. 💛

So many darling pieces.
I counted my finished projects after you were talking about it. I had 22 this year... some larger and a bunch of smalls just in the last month for my Christmas tree and decorations. I started cross stitch in the early 70's, stopped off and on for children, life, etc. I made most for family & gifts but have some for me. Some 50 yrs old. Things have changed so much over the years but the love of cross stitching always remains. 🎄Merry Christmas to you and your families. 🎅
