- It was a sad day on our little farm this week, when all of our ducks were attacked. For a while we couldn't find them and thought we had lost the whole flock.

Oh Poor Gracie. She is heartbroken. Sending HUGS & PRAYERS OF COMFORT for all the children..So so sad. If your dogs did do this. You have a huge problem. Once a dog gets a taste of blood they will keep killing your ducks & chickens. Farm life is very hard at times.. GOD BLESS from Julie West Central Indiana Farmland

I’m so sorry! It does happen on an open range farm. That being said if you have a dog that attacks and kills birds they won’t stop. Once they get a taste it doesn’t stop. So sorry again 😢
Yes you are right. It is a problem we will have to figure out. I hate the thought of not keeping the dogs but we may have to do something.
It's hard to deal with deatlh especially when you don't know what caused the injuries. My nephew and my sister and brother inlaw lost 2 of their chicken's due to firecrackers..the loud noises scared thrm literally to death. They were in their pen one minutes pecking at food and when the loud booms came tihey stiffened up and fell over... dead.

Wow so scary ..so I own the property next to my house and i recently put cameras because..I’m off the busy street and I wanna know who or what comes in my property

Dearest, that's a hard one to handle. If you decide the dogs are not right for your homestead, please rehome them through a reputable ASPCA shelter if possible. Second best would be good close friends with no small livestock. 🐾 Gracie must be aching. 💔

Sad about the Ducks, Gracie is having a bad week. Chris, have you thought of getting a Guard Goose, they are awesome protectors. Could it be an aerial predator? Hope it wasn't your Dogs. Get an electric fence around them and then you won't have to worry about your dogs. Hoping for a happy resolution for you all. 🦆🐍🦤

Poor babies get you some deer cameras or some get you some saddle up you know some cameras that will go off of your Wi-Fi
So sad! Sure hope it wasn't your dogs. Once they get the taste of blood it's very hard to break them of it.😣❤
