Evan, your farm has really grown this year since you retired to full time farming. Your new ram and ewes are very healthy looking and integrated themselves very well with your current flock. Thanks for sharing, y'all have a Blessed day.
I'm sorry i have not been around for a couple weeks. "helene!" Need i say more. I'm sure you heard about the North Carolina mountains wiping out towns! Well i'm 70 miles east of that. And man did we get tore up here in the foot hills. 10 days no power and no water. But I had a home to get power back on. Alot of those poor people have no homes or businesses any longer. Pray for those people please. Great video. Really enjoyed. Thanks for taking me along. From Shelby N.C. thanks!
Two things I have heard said. 1 The ram on home ground has an advantage and 2 There is always a chance that the smaller ram because of the height difference and the fact the smaller will hit on the larger ones nose, the largest may end up with a broken neck. Anyone else heard that? Great vid as always 👍
I dont do any livestock farming or hay etc but i cant wait for your videos to come out so i can watch them. I use some of your ideas from the garden and your orchard but all in all just love your channel. Keep up the good work. 👍
I had sheep for year s due to my child in 4 H your doing it right, We docked tail keeps them cleaner in the rear. Sure do enjoy each video, just down to earth Thanks
I was watching a sheep farm vid from Ireland and the farmer had a technique he uses to see which females had been bred. What he would do is paint the rams belly & when he saw color on the females he knew. Very trick. !
I used a pair of vice grips to shut off the flow on my spray rig,,,really didn't know they had those you got, I keep saying I'm gonna put ball values so I can shut off either side, anyways another great video
Awesome video Evan and Rebecca, got to use the loading chute and it worked like clock work for you. Glad you got some more animals and they settled in over night. Stay safe around there and keep up the great videos. Looking forward to see how you both like the Freeze Dryer after you process some of the veggies. Fred.
From what I have seen. If you freeze your produce first on flat trays then put in the freeze dryer it will be ready much quicker. Fruit & veggie chips are a big hit. Have fun.
Greetings from Liverpool, England, I think Mo should be renamed Usyk. He's the smallest Heavyweight Boxer, but he keeps destroying all the bigger fighters and that's why he's the Undisputed Champ
Add a couple of gate valves on your spray boom line, it would make it simple to cut off the valves you don’t want to use. Glad to see you making progress to be more self sufficient. Pray for America and Israel. God is still in control and prayer changes things!
Great Video, it's really enjoyable to watch and see things go smoothly, Even I got a headache watching heads butt, but it all smoothed out...till next time..Continued Success
Friend has a Harvest Freeze Dryer. He tried doing ice cream sandwiches. After they don't melt and still look and taste the same. Figuring on buying one myself shortly
The mesh screen filters out anything big enough to plug the nozzle. It is far better to clean the screen mesh out once a year than have a nozzle plug up and not get stuff sprayed like you wanted and needing to go back over what you did again. My father has a home made spray rig made out of a toolbar with gull-wing marker arms that can extend out and allows him to cover a 60 foot wide swath. He has a big screen mesh for the entire flow mounted on the back of the tractor to filter all of the mixture going back to the spray nozzles. It is controlled by a GPS controlled flow regulator that ensures he can put out 10 gallons an acre at any speed from 3 MPH to 9 MPH.
Cut wrap off bale before you pick it up, pick bale up and put it over feeder and then cut string, everything falls in the feeder and you dont have to deal with pulling wrap out.
That one wouldn't have a battery. They all start with chassis grounds that go back through the plug, but often they do end up going through the hitch once that wire rots off the frame.
I forgot to mention about the young bull you can purchase him in the early spring get the use for the spring, summer and early fall by fatten him up on the extra grass then sell him in the fall.
We are expecting frost/ freeze tomorrow morning at the golf course I work at. I am getting ready to mow a handful of fairways in order to get ahead for tomorrow morning. ⛳️
Hi Evan, you should remove the rams from the ewes and put them in a small area for a week or two so they can't kill each other. Your lucky you don't have a dead ram.
Now you have to find a way to dispose of all that plastic wrap. Does it make enough difference for the extra waste that can't be recycled. If all the homestead people used hay wrap we would need extra landfill. Plastic wrap is like disposing a tire at the dump.
Evan, I don’t recall the breed of sheep you’ve chosen, but if ever you are looking for another source you might check out Walker Club Lambs in Clinton, IN. I know the owner and I think you’ll find him to be a stand up fellow.
Great video, I know nothing about sheep or how to introduce them to each other. I can tell you're not a cat person, Spaz is actually a cat you could pick up under the front leg chest area instead of the nape of the neck area. Barnyard cats keeping down the mice population can be a good thing. I suspect Rebecca is behind you guys having cats, they can be useful.
Wondering if you could go into details about you sheep, rams and goats. What are your plans with growing the herd? Also, are you planning on milking the dairy cows? I just don't remember you guys taking about any of them. 🤷 Thx Evan!!
This is our first time watching me and my husband and I’m wondering what kind of sheep are those do you eat them? I’ve never eaten sheep or lamb What does it taste like?
I got a new Ram in 2014. It's only got 52,000 miles on it. 👍😜
That’s funny, I got a new Ram a couple months ago and it’s only got 56,000 miles on it, and it’s a 2007!
Hi..... Sir, Evan and Rebecca thanks you for showing your video homestead bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Evan, your farm has really grown this year since you retired to full time farming. Your new ram and ewes are very healthy looking and integrated themselves very well with your current flock. Thanks for sharing, y'all have a Blessed day.
Kind of surprised you didn't quarantine the new sheep before introducing.
Spaz is my new favorite animal. He's a daredevil!
I'm sorry i have not been around for a couple weeks. "helene!" Need i say more. I'm sure you heard about the North Carolina mountains wiping out towns! Well i'm 70 miles east of that. We have been praying for you and will continue to keep you in our prayers.
Lord, please help all those that so very much need you right now. Amen.
The way you two look at each other is priceless. Just saying. Keep it going.
na its not Even !!
Hi, Evan and Rebekah! New sheep. I am very excited for you!
Hi Evan. I so truly appreciate all your videos about your equipment and options for their use. Great channel❤❤❤
I think you guys will really like freeze drying the fruit from you trees for snacks! Also the veggies and garlic for powders.
My wife is looking forward to the freeze drying videos!!
Moe is the boss there, Curly is just a swooner not a fighter. Good luck with the sheep, it looks like they are adapting well. Have a good evening!
The freeze dryer will be a great addition for you. My wife has used ours for a couple of years now. Highly recommend them!

Oh, I miss Mom's last of the garden vegetable soup ! Sounds so good ! Thank You Evan ! GOD BLESS !!!
I love watching your videos so much l love tractor 🚜
That kitten Spaz is a pistol! Love him❤
Many thanks for sharing one more example of a great video mate
Quit an entertaining video Evan best of luck for your future endeavors.
You can see the delight on your wife's face when she looked at the new livestock. She is the animal whisperer.
Great video. Hope the new grass is growing. All the best 🇬🇧.
Great video. Your farm looks great! Thank for sharing ❤
Enjoy all the animals! 😊
Great video, hanks for the information. Enjoyed it a lot.

Yes. They are available
Very Good Video Evan.
Before you know it the population of the sheep will rise. it is a blessed animal, the sheep.
Obviously Curly is a lover, not a fighter!
WTG Moe!!!!!

Home court advantage also some temperment difference. Always glad to have your posts come up!
Great info and video,,,,,we so enjoy all your videos....Your farm looks great! Jim and Sandy in Iowa

I know that firewood shed has been waiting for you for a looong time. lol
Add a couple of hooks to your top of the bucket. It makes it's a lot easier to move trailers if you use the safety chains
Spray baby Spray. About time, Boss. An easy way to keep your place looking nice.
Friend has a Harvest Freeze Dryer. He tried doing ice cream sandwiches. After they don't melt and still look and taste the same. Figuring on buying one myself shortly

Dialect grease helps

The only time I've had to use a cattle prod was ony ram. He always wanted to try butting heads, but after 3 good pops he smartened up.
I use a little electric grease on the trailer plugs. Seems to help with the connection.
Love the names.
How does Laverne and Shirley for the new ladies sound? 😊 ❤
Trailer ground is getting ground off hitch ball , takes a little driving to get good connection. I make a ground from frame to battery on trailer.
That one wouldn't have a battery. They all start with chassis grounds that go back through the plug, but often they do end up going through the hitch once that wire rots off the frame.
Congratulations on the new sheep.
I need do same to my sprayer but I was just going put valve in the line
Great video love your videos
We lost a young ram earlier this year when he challenged the herd ram. They butted heads and he fell over legs jerking.
You will love to freeze dry your spices next year. Save yourself a lot of money that way.
Enjoyed your video as always
I must admit I was waiting for the trailer to hit the fence as you swung it out. I should have known better!
I forgot to mention about the young bull you can purchase him in the early spring get the use for the spring, summer and early fall by fatten him up on the extra grass then sell him in the fall.
You need to watch Becky @ Acres Homestead she does freeze drying or Living Traditions also good luck 👍
Came here to say the same thing! I love the Acre Homestead channel.
We are expecting frost/ freeze tomorrow morning at the golf course I work at. I am getting ready to mow a handful of fairways in order to get ahead for tomorrow morning. ⛳️
👍
Remember they changed the temperature number to about nose high so will get colder at ground level
It's not the size of the ram in fight, it's the size of the fight in the ram!
True mo is stocky while the other one is a bit on the heavy side plus mo look aggressive, too 😆 🤣
Hi guys!
Hello Evan Rebecca enjoyed your video that's a head ack lol.
Thx
I’ve been wanting to ask… haven’t seen the dogs in any videos in a long time. Are they still with you?? Can’t imagine you don’t have them anymore
Hey Evan. We miss seeing Scout and Sydney. Do you still have them?
Hi Evan, you should remove the rams from the ewes and put them in a small area for a week or two so they can't kill each other. Your lucky you don't have a dead ram.
He doesn’t have the rams in with the ewes. The boy (rams, wether, lambs) sheep are with the cows, the ewes are by themselves.
Followed by your favorite girls....because your a good source of carrots and apples.
Now you have to find a way to dispose of all that plastic wrap. Does it make enough difference for the extra waste that can't be recycled. If all the homestead people used hay wrap we would need extra landfill. Plastic wrap is like disposing a tire at the dump.
I am not a farmer but am a big fan. What are your plans for the sheep. Is it for meat, wool ?
👏🏻👏🏻
You want to learn about that freeze dryer go over to cog Hill farms 2:36
Its not the size of the ram in the fight; its the size of the fight in the ram.
I know every animal on your farm has its purpose. I must have missed what your sheep contribute to your farm or what their planned use was?
Put dielectric grease on your electrical plugs
Is the new fence line feeder going to be like Farmer Tyler Ranch feeder? Livestock can feed from 3-sides?
Evan, I don’t recall the breed of sheep you’ve chosen, but if ever you are looking for another source you might check out Walker Club Lambs in Clinton, IN. I know the owner and I think you’ll find him to be a stand up fellow.
How do like your Fimco sprayer. I am looking at purchasing one and just wondering your thoughts on them. Thanks
Would electrical grease work on your trailer plugs
Which one of the cats is the bad ass?
👍👍👍👍👍
I was Team Moe all the way! 😂
Wondering if you could go into details about you sheep, rams and goats. What are your plans with growing the herd? Also, are you planning on milking the dairy cows? I just don't remember you guys taking about any of them. 🤷 Thx Evan!!
Dairy cows won’t produce milk until they have calved. They have mentioned plans to use the milk.
I had a feeling you had some animals moving in or out I passed you yesterday afternoon in town with the livestock trailer
Don't turn your back to them, they will hurt you!
This is our first time watching me and my husband and I’m wondering what kind of sheep are those do you eat them? I’ve never eaten sheep or lamb What does it taste like?
Moe had home advantage
🦊👍🏽
