"Half whatever you want to call it." I love technical terminology! The work you've put into the boat looks amazing. You guys are doing a great job. So much closer to getting on the water. Can't wait to see you out there!
It's cool to see y'all fixin' up a boat. Makes your videos mean more. As you've said, you're a 5th generation, so fiberglass ain't nothing but a thing. I lived in Key West 30 years ago, and we had a fiberglass party fixing a dinged up hull. Appreciate that you're doing the lower budget thing. Cheers!
Wow, this turned out great. Just picked up a ‘90 Mako 22 for free but it’s been sitting unused for 10 years, outside in Northern Michigan so to put it lightly, it needs some stuff... 😆 Thanks fot the inspiration
Not removing those rod holders would have drove me crazy every time i got on the boat lol, i cut a hole to access the back side and used it as a speaker hole when i was done with mine. The taping around the console and access door in the floor was a nice touch and looks great, i used the Sea Sucker double drink holder with dry box on mine as its suction cup mounted and easy to move around or take off to use near the grill when cooking out. Its looking great and cant wait to see some fish being brought in on it, be safe out there.
i restored an old chapperal 204 fisherman a few years ago teak and all and recently bought a new center console but still wish i had just done another restore on something like that so great job keep it up .
I'm so interested in these reno vids. Cheyenne. Please keep the vids comming. I can't wait for the final product. Although, as I think about it, it'll never end. Keep living the life. 👍
Round edges are THE BOMB... Daaaaaaaayyyyyuhhmmm-nation!! KILLER JOB Cheyenne!! Congratulations on all of that hard work paying off so nicely and your new Piscatorial Plunder Vehicle being ready to go slay & fillet! Work ethic 2nd to NONE, MAD SKILLS as an Outdoorswoman Extraordinaire, Culinary Skills, you're fun & funny and-oh yeah BTW, step off the edge of the world beautiful. If you're not in that perfection realm, it don't exist, no HOW-no WAY! Enjoy ma'am, and keep on casting!
This is so much fun to follow, so cool to see some real people , using elbow grease to get to their dream. You guys are fantastic, keep sharing the videos they are awesome :)
I noticed when you were having difficulty trying to remove some rod holders, your screwdriver was not exactly a top of the line tool. Phillips head screwdriver tips wear out and in turn strip the screw heads out. Get a good brand magnetic tip screwdriver so you can use replaceable tips. When removing stubborn screws, apply heavy downward force while turning the driver and that will help tremendously. You can also tap on the end of the driver handle with a ball peen hammer as you turn the driver. Good luck on the next boat project, this boat looks amazing, love the aqua color.
Perfect for the price and I'm sure there will be more boats in you guys futures to rebuild. Had fun. That's all that really matters when it comes to projects of all types.
I just bought the same mako. Curios what size the console is? LxWxH? i like the open room on this set up and I am looking to go the same route. But i will be doing the complete restoration from stringers up over the next year. Awesome boat and keep the videos coming!
Are you working at your house or your parent's? I love how casual everything is around there....very good for the soul....low stress and just simply make a a great fishing boat that will produce some great fish out there in the Gulf.
Some of the guys I fished with for Albacore here in California would put a 30 gal plastic garbage can on board they would put water in about half way and would bleed the fish in that. It helped a lot to keep the boat clean.
Whaler use the blue for many years, then they cam out with a off tan which was not hard on your eyes and not as hot on your feet, but they all pounded your ass to death. New Whalers are not as bad. But they are narrow boats.
I had the same thought on the blue. A friend of mine had a 13’ BW with a 70 hp. It would literally jump out of the water on take off and chine out of control eventually at top speed. The transom started to crack so he bolted up 2 steel brackets for reinforcement. Dangerous boat but not too many of our friends could out run it. Good times on the water!
My ocd. Would not let me finish watching and fish in my area Would rip those rod holders right out of the boat. That should be a fun skiff . Enjoy. Aloha
Have you seen the series on Florida Sportsman dealing with boats like yours? I remember reading about a cool catamaran flats boat a guy made and then I discovered him at the boat ramp in Tampa!, that was 30 years ago. Put a wetsuit on under that and you’ll lose weight!
Oh I thought a Mako was a fish! Yeah that's right, hardware not appliances, to be a technical know it all. I'm sure you appreciate that. Are you bleaching in your bare feet? Are you pressure washing in flip flops? Oh the workman's safety board would not be impressed. Mr. know it all suggest frog tape for masking so the paint doesn't bleed under the tape and you have nice crisp lines. The cup idea is smart. Powder blue and now just a little pink for a delicate contrast!
You're very entertaining & beautiful & well-spoken Cheyenne....please tell us more about yourself.....what is your typical week like? Have a boyfriend? Do you brothers live with you or your parents?

Thank you so much! Sometimes I have to filter my language a bit😂 videos of us catching fish on it coming up this week!
@@CheyenneLeeBehrsin I have seen on Instagram but would like to know what was that big fish you caught posted a couple of days ago

Such a photogenic and amiable duo. I dare say that a television deal for the new series Flip that boat! should start up. Congratulations.
Thank you ☺️ That would be fun! We actually had such a good time doing it that we want to do more! Lol

Looks really good guys !
It looks very nice Cheyenne Lee I'm sure your going to get a lot of enjoyment out of your boat :-)

You are very good, congratulations, Cheyenne. I didn't know you were so expert on boats too 😘
You guys did awesome!!! Stay strong and many prayers!

Awesome looking job girl now let’s hurry up and get you back out on the aqua!
Y'all did a great job!! Enjoyed the video.
Thanks!
That came out really nice! Good luck.
Looks fantastic! One bite at a time! Getting there! Blessings!
Looks awesome! Would have been more then excited to help on a build like that! Have a Grady white I’m doing in setx currently !
Looks very good !
Fish blood is gonna look Marvelous on that color on the deck. lol.
I’m impressed
Had that Mako in the water a week ago.
New transom as well.
Then again, my brother is the Contender dealer in Miami.
Turning out nice. Always something more to be done on a boat it seems.
You’re telling me!
Very nice! Looks good.
Hi just wanted to know did you have to replace your fuel tank in the mako, is it possible the original tank in the boat?
Y'all got the boat looking pretty good
She cleans up nice 😆
Be fun to see the finished project.
Thanks for sharing.
love the color good job!
Thank you! I’m happy we went with that color too
Nice color!
Good job !!!
Love the color 👍
Love the color and the boat, however I was really interested in you blue sunglasses. Are they St. Pete (Salt Life)?
Caulk the edge of the blue tape - then wipe off thoroughly with a wet rag for sharp lines!
Would you have been able to use a belt sander? Palm Sanders are so slow.
Looks awesome , You guys are putting in the work :-)
I'd love to see you do some surfing Cheyenne....I'll bet you bring the entire beach to a standstill!!!!
Looks very nice! I like the colors. Waiting for the next update.
Thank you! Now to pick a color for the hull. I like the idea of white but it’s also tempting to do the same shade of blue as the deck
Cheyenne Lee I like that blue. Subtle but enough color to stand out.
Great Project ! Those CW Trees are invasive and dangerous, chop it down! lol Great paint job....As they say in da Islands..."So far, so good....."
I didn’t realize they were invasive or dangerous 😬 guess that CW will have to go
wait im allready subacribed!
That’s a lot of damn work ! Looks great tho you guys 🦅
Thank you! It was worth the long hot days!
Cheyenne Lee when all done you two will be happy & proud of it yes I’m old 57 lol
Cheyenne Lee rushing gets you no where 🦃
That boat will be a weapon. It looks really nice. When are you going to be hunting, fishing or cooking again?
Young ingenuity always works better. Great job.
Not really. Age and experience.
Haven't read all the comments but try a pump up sprayer when applying bleach.Your hands and forearm will thank you. Lol. Looking great guys.
That’s a genius idea! I detail boats too so that would come in handy!
It's definitely not the same boat! Keep up the hot but good work. (:
Looking good
Maybe next episode they cut the grass?
Someone has probably already mentioned this but you should check out boatworkstoday.
Good job soldiers
Are you working at your house or your parent's? I love how casual everything is around there....very good for the soul....low stress and just simply make a a great fishing boat that will produce some great fish out there in the Gulf.
You guys on the Gulf side or down around Jupiter?
Hey Cheyenne. Where do you get your shades?
They’re Salt Life “Samoa’s” 😎
@@CheyenneLeeBehrsin Awesome. Thanks!
you are every mans dream girl your awsome
looks good now you need a t top
Job well done,,,,,
Good video as always stay safe out there
Thanks Cameron 😁
Great job on the boat and love the color, any plans for commercial fishing with the boat? Or scuba diving?
Most likely not scuba diving but yes to commercial. Just Spanish mackerel which I’m not looking forward to now that the boats all pretty
I understand they do make a mess. But it will make for another great boat re-do paint job...lol Can’t add and price tag on fun!!
Some of the guys I fished with for Albacore here in California would put a 30 gal plastic garbage can on board they would put water in about half way and would bleed the fish in that. It helped a lot to keep the boat clean.
Damn Cheyenne, you even look good in a Tyvek suit.
What ever happened with this boat? Still fishing it? Have not seen any posts/videos as of late. Hope all is well and give an update if you have time.
If you guys rub talc powder on your skin that is exposed it will keep you from keeping so itchy and also have a cool shower afterward not hot
Patience of a saint to use a screwdriver on all that... No drill? Or worried about messing up screws that have been sprayed with saltwater for years?
What exactly is the “salt life”?
Boston Whaler blue.
Whaler use the blue for many years, then they cam out with a off tan which was not hard on your eyes and not as hot on your feet, but they all pounded your ass to death. New Whalers are not as bad. But they are narrow boats.

Any plans for a T-Top?
After the last couple days of using it YES! We are sunburnt to crisps and need some shade
Wow, boat looks great, much better! Why not paint the hull, you can roll it and still look great.
We plan on eventually painting it but first I need to learn to load it on the trailer a little better so I don’t chip up the new paint 😅
😊
sweet still have it ??
The 50/50 rule. 50 feet away at 50 MPH it looks great!
I commented too soon... way better than 50/50
That rule is perfect ! Lol
I need a new cup holder n such. See ya in the stream like 2020.
3:20 that is going to take forever with that sander... And poor results likely. Nice color!
My ocd. Would not let me finish watching and fish in my area Would rip those rod holders right out of the boat.
That should be a fun skiff .
Enjoy.
Aloha
What about the T-Top guy's you got to have a nice t-Top
Sea Dek, What ?
Make sure not to paint over waxed gelcoat. The first coat shouldnt have wax or the final coat will peel off.
Great tip! Noted. Thank you!
Still wearing flip flops. LOL
Never pressure wash without wearing leather shoes or boots. Good way to lose a toe or damage the skin.
Good call fire Marshall bill

That's if it doesn't keep raining.
True!
