After a few hiccups that delayed be a couple days I finally get out on the tracks and wow what an amazing place. In this video I explore the Old Dunstan Trail in Otago.

Hey mate, loving your South Island adventures, I've got myself a 4wd and am looking to put a tent on the roof and get out there. A quick question - at 15:11 where you approached the lake, is it against any laws to stop my truck a few meters off the track close to the lake and set up my tent for the night?

It's not a designated camping area or anything but I'm sure it would be fine as long as you respect the place. It's the kind of place I'd probably camp myself.
