Great video 👍. You should do a follow-up video in a couple of weeks because if I remember correctly, CRC claims that it continues to break down the carbon deposits for a couple of weeks after the treatment.
Not sure how it can keep working after treatment, but will definitely look into it. Going to do another treatment in a few thousand miles and do a follow up video. Being careful not to overload my catalytic converter. Thanks for watching!
@ I don’t know either, but I’ve watched quite a few treatment videos (maybe someone here can correct me) but I can’t recall anyone doing a follow-up. I’ll be watching for your next treatment video 👍
I don't work on cars and I'm not a car enthusiast but recently found out about the CRC and Redline through videos like this. I have a 2018 Sonata that I thought was dual port and found out it is GDI only, it has about 28,000 miles and I plan on using the CRC on it to clean the intake valves. Something to think about with dual port injection is possibly using Redline as well as it seems to work as good as CRC but you put it into the gas tank. I saw a video from someone on TH-cam that used Redline kind of back to back on a high mileage car and it really cleaned the piston area. I think it was a bit extreme the way he used it but he was trying to see if it would work; once clean using it every 5,000 miles or so may keep the carbon a bay. I could be wrong but using top tier gas mostly and CRC and Reline every so often may be beneficial in keeping carbon deposits off everything. At this point I haven't seen any oil change places advertising using the Valvoline Restore and Protect for an option.
From what I’ve seen tearing down new GDI engine’s is excessive carbon on lower mileage engines. Top tier fuel doesn’t keep the valves clean. A two prong approach or even three depending on the way you drive. Cleaning through the intake is a must, fuel tank cleaners help, but don’t do the whole job. The ease of using CRC really makes it a no brainer. Using Valvoline Restore and Protect completes the preventive package to insure these new engines run a long time. Thanks for watching!
@@Fix-it-tonyI respectfully disagree. Top tier gasoline along with oil changes every 5k miles and spark plugs and PCv valve at 50k miles and these engines are clean!! Ever seen a racing engine run on methanol? Spotless 😂 3rd generation mechanic and engine builder.
@@Fix-it-tony Cool! The multi electrode plugs are a trade-off... My car came with them stock. However, they tend to restrict the flame kernal for reliability. The PSPE version puts the flame right where it needs to be without restriction. That in itself gives it the reliability over the older multi electrode design.
Showing the before and after of the valve inside the intake port would have been more helpful. I think that's the main use case for this product on GDI engines.
Couldn’t get a clean video, but this engine was clean on the inside. Its issue was with excessive carbon in the combustion chamber which also cleans. Thanks for watching!
Will be doing a following in a few months. Just put a starter in the car last night which requires removing the exhaust manifold. The ports are definitely cleaner and the cat looks good. Will include that picture in my next video. Thanks for watching!
@@Fix-it-tony I have been using that product for years, great product. Also; get the MAP sensor cleaner to complete the clean up. Its from the same brand. Good video!
Legal departments, 2k rom is too low with this stuff engine keeps dying. Worked just fine at 3500, as long has your engine doesn’t have an overheating problem should be just fine. Thanks for watching!
This isn't necessary nor does it work very well. Just change the oil synthetic every 5k miles with the filter, use tier 1 gasoline, replace the PCV valve and Spark plugs every 50k miles and you will be good!! 3rd generation mechanic and engine builder.
Not sure you understand the issue with direct injection engine. No fuel being sprayed on the intake valves leaves no way to clean them. All direct injection engines require a chemical or mechanical cleaning. Thanks for watching!
Unfortunately, Valvoline R&P is not available anywhere in Europe, I would have to import it, and the customs duties alone make it uneconomical. Now the question is why Valvoline doesn't offer this in Europe, there is a big market here. Are you playing guinea pigs for Valvoline? I can't imagine. This can only have to do with the European manufacturers who don't want the product here in Europe. I want to try it, but I can't get to it.
Nice video.
Thanks for watching!

You may want to consider NGK Ruthenium PSPE or DFE plugs. The PSPEs are the best performance gain I've ever done that I can actually see and feel
Will check them out, these are the NGK laser, always worked well. Thanks for watching!

one is for turbos the other is for NA... i forget which is which tho.
What do you use to plug the service hole you created in-between services?
I use this, cheap on amazon.

You have to run the car for few days then check the chamber again, you will see a difference

Depends how much / thick the carbon built up.
There was a lot of carbon in this combustion chamber. Thanks for watching!
The can says 2000 rpm, do not exceed 3500 rpm. Why do "experts " always ignore the label instructions?

You could have done anything there to show us the result.
But without actually showing it, it is ineffective.
I did the before and after, carbon was drastically reduced, took a second off the 0-60. Thanks for watching!
