Just started playing a few months ago I love the information, very helpful with my progress! The only problem is I wish I had found your TH-cam channel sooner!
One thing I will say is blue cp foresight is great, “after drinking a potion, your mag and stam healing abilities are reduced by 75% for 6 seconds.” If running 1 mag heal and 1 stam heal as you should. Vigor/runemend and coag, healthy offering, dark cloak, resistant flesh, honour the dead, polar winds, budding seeds etc. All for 1/4 the cost to pair with 30% mag health and stam recovery from drinking potions. With alchemy medicinal use passive. Great on all classes with mag cost reduction glyphs. Argonian, potion cooldown glyphs on jewellery even better.
Not gonna lie i was skeptical but decided to be fair by watching the video. I think you are cooking here. I think Drake's Rush is slept on in dungeons. Also, Arcanist giving minor courage + all minor recoveries really opens the set options. Rip yoln. Arch Druid as the monster helm seems like the play over spaulder in dungeons. This guide is legit
Regarding Vestments of Olorime as the alternate five piece set, how large is the "Circle of Might" that appears on the ground, and what does it look like?
It's a golden circle on the ground so it is pretty clear to see and probably like a 4-6m radius, you need to be in combat to be able to place it/proc it so that you can see it and it's also possible to "throw it" with an AOE like Caltrops
@@TheTankClub Thank you for the reply. I went with VoO originally because I had all the pieces for the build. Bought what I was missing from Powerful Aasault since, and now almost have both ready for use. Build is solid, just did Veteran HM pledges yesterday and it performed flawlessly.
Damm, so much info. I was searching for best guide for dk and I think I found one. Thanks for sharing this information I found a lot of good stuff in it. Maybe you could recommend some sites where I can find more info for tanks? Love y❤
Been using your suggestions from your trial tank video, amen you made a dungeon video now, thanks G ❤, I do have a question tho, would the tank set from sunspire, ebon and lord warden be a good tank build for a nord dragonknight for trials and dungeons ?
Thanks for the comment 🙂 ○ Nord Dragonknight is good for trials + dungeons ○ Those gearsets are a bit outdated for the current game but would be better than more selfish options. ○ Sunspire set (Yolnahkriin) - in trials it can still be useful if you don't have an Arcanist using Zenas and in dungeons it's a fairly weak buff compared to the sets mentioned in this video. ○ Ebon is a really old set now - it kind of became a bit redundant about 2-3 years ago when they buffed up the minimum stats of all characters, it's better than using a selfish set but I would try to replace it ASAP. Turning Tide, Saxhleel Champion and Pearlescent Ward would be good replacements. ○ Lord Warden is fine if you need the resistances, there are more useful sets but again it's not the worst. Do check that you are not over the resistance cap with it though (33.1k) as I feel like a Nord DK would likely be over when it procs, at which point it's doing nothing for you. Tremorscale could be a good replacement.
@@TheTankClub appreciate the reply, I've been a dps my entire time with eso (8yrs) and there's been a lack of tanks so I'm making one currently. And no one on YT seems to post builds for tanking so I'm glad to have found ur channel lol. And ok noted, thanks for the tips an keep doing what ur doing
You do what I can not. Kudos! I watch'm all & learn new things always! Just a couple super- minor notes on potions. 1. Appears you've shown potions without the Alchemy Medicinal Use passive (+30% duration) as the durations are shorter than optimal. 2. There are several ingredient combos that produce level 150 Essence of Health where all 3 buff sections are identical (38.6s in your screenshot). Only the (correctly cited) "Bugloss, Columbine, Mountain Flower" combo produces Essence w/52.8s of +Max Health & Fortitude (and 47.6s for the rest). Does it matter for something with a 45s cooldown? Heck yeah, if I forget to refresh on account'a panic 🤪 (Your mileage may vary according to skill!)
Hello, thanks for commenting! It can be replaced by any Arcanist using the skill Zenas' Empowering Disk, and in comparison to other sets its now dropped down to be one of the weaker sets. You can still use it however, it's just not as good as multiple other options.
As someone who's only tanked on dragon knight it's kinda slow and not every flashy fun, how do the necro and arcanist play compared? Are they more fun/solo friendly for questing. DK was slow AF for clearing quest bosses
Arcanist will definitely fill the flashy & fun criteria, and with just a few skill changes you can go from Tank to Tanky Damage dealer especially if you try something like this build: th-cam.com/video/NDQ2m-UbUds/w-d-xo.htmlsi=l8QHID6pv-cnffeV
The website is updated relating to this particular guide/build: thetankclub.com/eso-dungeon-tank-build/ The other stuff I am leaving until the chapter DLC as that's where we are likely to see the most changes. Didn't want to waste time updating everything only to change it when Scribing arrives 😅
I started playing again last week on pc as a healer with my friend that is gonna dps dragonknight cuz he is like super new. My question is...would it be wiser to pick up arcanist tank instead of my new arcanist healer interms of having a smooth playthrough with him. Cuz i know people are being d1ckbags and queing for healer and tanks as dps for fast queues. Mostly to get a vet perspective on that.
Welcome back! Taking the Tank role will give you a lot more control and allow you to protect your friend better and you're also able to offer a bit of healing if needed with the Arcanists skills so I would think that would be more valuable than going healing in that situation
Once again, you nailed it! There are not many changes for my HealthSorc. I still hate & will never use pets. Bound & Ward is even stronger now, with DD & the puncturing set is good enough for me (also vigor). 💪🏻
Some of the builds on this are different from the ones on your website (The Necro I think but not 100% sure because it says they were updated in 2023) do you recommend following this one or the websites one? Otherwise awesome video and as someone that has 1 week in the game it just changed the whole game for me and I really cant wait to tank some end game dungeons! :D
The website has a “dungeon tank build” page which includes this info here but each class has a page which I won’t be working on until Gold Road just because it takes a ton of time and scribing is on the way soon 🙂
I don't agree with your assessment of nightblade. Of all the tanks, the nightblade has the highest healing and sustain. It's so high, you don't need heals as most dungeon mechanics won't be able to kill you save the one-shots. The group benefit is your healer doesn't have to focus on you, it can heal your dps or themselves. Overall, increasing the entire survival coefficient of the group. No other tank can compete with that. Crimson Oath and a strong healing set+monster set means youre actively debuffing all enemies on CO's CD and the siphon Ulti synergy, you've increased the utility of the group in ways none of the other classes can. Not the best slant to take on the class, it's super inaccurate. Does it make it better? Idk, but, it deserves more than what you gave it man.
Tired of fake tanks and healers so I figured i'd do it myself. Not sure which one to choose, but a tank looks like it'd work nicely for starters. How would a warden tank built with this build in mind perform outside of dungeons? I don't exactly want to make 2 different builds and visit my armory every time I want to do something. Edit: jeez arcanists are basically overtuned
So generally Wardens are not super commonly used as Tanks nowadays. They do decent in dungeons, in Arenas they are great because of the Frozen Device skill and for trial content they can be used but rarely are just because of the superiority of DK, Arc, Necro and Sorc
@TheTankClub yeah😅. I want to tank trials, but i definelty need some sets to farm beforehand. Which sets would I be required to have before joining a trial prog?
Are these Alliance skill chains vital? I absolutely dread PVP content. If that's what it takes to level an effective tank char, I'd rather play something else.
There are no alliance based chains. The ones I use are Unrelenting Grip on a DK which is a class skill, and Silver Leash which is a Fighters Guild skill. On the way next patch (Gold Road) will be scribing which has even better chaining options.
@@TheTankClub Thanks for the response, I meant the Alliance skills like War Horn, requiring Alliance points. I got it done in the meantime by following a Zerg around. Strange decision, gating participation in PVE content behind this PVP stuff.
I get you, it can be frustrating especially for new players and when using multiple characters. It's been this way for forever also, I guess one argument for it would be PvP players need to do PvE content for their gear/monster sets/mythics
@@archangel44625 "Best" -For who? I've mained a nightblade tank for 4 years now and this is where I'm confident. To me NB tanking fits like a glove. But I try out other classes as well. I'm doing very well on warden. My Necro tank was a big struggle to get working, but works fine now with a 10s rotation(yes on a tank). Sorc tank is easy. DK tank I don't like as you have to spec too much into health to make it work well. Templar is strong as well. My Arcanist has just levelled to 50 and did mayhem really well. i'm leveling an arcanist tank, it's my first tank, would you recommend slotting dps CP and speccing into stamina at least until 50?
Yes, you pretty much always want to start with dps for leveling. You’ll than use your second army slot and respec scrolls to do the tank set up.
