- The Wii in 2023 is the definition of that games isn't only about graphics, but the joy it brings while playing all its wonderful games. Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii & Smash Bros Brawl are some great examples of the Wii's game library, and It's truly an astonishing experience to play these games with friends and family, still to this day! Also, if you want to play Wii games but you don't own a Wii, don't worry as it's easy to play Wii games on your PC via an emulator.

At my high school, I have a mini tv, a wii, and a wii fit board all in my band room tuba locker. It’s got all the Wii games we could ever want on a 100 gigabyte usb stick 🤩

God I remember watching the commercial, on Cartoon Network, and I was I like, that looks cool, so I ask my dad, if I could have the wii, and he said, “if I do well in school, then I could have the console”, so I did what could, so then after that, I was just fast asleep, the next morning I woke, the wii was just sitting right next to me in bed, and I was all happy for it, I set it up, played wii sports, and it kicked ass. So I thanked my dad for buying me the wii, greatest nostalgia ever.

One of my friends sold me their Wii for $5. It was basically brand new. The Wii he sold me was barely used. Also, my Wii gets lots of attention as on thanksgiving day my entire family played bowling together and it was a blast.

It just dawned on me this week that I need to get another wii. I never bought another one after mines got stolen in 2011 and honestly, I like it more than the switch. My nephew also probably has no idea what it is and I think it"s a fun experience for kids. I will be getting one as soon as I can.
Found one today at Goodwill, picked it up so fast haha. Goes right next to my Switch in the living room

This is why I bought a used Wii U, you can play the classic Wii games and the Wii U games with a single unit. Between those two generations of consoles, there are plenty of games for family fun. You can hack it too providing a similar experience as Dolphin without the compatibility frustrations.
Not to mention the Wii U has an hdmi port so you can bring the Wii experience to modern televisions

I’ve still got my Wii that we got for Christmas back in 2009. Still works perfectly and has never had any real issues.
To me, the best way to start playing Wii, is to play all the Wii series game( its depends on everyone😊) like Wii sports, Wii party and many more. This is not a popular game but my favorite WIi game is Wii fishing resort😎. Wii should be popular again

I got one at the Value Village for 15 bucks with all the controllers and wheels and cords and sensors etc. Took it home, softmodded it, put lots of emulators and roms. Lots of Gamecube stuff and Wii as well. Worked perfectly, but eventually I got tired of being tethered to those Wii remotes and started emulating on handheld devices intstead.
Are you by any chance using a 2DS or a 3DS? I'm considering to get the New 2DS or any 3DS model. I was wondering if they can be enjoyable as of today, or if the Switch was the nail in the coffin.

3:18 Not all Wiis are backwards compatible. Family edition Wiis are the ones that are a striped down version of a regular Wii.
I found a black gamecube-compatible Wii in my grandma's closet and I've been enjoying a lot of Wii Sports lately
I know in all the nursing homes, psychiatric care facilities, prisons, and so many places where people were essentially trapped and bored.
Still to this day.
It sucks that switch didn't make the joy cons more like that, then they could re-release old wii games now hd.
Plus, it's the same for the touch screen on ds/3ds. On switch but never utilized.
So who knows, maybe the future.
Meanwhile, people in those trapped places have no new stuff coming in.
Plus, all that old hardware with extreme use from tons of strangers who don't necessarily always go through a lot of effort to make sure they stay in perfect condition.

dolphin is such a great program. Im just waiting for the ability to boot directly into the wii menu and to set wbfs files as channels. that would be perfect.
I just got a nintendo wii and I love it.
I still have my Wii but I use my Wii U to play my Wii games. It puts it in hd so it looks better.

What website is that where it had used options for around $20? Any suggestions in general on where to find a cheap used one?
I used a site called Tradera (Mostly made for Scandinavia and parts of the EU). If you can’t use that, I would recommend checking Facebook Marketplace, eBay and local second hand shops/pawnshops. Those are my recommendations but there are others as well. Hope this helps 😃
The Wii is the best console to own if you care even a little bit about Nintendo games. Even unmodded, the thing is a beast.

I played new super mario bros wii and cars 1 on the wii! It was fun but over the years my wii broke and the disc couldn't be read and it was slower. I eventually sold it 😢😢
