I like them both. Syreeta didn't get the recognition of a singer-songwriter. But I loved her voice. And BB I attended every concert him and Bobby Bland did. Those were the days.
@@UniversalMind-10 well Syreeta who was Stevie first wife help him to write most of his albums. The BB/ Bobby Blue Bland concert was held in auditoriums where you could bring you own food and drink. And the tables were long so you had people that didn't know each other sharing food and drink. And BB/Bobby would play for 4 hrs non stop. Would talk to the audience. I think the most I paid for a ticket was $25. Stevie Wonder, BB/Bobby and WAR were the best concerts I went to. Except for EWF, they were totally different.
First off r.i.p. Mr. King and Syreeta. Secondly Syreeta's debut is WILD. Its such a pretty album. Spinnin' is one of the best endings to an album EVER. And in my opinion one of Stevies best works. Its had a huge impact on me and how I compose my own music. Thank you again Uncle Reel for doing what you do. And to answer the question... uhhh... I cant choose lol. They're both awesome.
I'm country and raised in Memphis Tennessee with a dad from Indianola Mississippi where BB King originated. BB Kings version is the one I'm most familiar with and love but it's all beautiful and black which I further appreciate.
B. B. King was my dad's favorite artist and I'm very, very familiar with his style, pace, mucisianship, etc., make a long story short, King did it best.
Both versions are great. One is a woman's expression of love for her man and one is a man's expression of love for his woman. I enjoy them both. How I'm feeling determine who's version I play.

The first version definitely , but I suspect it was the combination of Syreeta voice , the composition done in an upbeat tempo her and Steve’s voice , the guitar and the blues influence is what made this first version so very perfect to me . B1 . Amin and Shalom .
...I think that I nearly forgot that BB King covered this song that Syreeta and Stevie wrote...the opening lyric bothers me, I like how BB King tried to better the lyric...King try's to clarify frankly a poor lyric...the song is basically focused on the music...both works really are about the music and not the lyric...the words..people were applauding Stevie back then in those years right there...I'm glad that BB King...applauded a song that Stevie Wonder wrote with Syreeta Wright, Stevie Wonders first wife who he, Stevie Wonder cheated on, and wrote some very beautiful songs with...
