Dionne Warwick hands down by far song Alfie much better for me anyway. She's one of my favorite singers of all time. But I do like Ron Isley he's a brilliant artist.
Ms. Warwick is the version, I will love.💖 I remember hearing this as a child. My father really liked Ms.Warwick. Hearing her version reminds me of home. Those instrumentals were lovely as well.
Dionne Warwick killed this song. No one has done it better yet. I just saw her interviewed on CBS' "Sunday Morning" last weekend. Her name is Warrick but a typo on her first release introduced her to the world as Warwick. The label decided it was cheaper to change her professional name than correct the typo.
Dionne version sounds like a ballot, when Ronald Isley version he is singing to you (personal), Stevie Wonder version sounds Jazzier and Don Shirley sounds more like a musical composition. but, I like all four versions.
Dionne's version blew me away! Wow! Ron Isley surprised me, not that he could sing because his voice is legendary, but to take this on and nail it! I actually have Stevie last in this one.
I've heard Nancy Wilson, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Sarah Vaughn, Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Ron Isley and the Delfonics' versions and with zero hesitation, I say to you that....This song belongs to the one and only....Dionne Warwick!! So pure!
I never knew about Isley’s or Shirley’s covers, but Stevie’s (or more accurately, Eivets’) was all I knew until Dionne’s years later. I like them all, but that harmonica of Stevie’s really killed this one for me, especially coming out of the third verse toward the end.
I think I basically liked the songs in the same order you played them: 1. Dionne Warwick ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2. Ron Isley ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3. Was #3 Stevie? It was very good as an instrumental ⭐⭐⭐1/2 The last one was OK, but my least favorite. This was fun, thanx! Great choice song, btw. 😁
I think I recall Bacharach in an interview, talking about the difficulty of singing this song well, but that for Dionne it was a breeze. I would have never thought that "Isley meets Bacharach" could be a thing. This song belongs to Ms. Warwick.
When did THIS happen and how did i miss it??? i left my laptop running and when i came back, it was on ReelBlack's channel and Ron Isley was singing "Alfie". i was SO confused. Dionne is the one of course.
the greeeaatest version is this one: th-cam.com/video/Dhss7mnRKyk/w-d-xo.html by Miss Khan, live tribute to Dionne on a talk show in the 1990's... Dionne gives her a nod as Chaka delivers as only Chaka can! Check out the bands surprise reaction to her at the end. She was just stopping by the show...
Vocally Dionne did it better. Instrumental, Stevie Wonder. I appreciated Don Shirley's input. It lacked emotion to me. I wonder if the album art for Don Shirley is recent? The vehicle looks like the car featured in "green book."
I am sorry but the track sung by Ms. Warwick has been remastered. It is grounding out my brains electron-magnetic memory from the Sixties when I first heard Ms. Warwick sing Alfie.
Don Shirley of Green Book fame? Both are fine remakes -we even know Bacharach cowrote the hit-but Dionne got this! Hey is there a Dionne, Aretha I Say a Little Prayer. That’ll be tough.
Dionne Warwick is the best in my opinion. That's the one the brings out great memories!!!
I'm gonna go with Dionne Warwick on this one. her voice was young and the orchestra was smokin!
Dionne Warrick is #1
But all versions are Beautiful
Dionne, hands down.

2019'! 1967' Just merely 3yrs. of age😅, Lengdary Dionne Warwick💕 version is one that I like the Best 🎶Alfie🎶!! Thanks for Sharing!!
Classic timelessness they're legends of a time when music was real music
Sir , you are a gentleman of refined taste.😎
#QueenieNaja I agree with your statement
Dionne ❤️

Ms. Dionne Warwick 's version is incomparable.
EXACTLY.
I have always loved Dionne Warwick's Alfie. I haven't heard Ron Isley's version of it before but, it was nice . The two instrumentals were okay.
I think Dionne Warrick did it the best!
Dionne!!!!!!!
Ron's version is nice, but this is Dionne's finest. She's got MY vote.
Dionne Warwick hands down! I cosign Bruce Big DaddyWayne's sentiment "...her voice is young and the orchestra is smokin' "
Ms. Dionne for vocals, instrumental wow both are great
Only Dionne Warwick..no question
ALL!! WERE SPECTACULAR!!! ALL COULD FIT!! ME!! DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF MOOD! IM I HAPPEN TO BE IN!! ALL FANTASTIC!!! WONDERFULL! CHOICES!!!#2020!!
All the versions are beautiful 😉
Dionne Warwick
Dionne. Of course!!!!
They all have things I appreciate.....
Dionne version sounds like a ballot, when Ronald Isley version he is singing to you (personal), Stevie Wonder version sounds Jazzier and Don Shirley sounds more like a musical composition. but, I like all four versions.
Thanks all are great 😎🌹
Dionne of course.
Dionne
Dang on Dionne. I mean just dang it to heck Dionne.
Dionne Warwick Without A Doubt ‼‼✔
Dionne Warwick hands down.
Don Shirley did a beautiful rendition but I'm going to have to go with Dionne Warwick.
definitely Dionne Warwick is the best version, the're all good but Dionne's version was the big hit. the word amazing is too short for her.
Stevie tore this up...Don Shirley ....Tie between Dionne/Ron....Loved them all.
Dione and I will
Ron Isley makes me shiver, but Dionne Warwick I love since always and will do, this song is hers
Dionne's version blew me away! Wow! Ron Isley surprised me, not that he could sing because his voice is legendary, but to take this on and nail it!
I actually have Stevie last in this one.
Ron isley showed he could really sing on this track!! But stevie wonder brought it for sure!! I luv them all!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I like Dionne, naw I LOVE her. 💓❤💗💗😍😎
Dionne,Ron Isley,Stevie is a brilliant musician.Don shirley.
So pure!
DI-IONNE. HER VOICE is THAT ERA.
SAUDADES,,SAUDADES, SAUDADES TEMPO QUE NÃO VOLTAM MAIS EPOCA DE OURO..
Dee Dee Warwick also this.
I don't even have to listen: Ms. Dionne Warwick who is: One of my Top Ten all time Female Singers. Actually, Ms. Warwick is in my Top Three.
I like Ron and Bert’s rendition. Then Don Shirley ❤️✊🏾
I never knew about Isley’s or Shirley’s covers, but Stevie’s (or more accurately, Eivets’) was all I knew until Dionne’s years later. I like them all, but that harmonica of Stevie’s really killed this one for me, especially coming out of the third verse toward the end.
Stevie Wonder by a hair over Dionne Warwick. The harmonic takes me there
Listening, once I read Ronald Isley of the Isley Brothers and Stevie Wonder. Don Shirley.....I've heard the name before.
I GOT TO GO WITH DIONNE👍👍👍🎶🎤🎶🎤🎶
Dionne hands down on this, her signature song 😀
I think I basically liked the songs in the same order you played them:
1. Dionne Warwick ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2. Ron Isley ⭐⭐⭐⭐
3. Was #3 Stevie? It was very good as an instrumental ⭐⭐⭐1/2
The last one was OK, but my least favorite.
This was fun, thanx! Great choice song, btw. 😁
Aaaahhhh....such good taste! I would add the DELFONICS version to this classic line up.
the b side of break your promise and their version of the shadow of your smile was good too
I think I recall Bacharach in an interview, talking about the difficulty of singing this song well, but that for Dionne it was a breeze. I would have never thought that "Isley meets Bacharach" could be a thing. This song belongs to Ms. Warwick.
Oh my gosh, you need to hear Dee Dee Warwick's version of Alfie as well.
Dionne...The Delfonics recorded a decent version
Dionne Warwick and then Stevie Wonder how did his self
Mr Bigg you have to take the L on this I’m not a big Dionne fan but she nailed this song.
Ok you got me again Mr. Big just put some stank on it ♥️
When did THIS happen and how did i miss it??? i left my laptop running and when i came back, it was on ReelBlack's channel and Ron Isley was singing "Alfie". i was SO confused.

Hands down Steve Wonder

I can't quit playing this....How old was Stevie when he recorded this?
He was only 17.
@@creswellformey7654 Thank You.
I am sorry but the track sung by Ms. Warwick has been remastered. It is grounding out my brains electron-magnetic memory from the Sixties when I first heard Ms. Warwick sing Alfie.
All i knew was Dions from the movie Alfi.hers was better.
Don Shirley
Don Shirley of Green Book fame? Both are fine remakes -we even know Bacharach cowrote the hit-but Dionne got this! Hey is there a Dionne, Aretha I Say a Little Prayer. That’ll be tough.
Carmen McRae did it best!
“Alfie” has always belonged to Dionne Warwick and Burt Baccarat
I liked the Eivets instrumental version BEST than Dionne Warwick
Dionne Warwick's version sounds like a 1970's, sad Sunday morning walk of shame, background music.
Why didn't you include Cilla Black? She's also a Black person....
DELFONICS WILLIAM HART DID IT THE BEST
STOP IT- THE DIE WAS CAST WHEN MISS WARWICK SINGS "HER "SONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joss Stone did an amazing version as well
Dionne Warwick
Dionne
