How to download videos to your computer | YouTube, TikTok, FaceBook, Vimeo, and more!

- Learn how to download videos to your computer from TH-cam, TikTok, Vimeo, FaceBook and more. I'll show you how use a free program called "4K Video Downloader" and you will hardly believe how easy it is! This program is great for video creators who need to download a high quality video so they can use it in their own production. (Fair use policy, of course!)
At times, I've wanted to download a video to watch it later or I've wanted to save it onto my computer's hard drive to make sure I'll have it forever. Other times I've needed to extract clips from TH-cam videos to integrate them into a video of my own.
This program can also extract the audio of an online video and save it as an .MP3 music file. That can be an awesome way to build up your .MP3 library, but please be respectful of the music copyright laws.
I hope you enjoy this video and get a lot of value from this program. So far, I've been able to do everything I wanted to do using the free unlicensed version.

Ahhh, a cat dancing on the keyboard can take you to some interesting places on the Internet -- LOL!! The 4K Video Downloader program is an "easy" way that I've found to save a TH-cam video to your PC's hard drive for later viewing. The installation procedure has changed a little since my video was created but it is mostly the same. I believe the free version of the program allows you to download up to 10 videos per day before it cuts you off for the day. That's more than most people need. There might be some other Tutorial videos on TH-cam about how to use the program if you still wanting the figure it out. Have a great day! -- Jason :)

its a free trial u got too pay after a while
So far I’ve used it for years and never had to pay anything. They limit you to 50 downloads per day, which is more than you’ll ever use. Cheers - Jason

What was the website the video was posted on? TH-cam, FaceBook, Instagram, etc? And what part of the process did it get stuck on?
@@JasonBagnell - you are so kind to answer. Firstly I'm very mature! I uploaded but after I'd 'copied' the TH-cam vid I couldn't find the area to 'paste'. It's probably me as I''m not very technically - minded. Thank you Bill
No problem! I just reinstalled the program and saw that the company has made some BIG changes after I made the video. Once you've copied the TH-cam video's URL at the top of the page, go back to the 4K Video Downloader program and click on the green "Paste Link" button. A page will open that asks you to define the parameters of what you're looking to download, i.e. do you want a HD 1080p MP4 video file (with audio) or do you only want to strip the audio from the video and save it as a normal quality MP3 audio-only file.
You can tell the program to save the new file on your desktop screen by clicking on the little Folder icon on the bottom of that same window. Your computer's file system will pop up and you can click once on "Desktop" in the left-side column. That same screen will also show you what the file's name will be and you can change it if you want to. Click the Save button and then click the green Download button. The program will start downloading the file to your Desktop screen. Once it's finished, you can close the program and you'll see the video (or audio) file on your desktop screen. Whew! -- It's a little technical but that program lets you do what many other people can't. Have a great weekend! -- Jason
