- This is my solo bike backing trip from Whitehaven to South Shields, following the Hadrians Cycleway.
*Part 1 and 2 already uploaded , this is just them put together as one video. As some people prefer watching one longer video , so feel free to skip it.*

HAS ANYBODY ELSE NOTED THAT THIS GUY RE-POSTS HIS ORIGINAL VIDEOS REGULARLY. I ASSUME THIS IS TO GAIN EXTRA REVENUE WITH NO EXTRA EFFORT ON HIS PART.
No need to shout , so if you would care to read the description. I do my trips in either 2 or 3 days so make the same in episodes as this is much easier to edit . Then a few weeks later I make into one longer full video.
Some people prefer shorter videos and some longer .
I hope this clears up the confusion. I do say “feel free to skip” in the description , so skip.
Thanks Dave
Isn't it great to have the freedom to choose? 👍
@@gordonmculloch4904 it sure is Gordon 🚲👍
@@davesolobiker5601Ah, that makes sense now, thought I’d seen this from you. Looks like a good trip 😊😊

Great video Dave. Like your choice of music.
Thanks Chris 🚲⛺️👍
Fantastic trip Dave, loved the history and the stealth bivy !⛺️, looked a lovely route, it’s added to my list😄👍🏻
Thanks Ian, that list is growing longer by the week 😂 see you in a few week ⛺️🚲👍
Great trip !🍀 Had a similar camping spot on tamac after a long trip through Switzerland on small motorbike .Woke up refreshed and ready for the next day👍
Great stuff , out of sight out of mind . The way to go atb Dave ⛺️🚲👍
Enjoyed that dave I've cycled most of that route myself atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Cheers Jimmy , quite deep into Lundy country on this one atb Dave ⛺️🚲👍
Really like your videos very genuine like your channel better than the bigger channels they seem very corpy. Have you ever done ncn81 to Aberystwith planning to do this the weekend on a folding electric bike from Welshpool to Aberystwith booking a campsite halfway to charge battery normally use hybrid bike but going to see how I can do power management to get to Aberystwith and the train back which is only £10.60. Question is have you ever done that route in the past.
Thanks, no I haven’t rid that route but Ian might have @mortyoutdoors . Sounds like fun on a folding bike , I guess power only on hills and off downhill and flat . Happy cycling atb Dave 🚲👍
Just come across your bike channel Dave didn't even know you had it so subscribed mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Thanks Jimmy , I set it up in the pandemic for my biking stuff etc and it’s slowly grown atb Dave 🚲👍
Another great blog Dave - hope you enjoyed it, alwasy fascinates me those rural roman outposts up there - would highly recommend Vindolanda you went past, highly worthwhile and oddly enough despite being in private membership, way better than anything Engligh Heritage have on the wall. I did this the other year and was dissapointed that whilst they had active digs at Vindo, the EH sites literally zero being done at them.
Thanks mate , it was an enjoyable trip. Vindolanda is on the to visit list one day. Tfw atb Dave ⛺️🚲👍
Great video Dave, regarding the bivy, are you having condensation issues? I travelled myself with a tent but Im going to switch to bivy soon. Thanks and keep ug the great work!
Thanks , I had slight condensation issue at the foot end . It all depends on the conditions as well. Like any shelter damp with no wind is a recipe for condensation. Atb Dave
@@davesolobiker5601 got it. Thanks for the info!!
Brilliant tour and commentary and video. I'll be doing this trip in just over a weeks time. If you did it again, what items is essential to take? Many Thanks Mike
Thanks , difficult one that . Deffo waterproofs. Stuff I didn’t use like spares, tubes and tools extra weight but wouldn’t leave without them. I think I have it fairly dialled in with what to carry without overdoing it . Atb Dave and enjoy your trip 🚲⛺️👍
👍🏻👍🏻🚴
⛺️🚲👍
What will you do with regarding the water filter for expats who watch your channel ?
If I’m camping higher up I will filter it from fast running streams.
