    The LDCs have more farmland per tractor, so they have less tractors overall. On the other hand, MDCs have more tractors for land, meaning they have more tractors. (1 tractor for 500 farms in LDCs vs. 1 tractor for 5 farms in MDCs). like a tractor:farmland ratio

    I'm pretty sure it means the more tractors you have the fewer hectares you have. So the USA is below fifty hectares per tractor while Africa is mainly 500 + hectares per tractor because they do not have a lot of tractors. It is basically showing how much machinery each country has for agriculture leading to a reason as to if it is a developing country or a developed country. Developing countries like DR Congo has less tractors as compared to a developed country like the USA with more machinery.

    In response to the last part of the video with the tractor map, Africa has a lot more tractors than developed countries like the United States because it has a lot more family-run, small farms. A lot of the farming in Africa is subsistence farming, which is why there are a lot more small farms to support individual families, with each family owning a tractor. In more developed countries, there is more commercial farming, with bigger farms run by fewer people, so there are fewer individuals who have tractors.

  • @pranavrao3356
    @pranavrao3356 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm pretty sure that in Africa there are less tractors used for the same amount of land than in the U.S. because African countries are mostly LDC's and can't afford the same amount of machines as the U.S. has.

    Fewer tractors hectare land would describe the ratio of Africa given its current stage of development in which would determine how many tractors it would have per hectare. Whereas in North America, you'd be progressively more developed than Africa given the circumstance thus allowing North America to not only posses but afford tractor aswell. Further more, North America pertains a higher amount of tractors in which would require less land to be subjected over. In theory of course.

    In the U.S., machinery used used more than tractors, so there is less farmland per tractor because there are less tractors. Whereas in Africa, around 44% of the people are farmers, which is why there is a bigger number of farmland but less amount of farmland per tractor. Meaning, that the farmlands are smaller, but more numerous
