Hi Forrest - I’ve been watching all your videos lately and very grateful for your clear explanations of things. I had a spontaneous awakening about 20 years ago, probably a kundalini awakening but not with the classical ‘energy shooting up spine’. I had no spiritual practice at the time and never had heard about all this stuff when it happened and there was barely any internet info at the time. I had a lot of permanent shifts in perception since then, amongst many obe’s, seeing the spiritual star that turns into a vortex i shoot through sometimes - my vision completely changed, everything is ‘brighter’, sharper, more vivid, with a white ‘halo’ around things. I can feel sensations in most of my chakras. Soft energy flows in my back.. with or without meditating, when I paint (I’m an artist) my crown chakra feels like it opens up with a cool flow - I hear the high pitched nada sound in my right ear which sometimes turns into a flute or chimes. What I was wondering - with your knowledge -what do you think of spontaneous awakenings? What does your lineage think of them and how they occur? I imagine maybe I was genetically pre-disposed somehow to ‘pop’? And with these permanent changes, do you think I’m somehow in some kind of default brain wave state? Like more connected to my left brain all the time?

The vibration started an inch below the navel and spread out around my body then up the spine. haven’t been able to find any info on this. Positive experience but super intense.

I definitely want the energy to be able to flow effectively to the injury.

That's the part of the vagus that goes into the tongue. I explain it's not a block, but an activation. And you're feeling the intensity of that activation. Try resting in the medulla, or Expanding everywhere, Unboundedly.

They may take 18 month , sometimes more than that 😀
wow another incredible information shared by you sir. I have one question: do we suddenly get emotional changes when we start getting deeper in meditation. I mean emotional changes in negative sense like all of sudden for few days there is emotional breakdown or the feeling of pain for no reasons/remembering old pain. During such changes its difficult to meditate and a person deviate for a while.
Yes that's absolutely possible because you are slowing down and becoming aware of your subconscious brain waves which store all of our memories. So if there is past pain in our lives which most of us have some of that might come up and ask to be resolved. When we go through something subconscious wants to bring it up in order for it to be resolved but the conscious mind says hey I'm busy I can't do that right now and so the information goes on the back burner. So when we become very quiet in meditation it's quite natural for the subconscious to go hey isn't this a good time to resolve all of this? And that's what it's doing it's looking for resolution and release of the past.
@@kklyve it's possibly part of it, and St John was also talking about when the Higher Self doesn't show up to the pre-arranged meeting. So the spiritual adept may encounter a period of dryness, and he was trying to say this is okay and normal.
I am very disappointed with myself. I was too green for kundalini awakening when it occurred to me. But I am happy that I don't end up in mental asylum. Next time when it will happen again I will pray to mother divine to go easy on me.
The answer is yes but with a lot of hesitation. The hesitation is it doesn't have to be a huge deal. It doesn't have to be a shocking experience like it is for some people. It could be a very simple experience. So if you are looking for expecting exactly somebody else's experience you may ignore or Miss your own experience. As one student of mine said to me it was as if a new world opened up inside of me. That was it. That was his Kundalini Awakening experience. So you see it can be quite simple. Chasing after other people's experiences is always a mistake.
How do bodily sensations like shaking or twitching muscles etc. relate to this process of conciusly experiencing deeper brainwaves? e.g. when the shaking starts while in meditation but tends to stop when the sitting is over? Thank you for your teachings Forrest!
I can explain that so it makes sense, but it's a bit harder to follow. It's the same reason that many yogis feel spirals. The brain is rotating through other parts of the brain, and you're feeling that rotation, and when it reaches the body, you feel this and so does the body, and starts to shake or vibrate.
Forest, that does way more than just leaves the students in a lurch. That's absolutely horrible. They could have been having an issue that could come off to a doctor as bipolar schizophrenia or all sorts of things. We're talking about somebody's life possibly being ruined because somebody couldn't speak up and help them. At the same time I've noticed that there's a lot of people in the space that I don't think are actually doing anything they say they are but I don't think they are because they have absolutely no understanding of things
Sir this is out of the topic question Kriya yoga deals with Pran yes Then the amount of Pran matter Means some have less Pran and vice versa If yes then how to increase it...??
By the way, I work with 15 psychiatrists. On my recommendation, one psychiatrist who is also my friend is going to try your HRV steps in session for a client with anxiety. Will try to report back.

Namaste 🙏 In my humble opinion, and I apologize if I’m wrong, but I’m inclined to say that you have not experienced a kundalini awakening before. You’re intellectualize the experience which advertises your lack of experiential knowledge. All I hear are spiritual sound bites of what many spiritual teachers have alluded to through experience. The cookie cutter approach you talk about in controlling the kundalini is far from reality. Its not like a remote control where you can tell you subconscious mind to go easy on you, the awakened Kundalini once activated, consciously or spontaneously, will not stop until your entire chakras have been purified. The symptoms of a kundalini awakening like in my case is permanent and would be that way forever. The energy will have to integrate in your system to have a semblance of normalcy, but even with the sense of normalcy, you’d forever feel connected with the divine. This is when many that go through the process of a Kundalini awakening, which in actuality is a spiritual rebirth, will have a knowingness of their mission right here on this earth plane, and once they realize the truth of who they really are, they escape the cycle of rebirth. You never once talked about these facts, that’s why I know implicitly that you haven’t experientially gone through it. Many who have will know what I’m saying. What you deliver is information about what the process feels like, and although no one experience is the same as another’s, I know in my being that you haven’t been though the fire 🔥 of the kundalini process. That said, thank you for bringing awareness and light to us all, and may the light continue to shine in you, and all over you 🙏 Namaste 🙏
I get this a lot for kundalini yogis, because I refuse to talk their language, which they are attached to. It's very common. I always wonder how someone can judge that they know more about me from a video. It's a kind of hubris. You see, the word is wrong from the beginning: control. I'm not teaching control, which you're right, would be a great mistake. I'm teaching partnership; how to be gentle with yourself. The yoga world is wide. Surely there is room enough for both of us. Thank you for your opinion, and for not using inappropriate language, as some have.
personally I feel it is wrong of that good soul to go about asking for advice on such a topic to people that did not know what and how did he do his saadhna. Isn't this exactly why the Initiations are a thing?
This is the Kriya world that many people find themselves in these days. Not only in Kriya lineages but also in other systems as well. That's why I often say I'm a remedial teacher.

That's the part of the vagus that goes into the tongue. I explain it's not a block, but an activation. And you're feeling the intensity of that activation. Try resting in the medulla, or Expanding everywhere, Unboundedly.
@@ForrestKnutson thank you!
Yes , so true . When four months back I suffered from slip dics in and in mri spine tb also got detected ...I feel same whole lots of energy surrounded that effected part is spine .and rotate in spiral motion .....as my kundali is awakened i could easily feel the energy.....after one month when doctor again did mri ....my tb was cured .....my disc bulges from three disc was cured ...only l5 l4 disc was shown slip disc ..... doctor was shocked .....to see mri ...and i started to recover after one month ....after three months i got healed 90perc....still I feel the energy surround that part and heals it ...... where as people with the slip disc find very tough to heal ... They may take 18 month , sometimes more than that 😀
The worst is the lack of sleep ... what to do but meditate ? The whole day and night is in theta level. Wakefulness in sleep. Like dreaming but awake.
thank you! by the way i wonder what do you think about transcendental meditation?
TM is a very nice chanting meditation.
Hello Forrest, can someone have a kundalini awakening while asleep?
wow another incredible information shared by you sir.
@@ForrestKnutson Is this the same as "the dark night of the soul" ?
@@ForrestKnutson thank you so much sir for explaining it, means a lot.
If you've already been through it, then it is a part of you, and all you need is HRV-Resonance, Tranquil Breath, Freeze Response, and the Roll-up.
Lovely video sir ,, just one question is it necessary to awaken kundalis to reach out to samdhi ,, is there a work around available?
The answer is yes but with a lot of hesitation. The hesitation is it doesn't have to be a huge deal. It doesn't have to be a shocking experience like it is for some people. It could be a very simple experience. So if you are looking for expecting exactly somebody else's experience you may ignore or Miss your own experience. As one student of mine said to me it was as if a new world opened up inside of me. That was it. That was his Kundalini Awakening experience. So you see it can be quite simple. Chasing after other people's experiences is always a mistake.
@@ForrestKnutson Thank you sir 🙏

Thank you Nanna!
At the same time I've noticed that there's a lot of people in the space that I don't think are actually doing anything they say they are but I don't think they are because they have absolutely no understanding of things
its tough right now ;'( I feel like im on a bad acid trip
Is the pulling sensation inside my forehead a sign that I am experiencing a kundalini awakening?
Thank you for your the content.
Yes, that is this 1st Knot. You might like to watch my video on Lahiri Mahasaya and the 3 Knots.

Sir this is out of the topic question
Kriya yoga deals with Pran yes
Then the amount of Pran matter
Means some have less Pran and vice versa
If yes then how to increase it...??
OM in each chakra will allow the "prana to rise" you can watch it happen in the Big Bliss Training.
By the way, I work with 15 psychiatrists. On my recommendation, one psychiatrist who is also my friend is going to try your HRV steps in session for a client with anxiety. Will try to report back.
That's fantastic! I've already heard from people that told me it worked very well for this.
It has to work well because it awakens the parasympathetic.
1:45 there’s no more gotta’s for me, unfortunately, so I leave this video for others
Once I had that magnetic sensation on the forehead in a public transport all the time of the travel because of the mask touching the nose lol.
Lol! That can happen with an outside stimulus puts your mind there continuously.
Yea, and then it would go unpleasant and I would have to break it temporarily with finger or something.
Is subconscious and unconscious mind same?
No, the subconscious is the lower mind, and the Unconscious stretches into everything else.

What if I told you that you can spark the kundalini very quick and easy.
That's true, it's very easy.
