hello friends! It's been forever since I sat down and did a q & a style video. With fall bringing in new beginnings I thought it would be nice to have a chat about life after Art school, the transition after graduating, how I feel as an Artist, tips on how to find financial stability as a creative. In the second half of the video we chat about life in Paris, future plans and goals, embarrassing moments living abroad in France & more (time stamps below). As this video is almost an hour long, I decided to break up the q & a in two parts, with part two coming next week (relationship & personal development). i can’t believe that i’m writing this from my apartment at Paris. I remember my young self watching your videos from my room in Mexico and just thinking “wow, that me in a few years” and i finally made it. Now i’m literally living my dream life and more, i live in the place that i dreamed at 15, i followed my passion and started to embrace my creativity and be PROUD of my art and i feel so happy and loved.
this has not happened YET, i’m manifesting it, cause i know it my fking destiny and i know i’m gonna make it. i love ur videos so much, u are such a magical soul and u really motivate me so so so much and many ways
It kinda weird sometimes because i feel like am seeing myself from the future lol. i feel like we share a lot of goals: i want to study arts, i’ve always wanted to make a yt channel, i want to write a poetry book inspired by Rupi and now also you! I feel like it not coincidence that i found ur videos and that life is trying to tell me through u that i literally can do ANYTHING that i dream.

hi, so much fun getting to know more about you.also you and you answered what i had been curious about and that was how you learned french. You speak so well and i'm again so impressed with you. So many people have learned some French in high school so they have some intro but you had none. I am in Paris this is my 2nd year and I have struggled learning french. my husband is French and we have always spoken english together since we met in nyc. anyway i am now obsessed with learning and you say what he says and anyone I ask for advice and that is to just speak, and make the mistakes. my husband speaks to me in french and is making an effort to really push me more. since i speak spanish i thought I would just pick it up but a not so much. thanks again your quite an amazing person!

Shayna, once I was bending over at a grocery store putting my groceries on the checkout belt, these 2 women started helping me and were kind of awkward. I thought it was so nice. Then I went to a full McDonald’s, bent down to put my grocery bags on the floor. Then I went home and went to the bathroom and realized I had completely bled through my beige shorts-a lot. The final insult to injury was when I brought my laundry to the laundromat I was given an invoice where I was charged extra and they wrote the reason why as BLOOD. This was 15+ years ago and I still think about it Lolol.

I'm glad that you talk about the issue of not being paid for working in artistic jobs (aprentice) after i finished film school we were all expected to move to london and work for free to 'get in' to the industry. it's free labour, reserved for the rich people who can afford to do that... so i had to retrain and follow a different path.
I’m French and I lived in the USA for six years now I’m back to France and omg I feel like Americans sont vraiment des bons vivants. Il sortent la semaine, on une positivité incroyable et il y a beaucoup plus de trucs fun à faire la bas… Roller disco, drive thru movies, karaoke, wineries, breweries and so much more..

OMG, your embarrassing story happened EXACTLY to me! I was an exchange student in the UK at the time and had to have a friend go with me to a brand new GP to give me an exam. Needless to say, nothing was there and I wanted to crawl under a rock and just die of embarrassment. That didn't stop me from my partying days, though, hahahaha!
