    RIP, John.
I'm honored I had the opportunity to meet you, tour your facility and see your work. It was awesome. I wish I had gotten the chance to have you work on a motor for me.
    Godspeed, sir.

Awesome video! My father has a 73' JH, a blast to drive! Would love to buy another 907 motor, tare her down and do a high revving n/a track build in the future along with swapping out the leafs for coilovers, complimentary suspension parts/bushings, wider wheels and sticky tires, and discs all the way around

I'm going crazy waiting for the cut to happen. Could have programmed a rapid Z to .125" before cut. Shave even more time off.

Confused because the JH is a lotus 907 engine. Also, the stroker crank takes the JH engine to 2.2 litres.
Or that's what I was told...

This will be even more confusing, this 910 engine will have a custom billet stroker crankshaft AND larger Nikasil aluminum cylinders and pistons to increase displacement to 2,4 liters - not your garden variety 907 build. They both fit the J-H chassis, however. We do more than stock rebuilds here at the shop, much more. If you are local, I invite you to stop by some time, or let me know when you are getting out to SoCal. I've had people come all the way from Australia stop by and take the "tour".

Speed and feed both seem excessive. I think these engines started life as a van engine, Bedford CF. I worked on one JH which had snapped its cam belt, and worked at a Chrysler/Talbot dealer in the UK when the Lotus Sunbeam was current.

I don't understand why you made rough cuts for finish? Why not write it or move the block so your boring bar is only 0.200 above the part before starting the cut? It looked like a third or more of cut time was spent dropping on the Y axis at cut speed just to start each cut.
Cutting plunge speed? If you want the tightest possible fit by hand, wouldn't it work better to travel at 1/4 the speed or even less? Leaving it rough will need a bigger hole for it to fit. A super slow cut and a shiny surface could be smaller and still fit nicely.
My preference is a slight interference fit. Warm the block up to 80/90 degrees and sleeves in the freezer. Not a great difference but should slide in and out freely at this temperature. Locking in a second or two after placing it. Torque plate and finish hone liners, especially nicasil lined aluminum.
