It's OK to Say We Love Our Students

Lately it has been taboo for teachers to say we love our students and we have been warned that it can lead to accusations of inappropriateness. However, I really feel we have thrown out the baby with the bath water. It is appropriate for teachers to love our students and to say so. It is time to be wise and it is time to take back the word "love" in our classrooms.
