Super... I feel so demotivated. Worked so hard to get points this morning just to lose 2+ hours worth of points (around 200) in like 2 matches because I lost to lower rank players... I don't even want to grind for elder god anymore 😭 was ~1200 points away from kabal skin

I gave up too. This game's "ranked system" is abhorrent. I would have no problem if it was grindy, but rewarded effort. But the way it's designed, it diminishes your victories (some times you have to bleed to defeat a player with 80% odds against you and you get like +10 points) and aggravates your losses (you get matched with someone 2 ranks lower with 70% odds against you and if you lose, you lose like -88 points). It's unfair, nonsensical and infuriating. And then you lock rewards behind a system designed to torture you... It's amazing how such an horrendous system even exists. No wonder the playerbase don't give a shit to KL, it's garbage.
And it's also actually sad, too. They could lock rewards behind mechanics that stimulates players to be flexible and to actually improve (if you can't spam mixups and air projectiles with sub zero you end up having to learn the game, isn't it?), all while rewarding them for playing rather than winning. Losing is a fundamental part of pvp and learning. No one gets motivated to get better and to explore the game and it's options when the only thing that counts is a singular result, whitout any concern to fairness (the game doesn't care if you have 1% chance to win, it treats it as just another match). And if the game even shoves the penalty for losing up your ass, taking you some times the equivalent of 8 won matches in a single loss, you don't feel like you have to "get good", you feel like you have to transfer just a bit of the violence of the game to the asshole who made this fucking garbage system.
For example, imagine if they doubled the amount of points you have to get before reaching every rank, but removed the loss penalty. Then, the reward for winning would be upscaled to maximum for every character, but everytime you win with a character, it gets lower. However, everytime you win with another character, whilst reducing their own rate of points gained, would restore a bit of the other characters, until they get again to maximum. So, for example: I win 5 games with Baraka, and I go from 50 points per victory to 5 (-10 per victory with a minimum of 5 instead of 0). Then, I turn to Kollector, get 3 wins, the reward with him downscaled to 20 per match (50-30), but before I reach the bottom I switch to Sub Zero. I win another 2 games, and now Baraka, my main in this example, is restored again to +50. This would stimulate me to rotate between characters, punishing me for spamming a single one but giving me the option to it. And, also, the maximum upscale would compensate for losing more, as you challenge your safety zone by picking other characters. It's a virtuous cycle, to me. And it would literally not only fix EVERY problem with KL, but it would even turn it into a positive experience.
@@gustavogoesgomes1863 yeah man my main problem is that I have matches where I risk losing more points than I gain... In cases like that you have to be on a winning streak with more than a 1:1 win ratio if you even hope to rank up. And so far for me I usually end up with around a 1:1 win loss ratio every season. Now about the rotating characters. Um I don't know man.. I do like mk for what I'm about to describe right now. In games like street fighter v you have to do a set in ranked (2 is optional) but you CANNOT switch characters in-between rounds... you select your character before you even search for matches...That means if u have a bad matchup you can either challenge the bad matchup again or hold the L and leave 😂. In other games like tekken 7 each individual character has thier own rank so if you have 2 or 3 mains you'd have to rank them up individually. But like how mk does it. You have one overall rank (that resets every season) and you can switch characters in-between sets (to adjust for bad matchups or just switch up the playstyle) and the winner can switch unless they lose. 😁 my only problem with kombat league is the points... Everything else I'm fine with but hey man thanks for sharing your opinion with me. Yes I read all 3 responses 😌

I went back and watched the time in the first game you were trying to wake up with up3 you didn’t actually have enough to attack gauge left. You had 1.4 bar of defense and .4 of offense about. You had just used it on a wake up before that and then you used just your offense gauge on the big splash move that launches them in the air!!!

Does anyone know the Kollector main? I play Kollector myself and honestly I could learn a thing or two from him. He barely even made any mistakes. Patient, good timing, optimal combos... His hit confirms from the F3 into BF4(or the cancel if F3 was blocked) were so nice too.
And of course... What I suck at the most, defense... his was pretty good... I in the other hand, I can't block to save my life lol. Not because I mash it's just that sometimes I don't react. It's like mental lag hits me and I forget which strings are low/overhead and dont block correctly. Tho it happens mostly because I never did any practice(only combos), I don't even play casual, only KL and it's 5 a day for 10 days. So... I guess there's that.

Can I make a suggestion of the ""Pick my Character." Play as Geras, Make a custom variation named "Mr. Sandman" Use Quick Sand, Sand Pillar and Sand Simulacrum. Post number 49. Whelp, Here we are. One more post to go. I'm exited and scared. In one of my comments Super said he'd do my concept. So i have some confidence that he will do it. but I know that Kombat pack 2 is up in the air and the new Kombat League skin are also something that takes priority. If Super does not make a Mr. Sandman video, I will still post comments to his channel, I will still watch every one of his videos as soon as they come out, even thought i dont have Dragon Ball fighters. I still love the videos Super put up and he has already made a large impact on my life. Thanks to all the people who have liked, commented and shared this comment and have suggested ones like it. Setups and true zoning I would say. I'd say Joker's Ace of Knaves is a good example of pure set-up play
