I remember this being similar to the ending of Advent Children and Cloud's Smiles theme. Aerith is so close at the beginning; after a long journey, she is getting farther and farther away from Cloud. 😭😭 So sad to see Aerith doing all these things to make it right without telling the party what she's up to.

IMO they should have extended the crawling scene. It’s a parallel to the beginning of the game on how Sephiroth slaughtered the villagers. They should embrace the lack of subtlety. Even the whispers, everything is painting a picture where Aerith is the light and Sephiroth is the darkness! HELL EVEN THE MATERIA! HOLY DIDNT TURN GREE BUT ALSO CLOUD HAS A NEW DARK MATERIA!

such an inocent beautifull young woman just beging her young life. and knowing it would be taken away in the blink of an eye. tragic and heartbreaking. everytime i hear her theme i cry. i know that when i finaly play rebirth when i come to that part i will become a blubering mess. sometimes i think they went to far with this one. but i hope they never change it.
