It's horrifying to hear them say they'll pull their kid out of school to have "an extra set of hands" my mother used my extra pair of hands when she had enough kids to fund her lifestyle on social assistance, but too many to care for on her own. When we got taken by child protection services the term "parentified" was used many times. It's a real thing and it is abuse.

The sad truth is that even in cases where local CPS ISN'T hot garbage, the foster system the kid gets thrown into is often worse than what they were in.
Had a coworker whose mom fraudulently called CPS on her daughter because her mom was Hispanic and racist and didn't like my coworkers black boyfriend... I don't even know what the lady said, all I do know is that the infant was taken, and died months later from severe neglect... Starvation and severe hygiene related neglect... The courts finally gave my coworker her other kids back... Afterwards...
In another case elsewhere, someone I knew had their kids taken away because CPS was called on a family. Their kid sustained the injury of a split skull because the foster family didn't allow the foster children into the cab of the truck for any reason, even if their was room, so they had to all ride in the bed of the truck that didn't even have a camper shell, and the tailgate came undone due to a pothole which lead to that kid flying at high speeds out of the back and landing headfirst onto the road. I've seen many more examples like those too.

My mother worked in a pregnancy center going into it thinking it was a great service provided for underprivileged pregnant people. She lasted less than a year because she realized that pregnancy centers sole goal is to force women to keep their babies and not provide any support after the age of 2. She witnessed women coming in with children they felt they were forced to keep by the pregnancy center and do not want them, cannot handle being mothers, and are in no position to provide basic needs for their infants. It was a very eye opening experience for her.

The fact that so many places don’t provide help to mothers with kids past the age of 2 is disgusting. Any parent would need help at any stage of raising kids 😢

@Savannah Jones-Verity This simply isn't true--it's a talking point on the left, but it's a lie. Pro-life pregnancy centers provide many services and basic needs to pregnant women AND women with small children FOR FREE. I just became a mom recently myself, and although I don't need most of the services personally, I was able to experience the lengths both my local hospital and pregnancy center would go to in order to make sure our needs were met. These services may not be available universally, but most pro-lifers would be extremely supportive of making them available in their areas if they aren't already.

I'm glad Dr Jones mentioned how them only talking about a DNE abortion was entirely with an agenda, and emotionally manipulative - as someone who's had an abortion themselves I thought the exact same thing. I had a medical abortion, which is something you can do in the comfort of your own home, and medically the process is as simple as taking two pills to induce it. There was no invasive "murder procedure" as these doctors put.

Of course, any pedophiles or predators looking at a little girl's social media to satisfy whatever twisted desires they have are very much in the wrong, but so are the parents for making that content available to them. The Labrants don't need to post pictures of their kids. They have the power to choose to keep their children's lives private. But they don't. Pulling Everleigh from school to help around the house reminds me a bit of the Duggars. When The Duggars got the initial TLC TV special, Michelle explained her system. As soon as the baby was weaned from breast feeding, she hands it off to the older girls to care for or "be a buddy" as she sugar coated it. Those girls didn't get a childhood of just being kids because their parents had too many kids. Everleigh hasn't had a normal childhood since she was three, and if her parents follow through with pulling her from school, the parentification is going to do more damage. Especially when they shove a camera in her face during that process.

so just because the child might have a hard life means you can kill them? I don't get that argument, if a fetus is a human, then it has the right to life that is protected and cannot be killed. just because someone might be poor doesn't mean they deserve to die.

@@LilithsCosmicLounge your entire argument is based on the fact that a fetus is not alive, if you have taken freshman biology and then you know that that's a lie. There's no actual way you're dumb enough to think that a fetus is not a living being? Please tell me you're being sarcastic.
Also, if it's a human, then you can't kill it, it doesn't matter if it's going to be poor or have a hard life, you can't kill a human (which a fetus is literally a developing human).

Also, I agree that the father should have to take care of the child if he creates it. The problem with society nowadays is that fathers can leave the house too easily.

The abortion argument is a lot simpler than people make it seem.
Pro-life people simply believe that a fetus is a human and therefore has rights, this means they cannot be killed. It doesn't matter if they're going to be poor, disabled, grow up in a bad situation, ugly, short, or anything else, they're a human, so they deserve to live.
Pro-choice people believe that it's not a human until it's born, so it doesn't matter what you do with it.
Pro-life people are not evil, they just believe that a developing human should have rights that are protected, there's nothing bad about believing that, that's not too crazy of a thing to think. And when people argue against them by saying "adoption is bad" or "they might have a hard life" it simply makes you sound like you're saying that you deserve to die if you're poor.
Hopefully that helps people on both sides understand why the argument is essentially pointless, one side thinks it's a human, the other side doesn't.

Why would they not just say they decided to home school her? They actually went with that bizarre excuse. They could OBVIOUSLY afford a nanny and housekeeper and practically a full fucking support staff, but they actually tried to use that excuse?!

The most common form of pregnancy that threatens the life of the mother is ectopic pregnancy--the dr who claimed he's never had to abort a baby to save a mother's is either the biggest liar on the planet, or is perfectly willing to let women in his care die and should have his medical liscence revoked--ectopic pregnancy is unviable, and has a high chance of killing women if left untreated. Most are discovered by the 8th week of pregnancy, not the 22nd, and there is absolutely no chance the fetus is going to survive: stating that women in this situation ought to just "leave it in God's hands" is infruiatingly dangerous misinformation, that WILL kill women.
